The concept behind interventional radiology is to diagnose and treat patients using the least invasive techniques currently available in order to minimize risk to the patient and improve health outcomes. These procedures have less risk, less pain and less recovery time in comparison to open surgery.đ
Took the words out of my mouth!
I was on the subway in NYC and had a girl in her 20s pass out in front of me. I was the only person to help her up and then had to scream at people to hold the doors open to help me get her out of the train car (she was awake but confused) and said I'd pull the emergency brake if they didn't hold it open for a few minutes which no one wanted, of course, so they finally held the door open.
She ended up refusing medical help so I just walked her to her office before going to work myself.
I love NYC but man, situations like that really are upsetting.
Glad you helped the biker!!
Just awesome!!! â€
Yes please do the video on the uterine fibroid embolisation!! Would love to find out more â€ïž thanks Dr Cellini!!

Very hard job trauma unit

Thank you Dr. Cellini for this video. It is uplifting to see how you save lives every day with these procedures. I saw that you have to perform these life saving miracles at all times of the day and night. This is remarkable and will never be forgotten by those patients and their families. You are awesome! I appreciate and admire your work Dr. Cellini.
I think you just jinx yourself when you say "I hope I don't get called in..." it's like saying the word "quiet" in the healthcare world xD
Lol right? That's like a cardinal rule in medicine, never say it's quiet or slow lmfao.
*_Jacket weather is best weather_*
1 million percent!

Good luck đ
Good luck, hope you get your first choice.đ
Good luck
Good luck!!!
@@alexandrarodeyns5564 Thank you :)
Love your videos. Itâs great to see medicine from a doctors prospective. A few years ago I had a PE with Bi-Lateral DVTâs. To complicate matters, I tested positive for the flu at the same time. Great to see DR working together for the good of there patients.
Sooo interesting to see this! In the hospital I did my residency in, we didn't have an interventional radiologist -- it was hard being out in the sticks! Good on you. Thank you for doing such a great job
A video about uterine fibroids would be awesome.
Also a little jealous of your weather, todayâs high in SE Texas is 90!
phew that's hot still!
Yeah it's still been reaching 80's and 90's here in Nevada, gotta love desert living lmfao.
Man, you are a champ. Going through all the days on call! Youâre a superhero!
My fav CZcamsr , I loooove when u tell us the types of conditions u see during ur on all cant wait for the next vlog đđ»đđ
This might just be the best vlog youâve ever made. So fun.
That's awesome that you saved someone's life!! I enjoy when you talk about medical situations you encounter! Really interesting!
Same :D I'd feel so elated if I got to save someone â„
One of my fav videos! Love the procedural talk. đ so awesome
Yes, please do a video on uterine fibroids. It's very common in the black community. Wish I knew about it before my hysterectomy!
love your videos everytime!! :)) i'm a radiologic technology student and watching your videos last year up until today made me love this profession more!! more power to your channel and i hope you keep inspiring other people with your contents!!
Thanks so much for the kind words! Glad you like them!
Great video Dr, Cellini and I loved the ending to this video. You are a champ and a God send.
Dr. Cellini just had a âis there a doctor aroundâ situation and for five seconds everyone cared and then they walked away.
Yeah that was messed up :(
you guys are real life super heros. Thank you for all you do!
such an inspiration! Great job Dr. Cellini!
I would love a video on fibroid embolism! Love your videos. So much learning learning happening from you. Thank you.
I hope you didnât get called in again.
Also I would love the fibroid video. I had one but I had a hysterectomy.
I would also love any videos on the liver or pancreas too (aka ERCPâs, or unblocking stones either with or without a gallbladder. I have issues with my ducts.
Thanks again for your awesome videos from over in Australia.
You are leaving summer as we are just starting to head into it :).
Seeing a video like that would be so entertaining!! My mom had a procedure because she had uterine fibroids as well and just more information would be so helpful also because many women come across a lot of similar symptoms and just donât know when to actually see a dr or just in general overthink a lot of the times! I feel like it would just be very informative for women to hear what to look out for!
The most cool and humble Dr even we are from two different countries but we have the same feelings working in hospital đ
I just found my new binge watching channel! Thanks a lot lol. Great content sir.
Saving someone's life, that's amazing Dr. Cellini!
I love his day in the lifes. Theyâre my favorite
Thank you for saving that trauma patient. Yeah that feels good â„ïžâ„ïž
I love Fall weather as well. Not sure about the pumpkin spice, but to each their own. Lol. Great video again.
lol
Thank you so much for your amazing work đđ»
Love the videos. You are a real life hero.
Wow, great job! You are amazing and always have a great attitude! I want to be just like you!
love your vlogs Dr. Cellini - it's really interesting to see your line of work - my day job is a software engineer, so complete opposite to what you do! :)
Thanks (as always) for saving a life!
FYI, I would have stayed till the paramedics came. This is the first video of you I have watched. Keep up the good work :D
I was born in Beth Israel Hospital and raised in the Lower East Side - then moved to Brooklyn when I was 9 yrs old. I felt like I was on a walking tour of NYC - and the subway (don't miss that). I remember those fire escapes, rounded steps on private and 2-story homes where we played Stoop Ball. I escaped to southern California many years ago. I noticed that there are so many tall buildings -- and looks like NYC has been under construction for decades. I'm a host for travel nurses on FF --- and now have my 4th travel nurse who's from Boston - and she'll be going home in 3 weeks. She's working out of 5 hospitals and is on-call. Then I'll be looking for a 5th travel nurse. I so admire all of the people in the medical field -- working so hard, crazy hours - but I know you love what you do. These are difficult times due to the virus --- and I want to thank you and others for taking care of us.
Thank you. Keep your focus!
Yes, a standalone video on uterine fibroids would be really cool to see.
Cath lab tech, trained in IR. Weâve done uterine fibroid embo in my lab and am always fascinated by them. IR is very different from my cardiac training, but I love both.
Send love and light âšđ from South Africa đżđŠ
Man I canât ever be first for the real Dr. Mikes video.
Dude has too many subs
Your vids are so informative and interesting Iâm new to your channel and I subscribed â€ïž

