My Lord Jesus, who are the Master of life and of death; for whom we live, and for whom we let us die, I pray you, by the Most Holy and most sweet painful death that you suffered on the Cross, to do me the favor that on the day of my death, when you come to judge me, you will not find me not asleep, nor ill-prepared, like a cowardly and lazy servant, but ready to receive you like a faithful and vigilant
servant. Do not allow me to die unrepentant, nor to be surprised by death, but make me strong and equipped:

May your holy Angels assist me at the hour of my departure, may they defend me against temptations , may they console me in my sorrows, and may they strengthen me in my weaknesses.
May Faith, Hope, Charity and Patience animate my heart with holy vigor.
May I have until the end the presence of mind necessary to place my soul in your hands, and may end my life in holy peace, in order to pass happily from this world into your Kingdom, which you have acquired with such a great price!
O Lord, who with sovereign goodness promised and gave Paradise to a thief who only recognized himself at the end, remember me, and forget all my sins.

Would Jesus want. us to obsess about the sins we've committed in the past, or obsess about our potential to be holy?
So many committing mortal sin and damning their souls, starting at a young age.
