7 Day SUP Board & Camping Trip Down the River Severn
We embark on our very first physical travel challenge and we are so excited to share it with you. We have only ever SUP board 3 times and wild camped once so it only made sense to go on a 7 day SUP board camping trip down the River Severn. It certainly was wild! We will be paddling 67 miles from Welshpool to Bridgnorth which is a third of the entire length of the River Severn. If there is anything you take away from this mini series we hope it's 'Nothing grows in the comfort zone', go do something wild today!

Wow!! Amazing stuff Nic and Sam, we are really inspired by your video. Such great fun. We would love to do something similar here in Central Portugal, where we have some amazing rivers with fabulous views quite near to where we are located. We fancy a few nights on the Rio Zezere but it may be quite big/wide for our first trip so will need to do some further research for the first trip. We love how stable the Bluefin SUP looks too. You guys inspire us so much! We are currently building our first van and looking forward to a year of travelling. We would love a SUP to take with us on our big adventure. I see us paddling across Lake Castillion in the Verdon region of France and would love to paddle across Lake Como in Italy. We can't wait for our big adventure to begin next year! What an incredible experience you’ll remember forever! We’d love to go anywhere and everywhere in the UK with our dog Kyrie who looks SO cute in her little life jacket, but I think we’d start on the Thames near our family in Eton!

This looked sooo much fun, you guys both smashed it! I don't think I'd have drank the water either unless I filtered it too 😂 I hiked part of the Great Glen way earlier this year to connect onto a different trail and saw some kayakers following the Caledonian canal as a route from Fort William to Inverness which had some amaze views. I'd love to do the route across the canals and lochs to do the journey between the places 🌊
We’ve been blazing Europe for the last 5weeks in our van, tried SUP for the first time in south of France- would LOVE a teal one (Gecko Blue) to have at home for paddling along Loch Lomond and NC500 🩵

Loved this! I’ve done plenty of multi day hiking and camping trips which I love, and this looks like so much fun - another way of exploring!

Thank you! The Welshpool to Shrewsbury stretch is incredible and easy to do with all the campsites, I'd love to start further up the river though, maybe from Newport as it was full of wildlife in Wales area 😊. Good luck '🍀
Love it, wild camping at the river side, nature, company, what's more to wish for! I would love to take SUP down Danube river... It's beautiful and I have only seen a tiny fragment. Or Vistula river in Poland, Odra is regulated (by germans enginners back in 1900', to help with water transport and possibly of easily going up the river) Vistula is wild...

Just stumbled across your channel… really beautiful footage. The only cautionary suggestion is I would be extremely careful about wearing ankle leashes in rivers. It can be very dangerous and we had multiple deaths occur here in the PNW from paddling in rivers wearing ankle leashes. Leashes in rivers need to be above the waist and preferably with a quick release belt. … overall wonderful video though. Stay safe :-)

Haha, thankfully not, the cows we saw were bloody huge too 😂. It was an incredible trip and yes at the end we just wanted to fall asleep on the grass instead of film the outro 😂

I used to have a kayak she loved but sadly it went so trying to save for a paddleboard to take her out 😊🐶 would be my first paddleboard too and something to share/learn together and living on the coast. If I won I'd paddle it down the River Nene from my fave riverside campsite:) Awesome trip guys, thank you for sharing. Just a safety tip that's it's much safer on rivers to attach the sup ankle leash to a quick release belt, as the leash can get tangled in underwater weeds and it's much more difficult to detatch the leash from your ankle in an emergency than it its to pull the emergency cord on a belt - they're only about 15 quid on amazon but could save your life X

I’ve enjoyed the trip videos with my 9 year old. He’s just got back from cub camp, where he tried paddle boarding for the first time. We live in Somerset so there are some lovely rivers to explore plus we are close to the Jurassic coast and also our fav beach which is Weymouth.

We live in Essex but are originally from Northern Spain, I remember when you travelled to Santander and ended up in my neck of the woods, that's how I discovered your channel.
