    I sold my 2022 Civic Sport a little less than a year after I purchased it - not because I didn’t like it. I put ~40k miles on it and sold at $2,500 more than I paid for it new. Great car, held its value and drove well.

      The car market has been so crazy. Thankfully the Civic in normal years holds its value really well

    • @Chadscarcomps
      @Chadscarcomps  Před 4 měsíci +4

      There were a couple of things I said in my video. The Civic I drove was a Civic sport. It is not the lowest trim level (LX is lowest), but I would have liked to see a little larger infotainment screen, wireless Apple Carplay and Android auto (It has wired version of those), and rear power ports...it has only two power/charging ports in the car and they are both up front. I know those may seem like picky things, but when you pay $27,000 for a car, you want the things that will make driving the car feel good every day for many years.@@ammarisrar2005

    When? It comes to reliable Toyota is the best. Is proven is my third Corolla now I just bought 2024 se I love it. I have 2016 Corolla has 409k miles still running but I gave it to dealer as a down payment not much they pay but it’s ok. Never have big problems with Corolla very reliable Foreal.that’s why I bought another one

    I have a 22 civic sport it rides very smooth you hardly feel any bumps, corners and handles well the steering is very responsive. Isn’t as fast as you’d get with either SI or type R but has enough pep imo so far I’m happy with it

    I'm surprised I'm the first comment. Test drove both stuck with a Civic. It was a very tough choice. Definitely better than Hyundai and Mazda. Still, nearly impossible choice between the two and I picked Honda because turning at high speed was better.

    I'd probably buy the civic in today's market, but the Rolla was a no-brainer in Nov 2020. I got my 21 Rolla SE 6MT SE for 22,900 out of the door, including FL tax + negotiated 6 extra oil changes and tire rotations (beyond what Toyota pays).

  • @1Springloaded

    👍🏻. Got a civic. The Corolla, as nice and dependable as it may be, Honda offers higher trims and more power. No subscriptions required. The sport touring is nice enough I do not regret stepping down from a mid sized. Impreza also extremely durable shares that unrefined feel withe the Toyota . Mazda's 3 is a sweet ride but small and almost unusable for extra passengers. None of the others were really a option for us. We would have had to spend more for a bigger car and neither of us care for the ❌ over SUV craze.

    Very disappointing that the Civic doesn't connect wirelessly to a smart phone and has no rear seat USB ports. I wonder if there's an appreciable difference between the sound systems that come with these two vehicles.

    • @Chadscarcomps
      @Chadscarcomps  Před 3 měsíci

      I agree. The Civic sport coming with a usb-a port and 12 volt power outlet up front is 10 year old design. Higher trim levels include rear power/usb, but I think this is a big miss for Honda. Wireless apple car play and android auto come in the touring trim level Civic.
      I didn’t test the sound systems in the video because hearing the sound through my mic would have meant nothing. I do give the slight edge to the Civic sound system for quality.

    I have a 2023 Honda Hrv sport and I think it’s way better than both of these Sedans Crossovers are the way to go today. Plus the Honda hrv sport offers more features than the Honda civic like for instance All LEDs, Heated Seats, Blind spot monitoring, and turn signals on the mirrors and a much better and quieter ride. So those of you considering buying a Honda Civic but aren’t sure try considering the Honda hrv sport like I did and you’ll be happy. I have over 6,000 miles on mine and no issues. Also I dislike the auto stop/start feature on the Civics and both are similar vehicles as they are Hondas but the Hrv offers better features if you can get past the fuel economy numbers being a little lot lower.

    On the Corolla dashboard, it looks like someone just glued on a large iPad -- very awkward, and unattractive. P.S. -- I love my Subaru Impreza Hatchback (2023). Will you be reviewing any Subarus or Mazdas? The MSRP for my Subaru was 4K less than the Honda Civic.

    • @Chadscarcomps
      @Chadscarcomps  Před 3 měsíci

      I have a long list of cars to compare. Subaru does make the list...but not anytime soon. sadly. Mazda gets great scores for drivability, and wins some comparison tests by Motor Trend and Car and Driver, so those will also be compared. I expect most manufacturers will go away from "ipad screens" in their cars in favor of integration a larger screen (driver screen and multimedia screen) lower into the dash.

    I drove my ‘02 Civic LX for 18 years. It was on its last legs though (21 years old) when I finally bought a new 2023 Civic Touring in January ’23.
    I’ve had an excellent experience with both Civics. Love the new 11th gen design! Honda went back to their design roots and knocked it out of the park. Love the understated, polished exterior paired with the semi-luxury interior. It’s a beautiful car and I’m super happy with it.

    I unfortunately do not like the look of the Corolla, never have. The Camry is gorgeous but way too expensive.

    • @shawnfahey7243
      @shawnfahey7243 Před měsícem

      @Chadscarscomps have you considered going with a Honda hrv? A bigger vehicle with more space and better steering, it has Blind spot monitoring on the Sport trim which is what I have and Heated seats, as well as no idle stop/start feature which can wear out your starter every time unless you turn it off every time you start the car which can be annoying and more cargo space unless you are a total car guy.
