I hate the metal valve stems. Glad to see you being self reliant making trail fixes. You, crew, & Hellboy are a winning team.
Thank you Don!

Phoenix Arizona….
Couldn’t be more correct LOL
A couple of years ago, after discovering that my son was truly not so interested in the recovery industry with the same passion as I have been for the past sixty odd years, I closed up my towing business and sold, doing quite well in the end for a business that had taken a lifetime to build into 2 yards , a shop that not only was home to my 9 unit fleet but repair facilities as well. I never had the business to justify a rotator, especially multiples of them, my heaviest unit being a V-100. However, I did have a set of bags. I started way back where hydraulics was but a dream and rotators weren't even part of industry jargon. The "Holmes 750" was not yet the queen it became, Only a few had ever seen an "850" much less operated or owned one. After all, you had to go the factory to even get one mounted on your truck. They wouldn't even let dealers mount them. And they were so expensive! Holmes 650 was still plentiful and you could buy a new "750" for a little more than half the cost of the factory installed "Holmes 850". Holmes was much like Miller is today, they had it all. Unless you lived in the Northwest or on the East coast you might have never heard of Oberg, Fentron, or Weldbuilt. I digress. It is a pleasure to watch your videos. Reminds me of ow, at nearly 74, the recovery industry still runs through my blood. As you are looking over the accident figuring out how you're going to approach it, so am I. Another thing I ponder over is how these people get themselves in the mess they're in? For instance, a 2wd F-150 with street tires in that type of terrain. Please, use some common sense. These are also the same people who want you to come and get them out for $50.00. Thank you.
Hellboy showing off, rolling coal on that gal. 😂
Thanks for the trip on 66.
Great job there Rick. If you ever want to turn the seatbelt reminder off on Hellboy, it's fairly simple. This should work on all RAM trucks: 1 sit in the truck with the doors shut and seatbelt unbuckled. 2 turn the truck on to the run position and wait until the seatbelt light goes off. 3 when the light goes off, buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 3 times ending with the seatbelt unbuckled and turn the truck off. If it's done right, the truck will chime once when you turn off the truck. The seatbelt light will stay on but it shouldn't chime.
Again your knowledge & guick thinking is amazing, Wrecker Rick!! U saved the day! Be safe& RELAX
a Hero for that girl!
Getting it done! Amen on a firm handshake and a sharp knife. Love it.
Love how genuine y’all are compared to the DB gang they’re still good guys just like the humbleness of the small guy. 👍 keep it up
That was a pretty good recovery and awesome MacGyver skills. Lady was patient and listened to your directions. Cool video
Good job on the trail fix. It just amazes me why people take a stock truck out in some of these areas. Hellboy saves the day again. Great job. Stay classy.
Thanks Chris! 🙌
A stock crew cab long bed at that, with. Bull-bar and light bar not even secured to the frame properly.
Stock yes no 4x4 either. Sad
good job on valve stoppage!
don't worry that was just the air "relaxing" it's always under pressure to perform
Remember just relax 😌 😎
Rick, if you need a great tow truck, the best I have seen. They have a CZcams channel. Murphys Diesel. They rock .
Maybe the next upgrade should be onboard air, or toss an M18 inflator in one of the boxes. Just a thought...
Hell boy is the bomb nice fix Semper Fi Gunny
Another outstanding job done very well!!
I love that spot. Seligman and Williams. Just such a cool area to do a reset in.
The country song familiar words . "what were they thinking with street tires"
Woo hoo a murphys diesel video is a perfect night cap.
Thanks for watching Aaron!
@@MURPHYSDIESEL thanks for all you guys do helping people ,and putting out good content that take my mind off the craziness of the world today. So basically my hats off to the murphys diesel crew thanks for keeping it classy
You and your drivers need to get some blue parrot or something other. This way, you could be driving hands free. LOL. 😂😂😂
😳
A firm handshake says alot
Cool fix, I ‘ll have to remember that 😊
We need a truck build walkaround in the ram 5500 and heavy semi 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Hells yes such a bad ass channel
Thanks Trent! Appreciate the support!
You stay classy, RickGyver!!! Great stuff as always. Any Rowdy sightings lately??? Rick better watch out for that guy...Any dude that wears those boots must be one tough som-a-bich!!! Keep the vids coming!!!
Thanks Dan!
I’m sure we’ll be seeing him soon…he’s been gone for a while. Sometimes late at night we can hear him jakin’ through town.
I just started watching you
You’re really awesome and hellboy is badass
Hell yeah! Thanks Joseph!
Worked construction in and around Seligman in the 70s .
Good ol'Hellboy

Wrecker Ricks school of off road driving
Wow cud of done without breaking value. NICE COME 👌 LADY Recoery
Your new name should be Mc giver😂
Good job Rick another day another dollar job well done 👍
I'd hate to know how much that cost
Whoa. Almost like watching Blair Witch. A stabilizer is nice to have. Great video though, and nice recovery.
Road kill cafe I had breakfast and had to find a shade tree afterwards more food than I could eat good food 👍 I did a 34hour turn around there great place seligman az. Is
You bet, one of my favorites!
Emergency valve stem kit and compressor in each of my vehicles. Ask me why😖
Nice Macgyver
What suspension is on that thing? Seems to actually flex a little vs my 5500 which doesnt seem to flex...ever lol Also what fender flairs are those!? LOVE THIS TRUCK 😍
Is it just stock or is it lifted in the front with a spacer?
Rick, I had these installed under the hood of my FORD F-250 F-350 And my F-650. And also I had one installed under the hood of my wife’s Jeep-Gladiator. I love These Rick!

