@@joehouston2833 There are two reasons I'm not Roman Catholic and one of them is worth mentioning because it can (must) change. I don't trust priests. The CSA in the church seems to have been going on since the Romans had problems with it, and Pope Francis' efforts aren't enough to stop the abuse. A lot more would need to be done for it to be completely rooted out. Please, as a Catholic, be more vocal about CSA with your priests and fellow clergy. I know there's a huge culture of sexual shame and keeping things quiet (I have Catholic friends), but you need to all talk about it, fully face it, and ensure that there's change. I've only seen varying degrees of denial and, sadly, those who fully face it tend to leave the church. Not all. Some stay and take it on as a fight, God bless them, but they're never those with the power to effect proper reform.

But if I can't trust a man, if I'm always subconsciously afraid of him, or wondering if he's one of the Good Ones, I can't go to him for spiritual guidance or for confession, for example. I've been to mass a number of times and loved it, but I always felt a little uneasy. That wouldn't change until the church did something substantial.
Prayers lifted up for you to find your spiritual refuge in the Ark of The Catholic Church by conversion. The beauty of the Sacred Tradition and fullness of the revelation of Jesus Christ and His Church is only found in the Catholic Church. I was never fully satisfied with any of the Christian churches, which I used to be Southern Baptist, then non dominational. I was always left with unanswered questions about the faith and the true spiritual reality to be a Christian in its fullness. God bless!!! ❤️

@@sia9907 being catholic isn't devotion to priests. They are sinners too. It's the word of God through the church that's important.
