      Hi yes shouldn’t be a problem, replace the all purpose flour amount with cake flour

    Hi, can I use six inch square mould. Most of the tutorial video use hoon kwe flour to make the jelly .Yours you use egg and custard powder (I like custard powder). Very eager to try making this. I have all the ingredients except the size of the mould.

    • @ruyiasianrecipes
      @ruyiasianrecipes  Před měsícem +1

      Hello 👋! Hmm 🤔 if you use 6 inch the baking time will be longer. Also the mould might not be high enough for the whole batter. I would recommend a 7 inch. Yes a lot use hoon Kwe cos the ones selling has the hoon kwe flour. It has a vanilla flavouring in the flour.

    Thank you for sharing with us a lovely recipe. I am not able to get pandan leaves, could you suggest how l could change the recipe using cocoa powder. Thank you.

    • @ruyiasianrecipes
      @ruyiasianrecipes  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi again! Yes, you can change the pandan leaves to cocoa powder and change the water to milk. Mix cocoa powder with 100 ml milk. Since you are using cocoa powder, you can also change 200 ml coconut milk with cream instead of using 400 ml ml coconut milk. The rest of the ingredients and process can stay the same. I have not tested with cocoa powder but this is how I would improvise it.

    Hi, I want to try out your recipe. However, may I enquire whether it is ok to use Instant Jelly powder instead of Agar Agar powder? Just wanted to make sure before I proceed. Thank you for replying.

    • @ruyiasianrecipes
      @ruyiasianrecipes  Před 9 měsíci

      Hi if you use instant jelly powder, mix the powder with sugar first so that there will be no clumps when cooking. It really depends on the texture you want. If you use agar-agar powder, the pandan jelly will be similar to firm custard texture. If you use instant jelly it will be more springy texture. Another thing to consider is my agar-agar powder to liquid ratio based on packet instructions is 10grams per 1000 ml liquid. So I used 9 grams for 950 ml liquid. You will need to adjust your powder accordingly. If you have other questions do drop me another comment.

      Hi Ruyi, I appreciate your time and effort for your detailed explanations on my queries. I would think it is better for me to use the same agar agar like yours and follow your recipe exactly. Thank you so much. God Bless You!
