  • Flying Officer Tony Adams joined the RAAF and served as a wireless operator in heavy bombers, dropping supplies to the French resistance and bombing targets in Germany and occupied Europe in 1944.

    Clung on to every word, thank you for the interview. My father also joined the RAF at this time, we are very proud of them all.

    If Tony is still with us, give him a hug from me. So glad he made it through, but his pain on losing his buddies is hard to watch. I am here because my dad lost his brother at 20 yrs, also a wireless operator, in 1944. I never got to meet my Uncle, so to hear Tony's memories is very important to me. Mr Adams is still doing a great service to Britain all these years later. Well done that man. X

    Damn Tony would’ve died if the dude from grammar school wanted him as his operator
