    Is your t shirt inside out? Nice job mate, I'm tempted to do that to my Isuzu Trooper lol

  • @jayone7437
    @jayone7437 Před rokem

    When cutting the second fender you should have turned the material over so that the same texture was evident.

      I flipped the pattern over- same result. You must have missed that.

    NICE FLARES!!
    the t shirt being inside out is strange but whats even stranger?! The fact that you used self tappers at all. When you drilled the holes, you should have just riveted it then, not to mention that washers would help prevent the fenders being ripped off from getting snagged on something.

    • @DocSprocket
      @DocSprocket  Před 7 lety

      I did the screws at first, because a lot of mower modders probably don't have a rivet gun, and because I wanted to make damned sure I was happy with the results before I committed to rivets. It may be hard to see in the vid, but I DID use washers when I switched to rivets.

      I don't blame you, i hadn't thought of it that way. also was looking for a different "silly" thing incase the inside out shirt wasn't it lol

      Maybe that should have been the thing! Apparently, the shirt was way too easy, and folks nailed it fast. I'll have to make the next one harder!

    I have a murray I put together for my neice and nephew. I took a piece of sheet metal I got from the hardware store, bent it to the shape of the fender, cut it to the shape of the hole where the deck height selector plate is, and painted it the body color. Its just a little thing, but it looks better. Just a thought. Fugazi has come a long way. I am really liking what you are doing with it. Your work is thorough and you pay attention to the little things like I do.

      While I really should be wearing a shield (my bad), I should point out that my sunglasses are actually tinted safety glasses- so, I'm not TOTALLY naked, so to speak. I have a LOT of grinder experience, and can actually make some pretty complex cuts that many people could not. You see me with my left hand in there, using it to stabilize and guide the cut. I know it looks dicey, but I'm no rookie with a grinder. Thanks for watching!

    I like what you did. The silicone I would silicone all my tabs that was bent and then I would have put the flap on top and then I would have put the ribbits in that way it is silicone is in between the metal and the flat and it would be sealed as the only thing I would have done different. That is what I'm going to do to my race tractor lawn mower. Thank you for the video

    You did a great job - very innovative! Unfortunately for me, I am trying to find a way to make "custom" Flares for my 2020 CFMOTO ZForce Trail side by side and the fenders currently on it are fiberglass and you cannot bend them, plus there are also multiple angles involved. They apparently don't make an OEM or aftermarket "fitted" set, and I have not been able to figure out how to make my own. I considered the 1/4" rubber sheet and cut out a pattern, but with the multiple angles I cannot make it work. Thanks for sharing!