Now, I am curious to know what that lady was doing out there in that pick up of hers? or boyfriend or husband. She clearly doesn’t know what she’s doing. Furthermore, she was clearly in an area where she didn’t belong.
Also, whoever is the actual owner of that pick up, got taken to the cleaners because of that cheesy light-weight, push-bar? Or a front grill guard????
I never did hear anybody say just what it was called, but I’ve seen different names for those cheesy things. I do know if you buy one heavy duty enough and if it’s put on properly, they work very good.
A cousin of mine has one on his Montana highway patrol SUV. And it is the kind that I am talking about.
Very, Very ultra rugged, very heavy made for, pushing other vehicles off the road with his and protecting the entire front part of your pick up or SUV. If it is mounted correctly. And his is. Mounted to the frame.

Does he’ll buy have a different fuel pump in it? Or is the fuel system turned up? The fuel pump sounds really loud for a 4th gen
The worst place to put a valve stem on an off road rim. What were they thinking? I think the designers were using their heads as just a hat rack on that one.
Have you boys thought about investing in kinetic ropes, ie Yank'm Ropes and Factor 55?
One quick pull with the kinetic rope would have had her free.
We don’t do snatch recoveries, we do controlled recoveries. We have plenty of winch power and anchor ability, no need. Also if we didn’t lift the front up first the plastic bumper cover would have hung up and got ripped off. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@wreckerrick I wouldn't do a snatch recovery either, they're too much damage to the vehicle, and snatch straps only last a few snatches. but a kinetic rope makes those sorts of stuck vehicles just pop out of the stuck bit easily, check out Yank'm Ropes (Matt's Off-Road Recovery, BSF Recovery Team, Casey LaDelle) & Factor 55 ( TrailMater and Casey's Off-Road Recovery)
Kinetic recoveries have their place but are wholly dependent on terrain and conditions. You can pretty much winch everywhere with a big enough anchor (13000 lbs Hellboy) and it is controlled
@@jcar1417 well said
Please put my rocks back where you found them.
Matt From MORR was actually contacted by the Forest service or someone to put a rock back on a trail they had moved in a vid
I guess putting rocks back needs to make the cut next time. 🤦🏻♂️
👍🏻
There's 3 things that if a man has on his person he can get himself out of most situations
#1pocket knife
#2 electric tape/duct tape
#3 a piece of wood
You put all 3 in the hands of a real man he will get you out of darn near an apocalyptic situation.
i need only 1 : a smartphone.
@@oczhaal only helps if you got a signal or a good battery if not you're screwed
@@aaronmcconnell7358 mm yeah, the trick is to never leave the area that's covered by the network. Survival rule number one in fact.
@@oczhaal I stand by my first statement and add this if you have to rely on technology to survive you've never really lived and survival rule number one is never leave your house without your knife and that rule is thousands of years old.if your hiking and not checking your signal every ten minutes when you no longer have service your knife will still function
2 wheel drive wth
Im getting sea sick on this one lol - get the camera guy a Gimbal ;)
Sorry buddy! We were testing a new frame rate...we switched back because we were getting sea sick too lol
No air compressor?
No sir
run flats ?
Does that lady not know how to use 4 wheel drive or does it not have 4 wheel drive
The truck is 2 wheel drive
I was a young kid probably 13...A guy I knew said nobody needs 4WD and could ALWAYS get out of anything with 2WD. My 13 yr old RC truck experience knew he was 100% wrong. But I was just a kid
Well ok with 2 wheel drive I think she could have rocked out of that but then I could be wrong
@@robertstock9912 Probably not she had a front and rear wheel about sunk to the axle or near
Ok so I was way wrong so better luck next time and good job guys as always
Imagine making recoveries with a super truck and not even having a spare wheel for it 🤣
Who said we don’t have a spare ?
Imagine being a CZcams troll 😮
@@wreckerrick mmm like err the video? Or is it hidden in a super secret compartment, James bond style ?
Street tires, 2wd...what the hell? Some people think that word "truck" means you can go anyware! 1.2 Fiat Panda would be better there then this truck. Lol
C’mon out to western Pennsylvania and drive instead on Route 666.
People are stupid why would you drive a 2WD truck down a washed out Jeep trail lol
The trucks natural habitat and immediately breaks down. Care to revise that statement???
That’s what you call breaking down?
@@MURPHYSDIESEL did it have to be repaired?? Then it is a break down.
