St Francis de Sales is my patron saint and absolute favorite saint ever! A man who so inspired the world by his gentleness and kindness and knowledge that thousands of heretics converted to the true and Catholic Faith . I am studying journalism at my university, so he holds a particular place in my heart because he is the patron saint of writers, journalists, and the press. Please pray for me through the intercession of St Francis de Sales that I may show the world the truth through my writings as an aspiring journalist.
My son has just chosen Him for his Confirmation, because of his gentleness. What a wonderful saint to ask to be there at Mass on your Confirmation.
He will be there. I read that the Holy Spirit inspires us to choose the saint that really picked us.

I highly recommend his book, "Treatise on the Love of God"! It's easy to read and to absorb, but richly profound and beautiful also. One of the best works of the saints I've read so far, imo. 🙂
