Damn near thought wrecker Rick was gonna hulk smash the door off of Hellboy getting out when the guy ran over his rope multiple times! I would of had some choice words possibly. Luckily nobody got hurt and nothing was damaged! Great job Murphy's family. The cast of characters keeps growing and you're all getting it done with style. First one went easy and it's good your teaching the next generation how to do it right and the second recovery he doesn't understand what he needs to do to help get the truck back in the middle of the road he was not in control at all
My takeaways from today’s video is that Silverados might be the Cascadias of the pickup truck world and that soft shackle through the receiver technique is the best Kung Fu I’ve learned in a minute or two. Thanks for sharing this!

I drove wrecker for a lot of years and this was a great recovery, but the part when the guy tried to pass you while you were still tethered to him got real Western. That could have gotten really ugly. I'm glad nobody got hurt. Take care and be safe out there Murphy Diesel family.

The ole boy in the Silverado reminds me of some people I used to mudbog with. Now a days I’d probably go off on that dude, it was like a couple scenes I’ve seen right before things went sideways, downhill.

I was just in Ash Fork this passed weekend. Roads were good first thing in morning being 25 degrees. Little sloshy when thawing out. Was not as bad as i was expecting it to be with all the rain it got before i got there.

Great video as always. Never knew Arizona had so much snow and muddy trails until I started watching your videos. That ram sure looked classy for its age, showroom clean. Nice truck- owner if you see this.
Up north around Flagstaff is over 8,000 feet elevation, they always get snow through that area every winter.
A lot of people don't realize that Northern AZ, northern CA, northern NV gets alot of snow in the winter. They think the whole state is desert like the southern half is.

The Ranch House Cafe in Ash Fork had an awesome breakfast and they went above and beyond for us there.

Haha got a little western there with the second recovery.... where I live I think its called going northern it's when you have cut a truck size hole in the ice to recover a truck that broke thru the ice and shank to the bottom

Yeah it was the ram, that road was also paved underneath, it was a little stuck couldn’t go forward and couldn’t turn around right there, the customer was an old timer with a bad neck, he just needed a little help. Maybe could have drove it out but the kids needed experience, the other tow company never made it to the vehicle. Thanks Michael

I brought my daughter up like that, there is times when her BF is trying to do/fix something and she is like move over my dad showed me how to do this.💪 Like bleeding the oil furnace for instance, he was ready to call the repair guy l0l

Ps Robert desirous filmed scenes from deer hunter in my home town and in the mill town across the river . Yall had me cracking up on this one.
That first recovery didn't seem terribly difficult
I saw atleast 3 ways to get the job done and one was how you did it

@33:36, you had a look on your face like my brother the time he helped a man get unstuck from Tooley swamp, a 2 track with boulders dumped in it, could only go 3 mph on it, this man hit it @ 25 and was thrown 30 feet off the road into black muck, my brother was pissed, he was behind him and I was with my bro., this was deer season 1974, we had to help, our way out, but my brother suggested a couple remedies, I said I won't tell if you don't, we decided to pull him out, my brother was in Nam., so you can imagine what his suggestions were. I can read some ones face pretty good, don't need sound or edit just one look says it all.

Do you guys have an 8 or a blade? I’ve had to do that in the passed. I plowed 8 miles of road to get to a truck that was down off the shoulder of a logging road. Plowed in there, hooked the stuck pickup up to a truck and to the blade and popped that ole girl right out. I’ve never used our D8H for a recovery but I’ve plowed a lot of logging road with it.
Yes sir, we also have a 12g blade. I haven’t had to do it yet, I’m sure it’s just a matter of time
