- On this episode of Murphys Diesel we head Northbound in the Kenworth T880 on a quest to find the best three axle slide axle trailer! We ran into many obstacles but finally found one that we like! Follow along on the journey! Wrecker Rick and Nikki cross through Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Colorado. Some husband and wife humor. Stay tuned for the end and watch the new trailer load up a blade.

The most accurate thing I’ve ever heard was a former boss who said if there was a perfect trailer, none of the others would exist.
But in reality…. Mine is the best because it’s mine and that’s that. 😂
😂 100% true, or the perfect trailer is having one of everything, same logic applies to wreckers and off road rigs. My wife loves this about me

Detroit needs a tactical service vest with a handle so you can one-handed help him in the truck....... also eases some people's minds that he is not a stray and get scared.... helped me help my shepherd get in having a handle on his back
I know exactly where Mexican Hat Utah is . Spent 2 years at Kayenta building elevated school . Shaped like a cross . 75-76 . . Then was piss water beer works . 3.2 beer . Fed law n res . And Utah no drinking then . So we smuggled in 40 -50 cases a week .staying at holiday inn Kayenta . 25 construction workers drink a few after work then . Worked all over the reservations from Seligman to ship rock Hopi , Apache ,Navajo, knew Peter Mc Donald , and Peterson Zah . Also Black Mesa a huge mountain of coal . Then was 2500 years and counting of coal deposits!

I have been going back through all your videos. A couple of items to note. I have been paying a lot of attention to your recovery techniques on dry van trailers. But sadly I work in a port city. So 99% of my recoveries are containers. The other thing I really respect. Is you have no filter. When it comes to your thoughts on things. Mad respect for that.

I don't know about the making the dough but they are somebody around that because I seen some nice buns😊😊😊 and I have a miniature Detroit they look almost identical mine's just smaller a good-looking trailer that y'all had to go across two or three stage to get keep on keepin on
For as long as that grader has been around. That bad Larry is in beautiful shape. I am able to tell roughly how old it is by the logo. That sweet piece of iron is anywhere from 1967-1989. Let's say it was from 1989, even at that age she is in lovely shape. If I had to guess it was a highway department piece of equipment. I also guess it spent most of its life inside and was barely used.

The fittings on the trailer are like farm tractor fittings. Sissies use those lol. I was stationed in Vegas for 5 years and loved it! That place is Motorsport meca!

That was a long way to get to Denver but glad it worked out. You never know what a used piece of equipment will look like until you get there. Like seeing a hamburger commercial so you go buy one and it doesn't look like it did in the commercial. At least you got to spend some time with your wife.

Driving all over to view trailers that seemed to be the one by the sellers description.

You need to go into trailer sales so it can be done right, and have all the right fittings. Then you will have spare trailers when you need them for the future. Seems there is a void in the area where you are that needs to be filled for getting and ordering trailers. You have the lot space and mechanics to maintenance customers trailers....I think it would be a great fit. Sell all sorts of equipment that are hard to source.

Nikki I worked in a bakery as a pilot , I took the bread from one corner and piled it in another. But I quit that job at the bakery, I got sick of the dough and went on the loaf.

Just got hired on to help manage a Heavy Towing and recovery shop in Laramie Wyoming along I-80. Thank you guys so much for sharing these videos. Funny you post this. I been searching for weeks for a nice 3 axel side axel landoll or comparable
I been watching Richie bros and any other site. Checked and called dealers for days and nothing.
I finally called a landoll dealer for a new one, they want 120k and not available till April if I deposit money now.
The stuff at Richie bros is selling for a lot. A orange rental 2 axel 2014 sold for 50k and it only had 2 axels.
3 axels are hard to find in decent shape. Or at least that was my experience. I decided to just wait a little whole longer and see what the market does come closer to election time.
Beware of Auction Trailers, most are wore out , and 3 AXLE trailers aren’t hard to find
