The world’s first independent Air Force. #NoOrdinaryJob #FindYourForce #RAF #RoyalAirForce #Opportunities #Career #Lifestyle #ArmedForces
This is what the RAF adverts should be. Just show us a few fighter jets zooming around and doing the Mach loop and the whole of the U.K. will be fired up to join. The majority of people who join the RAF are people who like action so put action in the adverts. You can learn from the Royal Marines. Their adds are just soldiers on a Rib going through a swamp with rifles at the ready. It kind of made me want to join the marines even though I had no interest in joining the marines prior to watching that advert.
The RAF does not and never really had a recruitment problem. The careers they offer are far more technical and specialised therefore people have generally decided that's the job for them fairly early in their education. It's always been quite competitive to get in (with exception of RAF Regt.) The pay and living standards are good. The Army is the arm that suffers quite badly with recruitment. Alot of RAF failures go to them though
On my way to piloting for the RAF and this is my dream
How has it gone
Update?
Just got promoted to Corporal in my cadet group, joining the RAF asap - only 2 years to go!! Can’t wait to start my officers training and get in the cockpit
Good luck man, just put in my application two weeks ago. Remember to brush up on your RAF history, my mate got caught out in his interview cause he didn't even know who Saddam Hussein was 😂
Some day i'll be up there.. No matter what happens
Me too I am want to join the raf cadets next year
That's what I thought, gotta do real well in school, chase that dream 🫡
@@izzyandchloe3201 I'm in the cadets and it's absolutely brilliant soon I'll hopefully be able to be a raf fighter pilot
Man,I’m excited to go to air cadets and excited one day I might fly that plane
A Hawker T1 training aircraft, much more extraordinary aircrafts like a Euro Fighter or Harrier
i know about all the air craft in the world and im 9 years old since 4 years old ive know every jet boing
Ok so what’s a Convair F2Y Sea Dart? I will know if you search it up so don’t try me mate
Attitude 👎👎
You'll never get in if you don't accept there's always something to learn.
im 9 years old and i wish to be in the raf, ever since i was 8 to 7 i had really been into planes and countries/flags/war and i also liked planes, however i am really scared on what i have to do, being a soldier is scary since i have travel sick it might be hard flying planes but i will try and be an raf pilot
Coming to the raf in a couple of years
Can’t wait to join
Can’t wait
Man I really want to become s fighter pilot but I soo bad a maths like really bad :(
Are they still practicing?
Hello everyone
🥕🏐🐰🐜🍊🐍☃️👩🔧? 👍😉💰
The best airforce the oldest most cimpitent in the world. Ya we may have a small military compared to larger countties but QUALITY OVER QUANTITY 💪🏴🏴🏴
Do you get to fly alot as a Weapon System Officer?
I think they do, although you would probably be on the ground most of the time
Yes you do, WSO and WSOp are both RAF Aircrew and will fly with their aircraft, usually monitoring communications and such. You learn another language as part of your training.
No.3
Does this mean he’s a mechanic and got to be a passenger in the Red Arrows, or he became a full on pilot himself?
Passenger, technicians often get opertunities to fly with their Sqn. If you work on rotary at Odiham or Benson you will regularly fly in the helis, lots of overseas postings too.
Going to try out air cadets when I turn 13
same
#No_ordinary_job
I have a decision I can't make join the RAF as an aircraft technician mechanical or join6the army as a gunner
Definetly the RAF you get treated so much better. The difference between a rifleman in the army and an RAF engineer is massive. Much better pay benefits and experiences in the RAF
A Tech M best trade you can do 😉
what's the hardest part of becoming a pilot?
Hi
There are several stages to the application process. Aptitude Tests, Medical, Fitness, Interviews and leadership/teamwork assessments etc. Different people find different elements harder than others. It will depend on you.

@@royalairforce thank you
Maths. I hate it with passion because my teachers at school just shout at me for not understanding. I am just garbage at maths and I hope I will get better but I just don’t know. I have always wanted to be a fighter pilot since I was six years old or so and play flight sims like DCS World and I am really good at it and taking my PPL and I am really a natural at actually flying but I just want to get better at maths but don’t know how.
RED ARROWS!!!
Foxtrot Oscar Mike (Fly On Mates)
I always wanted to be a fighter pilot when i was growing up because my Grandad flew a Spitfire in WW2. But i wouldn’t want to be one now and not for the last 8 years!
How many Billions of everyone’s tax money are you spending on spraying the sky?!
Shame on you.
RAF are currently pushing hard for environmental cleanliness. A flight was completed not long ago using 100% sustainable fuel. You can't just flip a switch unfortunately, it's a step in the right direction.
Another fun fact, the RAF doesn’t use tax money on aerobatic smoke, so yh
