I noticed you post really often. Do you use AI in your creation process? If so, how? Your voice voice? Your script writing? Something about all this feels a bit off.
I enjoy the content a lot, but nonetheless, I’m curious
@@CrazyCobraCC I do not use AI at all other than for the voices in my shorts. I have tried to use ChatGPT to write scripts and come up with ideas, and X Premium gives me Grok which hasn't even been good at all for writing scripts or giving ideas. AI isn't good for writing scripts at least in my experience, I don't know how to prompt engineer as well as some other people do, they've also nerfed ChatGPT.
I mostly look at reddit, look at what's trending on X and of course what other people are posting. I sit down in my Discord server and talk to my Minecraft server players from Pixelgrew and ask people for ideas.
The thumbnails I make in a free photo editor and the vignette, the filters, and shadow effect I apply help make the thumbnail look good.
I will admit I've tried to use AI, however it has never made anything good for me other than for AI voices, I am using my actual voice for these videos. The reason why it may feel off to you is because when I record me talking I cut out every possible pause and every part where I breath, you can still hear parts if you listen very closely of me talking then breathing but I cut it off very quickly.
If we were actually using AI, I would be pumping out more and more videos however the video ideas come from just looking on Twitter, Reddit, watching youtube and talking to people, the thumbnails are made by me, and when I record myself talking, I write the script, talk, look at the photos/screenshots I took, and write the script as I talk. This video however I sat down, wrote the whole entire script, then read it out and edited all the awkward pauses.
I also am using the same transition/zoom effect for everytime I bring up most screenshots/photos if you notice and I am simply doing that just to save on time when editing, and people don't entirely seem to mind it.
Lastly I think one of the things that makes my video feel off: I admit that I have never played legacy console edition, so I am making a video on something where the other videos you see on this topic, those people have spent dozens or hundreds of hours on the game in console while I haven't even spent 10 minutes in the legacy console edition. This video is my impression of the feeling the legacy console edition gave and I felt like I experienced a feeling that other people described you'd get when playing console, it just feels right, bedrock doesn't.
Thanks for enjoying the videos and I am sorry if I come off as AI generated, I don't use AI at all other than for voices in my shorts and for very small things in videos.
@@cubedimensions that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the cool videos! Your content is always attention grabbing and fascinating! As a creator myself, i am trying to learn as much as I can to make my videos better. One last question, what editing software do you use? Would you recommend it?
@@CrazyCobraCC It was originally Vegas, use Davinci Resolve, there are tons of tutorials on CZcams for it. There are some things Davinci Resolve lacks however there are people who would rather use Davinci over Adobe and they pay/get Adobe for free. Davinci Resolve does crash but it's autosave feature saves you from losing stuff, go and look up "Davinci Resolve For Noobs" sadly Davinci Resolve does ask for some personal info however they have never spammed me or anyone else's email or number it appears, but Davinci Resolve is completely for free, however some HEAVILY premium features such as auto subtitles (which is why I will be paying the $300 later on for my shorts since it's a pain to manually do) and it has some AI chroma key feature that allows you to cut out moving people so you can put text behind them or change the color of the background or of the person.
Davinci Resolve is almost completely for free and shockingly there are Adobe users that prefer Davinci over Adobe even if Adobe was offered to them for free, so use Davinci, if it's too beefy for your PC, Clipchamp and some other free software works.
The reason why the videos are structured like this is I have made hundreds of short-form videos so I am used to people having the attention span of a literal goldfish so I cut out as many pauses as possible, I hate doing it but I get infuriated making a short-form video, putting a lot of effort into it, and then watching it get a low watch retention. I'd start with short-form videos on Instagram Reels and CZcams Shorts first as Tiktok is clearly going down the drain, and try to figure out how to pump out videos that people will watch. I was told by a person that a true content creator can make both good short-form and long-form content, and honestly I am shocked to see any of my long-form youtube videos go above 1K views. This video is gaining views at a good rate however, I was told that you really need to pick good/relevant video topics/ideas in order to do really well.
Lastly I want to remind you that CZcams will always choose a 1 hour video that's been watched for 30 minutes on average for a topic than a 2 minute video that's been watched 2-3 times on average, they are optimized towards watch retention and your goal is to get people to pay attention and stay on youtube for as long as possible, same with other platforms.
Hope this helps :)
@@cubedimensions yes, thank you! I hope to try making a video essay soon, so this is very helpful! Have a great day/evening!
One thing I wish was on Java: exit without saving, I would love to go into my maps and just cause havoc without any consequences.
You can just copy paste the save file
@@Hohhot that's tideous
I remember they introduced that when i was still playing xbox one edition. never switched over and never will
Java has something console doesn't, the ability to just copy and save the world folder anywhere you want.
@@cubedimensions Yea but the exit without saving is incredibly useful. Say someone greifed your world and you didnt have a copy. Instead of it just being gone you could exit without saving and everything will be restored. Say you had a minigame world in the console edition (like I did) and instead of having to reset all of the games every time you played them you can exit without saving. Also there are external programs you can use to save your worlds to any folder on your computer, Since I was on wii u I used Wii U map manager. Honestly all i really wanted from legacy console was more updates and command blocks

