Just saw your channel on CZcams. You people helped us out when we came in with a broken spring on our travel trailer. It was like 2 pm Nikki was able to find a spring and her husband picked it up on his way back from a tow job.They had us back on the road by 5 pm . I can’t thank them enough. They were very nice and didn’t rip us off. Your new tow truck is unbelievable. I did a lot of towing back in 70s , never had any truck like that. Good luck and happy towing . Those bodies are built by Utilimaster on mostly Freightliner platform chassis. LDV also upfits command vans for fire and police. Pierce manufacturing tried to buy them several years ago.

Just think in 1988 the third 60 ton challenger was built on a fully loaded double sleeper kw for c&s towing was then a whooping 228k and still is on the road I think it sold for close to that couple years ago bill bottoms started it all may he Rest In Peace

Gotta love that Whelan light bar mounted on the roof (Fire department style). Those spreader bar cap ends look pretty neat in that tool box but the one located in the rear appears difficult to reach. Seems to be an extremely smooth ride, no bouncing at all. Having the wife arrive with that mammoth unit back at the shop is badass. That's mad respect. How many times did you stop for fuel ? I would guess about 9 times. I figured 3 miles to the gallon.

Nice truck! Bought a Snap-On truck from LDV in 1986 ran a route for 2.5 years and moved to industrial sales and bought an 89 E250 van from them. They do nice work.

Love this beast of a truck and the video! But,,,, if I’m spending that type of money, 67 mph is not happening! Turn it up, bring the noise. I’m sure there’s reasons! I grew up in trucking and been driving for 28 years, but I really enjoy seeing the wreckers and heavy towing in action… learned lots

I adjusted it soon as I got home, we are in the middle of nowhere so local work is a huge area, but yes I stay as local as I can with it

I think it’s better for wrecks and stuff, it’s more forgiving than the synthetic if it gets up against sharp edges.
