Well I watched a few S.A.K videos, blinked and found myself owning a classic SD alox, a ranger, a minichamp and now a manager. I really have no idea where they came from, it's as if they appear out of thin air! 🙄
I have a version of the knife you show at the 6:20 mark. Mine has red scales with a simple silver cross and only one blade. It’s been in the family for as long as I can remember. Do you have any idea what era it might be from?
Sounds like an old cross Pioneer solo. Pretty cool knife. They stopped making them in 1999 There are methods to place a date range on it, like the stamp on the tang and the liner. Feel free to email pics to swissarmydan@gmail.com Cheers!
Swiss army Dan which knife would you recommend to start a collection I have the spartan the huntsman and the SD classic I have become disabled and have fallen in love with all your videos you are awesome and respect your knowledge any help from you would be appreciated have alot of time on my hands now and would love to keep my collection going money is tight but have become hooked on the sak lol thanks for your time and help
Hey James. I’d learn about the vintage and or collectable models and scoop up some that represent good value online. Some sellers don’t know what they have; it’s just an old knife to them. You can certainly score some bargains and Dan mentions a few he’s picked up from yard sales and online. Know what you like and what they are worth to a collector. The beauty of SAK collecting is that you do not need a lot of money. Enjoy!
Greetings, Could you make a video about Outrider Victorinox new model? Is there really a new system to block the knife? Instead of the slice botton, as well the word patented, it isn’t on it, Thanks in advanced

I like them all, but the vintage ones are lot lot cooler, but I actually love the Swiss confederation emblem. Nice video buddy, cheers.

I think the "Black Beauty" was made for the Swiss Railway system, and sold at railroad stations. They do cost a fortune.
I have heard the cross on the soldier knifes is the Swiss code of arms - no idea if this is correct?
my knife is different. it's an officer but three point shield but no lines horizontal to side of shield.
At 6:03, know yourself. I certainly feel that way. Even though I have only amassed 25 SAKs to this date.
LOL. Thanks for watching, my friend. Cheers!