I did it as a funny gag however I mentioned that the bedrock codebase built minecraft dungeons and legends when I cited Fandom again however, Fandom is clearly wrong and I was quite confused when I read this out, I thought someone would have corrected that error already, the new minecraft wiki is way better

The Re-Console modpack that includes Legacy4J actually fixes a lot of performance issues with the game, and preinstalls old school texture packs and tutorial worlds for extra nostalgia 💚
Didn't mention it in this video or use it because of the recent Modrinth incident, I trust the modrinth team however the attack came through just modifying an already approved mod to make it malicious so I was afraid more people might try to copy them
Fun Fact: 4J actually updated the original game, i don't think they added new stuff and just changed some stuff
You mean 4j update the java version?

I wish there were minigames in the mod, they made my childhood... I will always miss them, but great consle-styled mod anyway!
There is actually a server that has those minigames!! The thing is that it's still in the closed alpha version and, as of now, applications to join it are closed.
@@nNikko_o I learned that recently, but thank you! I still wish that it would be in the mod itself, though.
One of the best things about this modpack is how much better it makes playing Java edition on Steam Deck, or with any controller for that matter. The menus are so much easier to use and don't require ANY mouse inputs
To be honest, despite never playing legacy console edition, it is better than Bedrock in my opinion, and I'm glad to be able to experience it with this mod
I always looked down upon console edition being a Java player however, I realized that this edition truly did it's job, not everyone has access to a computer to the degree a Java players has where they can just tab out to look up the wiki. 4J loved their players
@@cubedimensions I started playing minecraft from console and always wanted to play java, and I've lost that console version and have been playing java for 5 years now, i love both. it truly was an experience for me.
@@cubedimensions One benefit of Legacy over Bedrock is Legacy was actually properly optimized for the systems it ran on. It would only ever go below 60 FPS if you were intentionally doing something to cause that, like blowing up TNT the size of an island. Bedrock runs like absolute shit on consoles, especially on Switch. I've even seen videos of Java running on a modded Switch and that still runs better than Bedrock. And I'm not talking about just framerate drops. I'm talking lag spikes, input delay, the world continuously failing to load all of it's terrain in time. It's horrible. I don't understand how people on consoles just put up with that now.

I remember goinng to my friend’s house to play the legacy console version. He still has it on his xbox 360
that's what's beautiful about that version of Minecraft, even if Java Edition was always the best version, the best version of Minecraft in general is any version where you get to play with your friends.
Who doesn’t?
@@Tizorixme. I never had a 360 but I have Minecraft on my Wii U, PS3, and Vita.

Legacy Console Edition was by far the peak of Minecraft for me, I remember going to a friends house and just hanging out playing split-screen with our survival world that we did everything in. It was really sad to hear they stopped supporting LCE. Very happy that this mod can bring back some of that nostalgia, even with its drawbacks it definitely was a very cathartic experience.
I Personally never had an Xbox, but i really miss the PS3 Edition of minecraft it had special gamemodes that were unique and really fun to play and its own music, i miss it tremendously and hope to buy a new ps3 sometime.
I was going to cover it but I didn't see there was any minigames in this mod, and I have never played console edition so I didn't bother mentioning it in this video

