This is my absolute favorite recipe for making the most delicious sweet, soft and buttery rolls ever and it’s so easy! The hardest part is waiting for the dough to rise. Whether you serve these rolls alongside your Thanksgiving dinner, dunk them into soups, or use them for sandwiches they’re guaranteed to be a family favorite!

TBH he is my go to for everytime I need a recipe. I ALWAYS check him 1st. He explains so well and shows everything in his videos. His recipes are always soo good too.

My mother made THE BEST homemade dinner rolls when I was growing up. When I got into my 30's & 40's when I wanted to learn how to make them, my mother had gotten much older and she forgot how to make them. She said it had been years since she made them. Now, I am in my 60's and my mother passed away a few months ago at the age of 94. I truly wanted her to live long enough so that I could show her, I finally mastered dinner rolls. Today, I am trying this recipe. If they don't come out right, I will keep trying. Thank You for sharing your recipe. I pray that I got it right.
Once again, they rose slowly and weren't good at all but I will keep trying.

I'm so sorry for your loss. There were receipts that my mama made and I wish I had paid more attention to how she made these and other things. Did your mom have a recipe box or did she make things from her memory like my mama did? I think this recipe will be just right 🤗

I finally made my first dinner rolls at 55! I followed your instructions precisely and I am amazed at the results! So soft, fluffy, buttery with the slightest crunch on the edges. The color, so perfect! I already ate three. I keep walking back into the kitchen and staring at them!😅

My boyfriend just made me these for my birthday, and OH MY GOD!! They are melt-in-the-mouth delicious! We topped them with herb-garlic butter and coarse grained salt, and it was just fabulous! Definitely my favorite dinner roll recipe, thank you so much!!

O.k. so I made this recipe. I've made dinner rolls before but I wanted to make some with milk instead of water. I had to adjust of few things along the way. First I used 400 g of flour (instead of 390 g) while it was kneading in my Kitchenaid, toward the end (after 3 minutes), I added 4 tablespoons of four, one at a time, slowly. I used bread flour. The dough came out perfect! Also, I only used 1 tablespoon of sugar and I put it in the milk yeast mixture. I did not add more sugar to the recipe. Finally, I only made the recipe up to the second rise, after shaping the dough into rolls. Then, I froze them and took them out of the freezer the night before I needed them. I put them in the oven (no light on) for the night. They thawed and proofed. In the morning the were ready to bake, just had to baste them with melted butter. They came out delicious, soft, and light. Thank you Preppy Kitchen for sharing your recipes, your talents in the kitchen, and your awesome channel!
These dinner rolls are now a family favorite. I made them for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. I followed the recipe as written and the rolls turn out perfectly each time. They really are addictive!!

I’ve made these a couple times and it definitely takes more than 2 minutes in the stand mixer to come together not sticky! But overall, they turned out great 😃
I used your recipe for Thanksgiving and they were lovely! I reduced the sugar by a tablespoon for health reasons and personal preferences in the household. They were so soft! I definitely encourage everyone to make these.

Just tried this recipe and they turned out great! I did have to put them back in the oven a couple minutes longer. They are addicting and we could not stopping eating them. Takes a lot of time but worth it. Thanks for the great recipe!

First video I watched of yours and I was so inspired to make these! They were such a hit and everybody loved them! I loved how easy they were to make and how delicious! I’d always wanted to make dinner rolls but was worried about how fussy they’d be, but not these. The only trouble I had was getting my dough to come into a ball but if you have that problem add a teaspoon of flour at a time while the mixer is running and it’ll come together! I’ll definitely be making again!

I’m trying this recipe but I’m bringing it together by hand. The dough is very wet so I added a fair amount of flour. Hopefully the rolls still turn out well 😅
Update: The rolls did turn out well. I probably had to use about 450g of AP flour rather than the listed 390. These were super simple. I did the first proof at room temp. Shaped the rolls and put them in the pan to proof overnight in the fridge. Set the pan out while the oven was preheating and baked them the next morning. Will definitely come back to this recipe when I cook for gatherings.