Please NEVER say juicy uterine again đ
đ€Ł
Uterine artery*
shiva swami still nasty
Hahaha....ya ...dont say that. But then again...large uterine fibroid looks juicy
BEST IMAGING đ
We understand you can't show patients but it would be interesting to show you discussing a case with a colleague or even discussing a procedure with a technician who wouldn't mind being on camera. I sometimes get the feeling I'm watching something from a strange movie when you are the only one in the hospital.
Haha there are a loooooot of rules in the hospital. BUT we are doing a pretty awesome procedural video soon!
He canât google HIPAA violation
Iâm new to your channel but Iâm really enjoying your content!!
Welcome and thx!
I told you before....wear a helmet! Youâre too smart and have worked too hard to damage your smarticles! -just a concerned mom to of premed! Sorry if Iâm annoyingđ€Šââïž

Dr. Cellini Nema na Äemu đ€
My dad lives in Zadar! I live in the US and go there to visit throughout the year! đđđ·
I love youre video's! Hi from the Netherlands.
Hi!!
Do a video on Uterine Embolizations!! Med Student interested in IR, would be so cool!! Love your vids
UNC misses you. Always grateful when you walked in the room.
Also enjoy watching your videos!đ
I 100% think you should do that video on fibroids and embolization. It is something that affects a lot of women and a lot of women endure a lot of pain not knowing that they don't have to just live with it.
Is there any studies about how much radiation do IR doctors get exposed to during their careers, and how "dangerous" it is (i.e. increased risk of cancer etc)? Nice video! Interesting to hear about IR
Dr.Cellini,
Thanks for all of your content and wonderful insight. I am a current OMS-II and have an interest in interventional radiology. I am wondering what your perspective is on the use of OMM in your practice if any at all. I know this answer could be elaborate, but Iâm interested to hear your thoughts on it. Thank you in advance.
-Giovanni
Yes yes!! Video on uterine fibroid embolisation please!!!
I love fall weather too! I cant stand sweating so summer time is miserable for me lol
I would love to see more fibroid content! I just had a complete hysterectomy at 63. HUGE fibroid and 6hrs of surgery. Laparoscopic and robotic but they ended up having to cut me anyway! Iâm good now! đ Yale New Haven Hospital is the best!
N
I think there's a term for it, like diffused responsibility? The more people that witness someone needing help, the less likely they are to help because they assume that someone else will step in. Ive seen videos of social experiments like that with groups of people.
Doctors are amazing humans.
Where did you get that scrub cap! Absolutely love it! đđ»
Hey Dr. Cellini love your channel, maybe you can do something on neuromuscular disease and the treatment of spinraza treatment
I have had lysis 2 times⊠one time for the full 72 hours and the other time for 12 hours until I formed a hematoma at a puncture site. Besides these two procedures for lysis, Iâve had over 10 thrombectomyâs - I just turned 27 years old. Going for my 3rd procedure this week! My IR doc is the best⊠love this department.
Oh, and many many many many many stent placements and even a stent removal
Yes please for uterine fibroid embolizaton video. Iâm suffering from fibroids and am told by one OBGYN to have this procedure another told me I was too young.
As a medical coder who codes those kinds of embolizations I would be interested in a video as it might me have a better understanding of the anatomy and how the procedure is done
That's all about doc... IR for life! Greetings from Colombia
Absolutely, I believe you need to have a video on fibroids. I was never told anything about my fibroids. So I would like to know
Would love to see the video on uterine artery embolisation.
The dogs greeted each other at 7:24 is super cute
I look forward to me saving lives too. Amen
Great content doc! New follower here. Whatâs your opinion on RAâs?
I think you should do one on the fibroids and another one on brachytherapy as treatment for endometrial cancer in conjunction with surgery and as a solo treatment.
Wow thats crazy about everyone left! Yes its ur responsibility because of your knowledge but idk i feel like thatd be everyone's responsibility to be there with the person till they can get some help! Jeeeez people
I love your videos
Please do one on fibroids. I have been dealing with cramping daily for 2 years. I have a great GP but can't get a good obgyn.
From 3:00 - 3:15 in this video; spitting facts. No more sweating and pumpkin everything season, I am basic too, but currently drinking a caramel apple spice.
What do you use to film? I saw the clip with you using your phone, but do you only use your phone to film?
Love your videos BTW! Stay safe!!
Video about fibroids would be great. Maybe a collab with Mama Doctor Jones. You could discuss fibroids and she could discuss other conditions it could be similar to
Can you explain why you go to different hospitals? Is it because it's NYC or is it common in certain specialties in medicine? Love the vids!
Dr cellini youre so handsome!!! Thanks for being such a super hero đ
I wish we could watch your procedure like Lenox Hill! Enjoy your videos!
Cool video!!
Could you show this procedure on another patient in the future (if it comes up again). Would love to see it.
Would love the full video on fibroids!
Also was wondering if you do g and j tube changes? If so then if you have any tips or tricks that would be great
I love him omg !