I'm sorry people have expresses that thwy fast forward the videos to "the point" this video was lovely and it didn't feel like a burden at all to watch it completely, keep up this great job bud!
I make short-form content so I get extremely annoyed when people can't even pay attention for a couple seconds so that's why the videos are structured like this
the tutorial world and minigames are something that minecraft can hardly exist without. When I got Minecraft in second grade I learned everything including redstone without even knowing what the Internet is. It just makes it so easy to understand the game. and the minigames don't need to be explained to anyone who played this version. Gareth Coker is a master at his craft.
They did an amazing job making it so people didn't need the internet to understand the game, when I saw people were praising this original edition of the game, I realized it was truly special because this was for a group of people that didn't get to use the internet that much and they did their job providing for them.
one thing i really like about the legacy edition is the crafting screen
Imagine how cool it would be to play with these mods and go on a server that replicated the minigames that were added to the legacy console editions like Spleef, PVP and the Elytra mode. Even with the same maps and everything.
I have a copy of the legacy PS4 game, and seeing this mod just brings back so many memories. When I eventually get a copy of Java Edition, I'm definitely going to be installing this asap.
You should get it this month, as it's half off
Now we need a port like this to bedrock cause I mean yeah bedrock does have a lot of specific features that the legacy consoles had but on the other hand console had a lot of things that were removed when bedrock came around
there is an outdated and pretty inaccurate very of a console ui on bedrock but its not nearly as good and knowing bedrock mods and packs we will probably never get this as the C++ code is so limited that we wont be able to change much to recreate the full experience
i remember playing the minigames on legacy console before bedrock was released (i was never really good at them but i found them fun), and i still went back to it when i wanted to use the floating sand glitch
thank you for covering this!
you are welcome I thought this video wasn't even going to get 500 views because other people are covering this
this gives me so much nostalgia. i used to go to my friends house just to play xbox multiplayer with her brother and her. man those days were fun.
Just seeing a video of the Tutorial-World and the Legacy Edition brought back memories of my childhood. Never knew there was a mod for Java to play the game like it was back then
If java didn’t have mods then og consoles were by far the best minecraft, ran fantastic, very easy to play with friends and for free, controller worked well, and the battle mode was so dam good
Definitely
i still remember the xbox 360 legacy worlds, like the tutorial with stampy’s house beyond the mountain, and the pvp arenas to play with my friends
This is awesome. I have so much memories with the xbox 360 edition (I still physically have it) and the tutorial world because not only I would spend days on it but I would also randomly dream about it and try to build random objects from my house. Great video btw, nice to see that some people still love this specific version of Minecraft.
And this is exactly what I needed. Going from Legacy console to Java around after Better together (I don't like bedrock,) really hurt my experience with the game, and I've always struggled trying to keep my interest while playing because it was missing the actual parts of Minecraft I love exclusive to legacy Console. I have never been this excited to jump into Minecraft since I got the Pocket Edition Demo on my Ipod Touch as a kid.
make sure to adjust the gamma and use sodium because the lag was very noticeable
I've been waiting for a mod like this for years! As someone who has only owned java and bedrock edition, but played the console edition at my friends houses, this is one of the most nostalgic versions to me. I can't wait to finally try it out again after so long.
I love how they brought back the legacy edition in a modern way!
it's beautiful
@@cubedimensions for example, Putting 1.18 world generation in a legacy console edition or something like that, this applies to all updates after 1.14
legacy edition is literally how i first got into minecraft. i got a xbox 360 from christmas in 2013, and they also gave me a copy of minecraft. i played mostly on it because my PC couldnt run java edition. i made a lot of memories on legacy edition, made lots of friends and worlds, i truly miss these times.
when my xbox 360 stopped working, i got a xbox one, but legacy edition was already replaced by bedrock. and when i got into it, i got really disappointed. i was missing some legacy edition features, and i couldn't get much friends as before, and they were mostly kids playing on phones, which was kinda annoying (or maybe its because i'm already a grown up), which i would say its the bad side of crossplaying.
another thing i miss from legacy is the minigames. they were meant to be a replacement of minigame servers, but oh boy, they did it better than the minigame servers themselves. it felt really official and natural into the game, because it had a dedicated GUI, mechanics and even camera movements built-in into the game, which was far better than what minigame servers usally does, with their boss bars, clickable items and NPCs. it was really something else.
legacy was very limited, i know. but it had a unique charm...
in short, i think bedrock is souless compared to legacy edition.
This is so cool! They should develop this mod for older versions like 1.6.4 or 1.8.9.
really interesting video i loved the old console editions i didnt know you could play them on java :D
Glad to say that there is a version of this mod released way earlier on for Bedrock. It's called Console Aspects and 4JUI. Last I've tested it's still compatible with the newest version.
Can i mix both?, as of now for bedrock I have Console Aspects and Voyage, voyage basically remasters the old programmer art, can I mix 4JUI for Minecraft bedrock and will it be a very nice experience?
Still often come back to my Xbox 360 to play Minecraft, I have it on laptop, but there's something about my almost decade old maps that give me a warm feeling.
I sold my 360 and ps3 back then so I lost all my old worlds

I still remeber when i used to play my legacy console edition n my Xbox 360. Those days were awesome, me and my little brother had a big world on that console. But then, one day, our console broke . We were so sad that we asked to our father to fix it, but the guy from the shop that it was impossible to fix.
Thank you for showing this mod, i will have a great time exploring the tutorial world!
Btw, when i played my minecraft world with my brother, it was between 2019 and 2021. Not much time ago.
Good watch!!! Let's chill with the console bros!
Also, on your note about limited worlds.
This is genuinely only a problem depending on play style, its not inherently bad.
Frankly, I enjoy having a set world size, as it grants everything more value.
Nothing really has much value in minecraft because by just going out with an elytra for 5 minutes its like you did jack shit, a new clean slate.
In the limited worlds, you have impact. You have reason to build castles and monuments, to fill the world with your creations.
You can't do that in unlimited worlds.
Honestly LCE was simply a better fit game than bedrock on everything that wasnt crossplay. Bedrock is cool and all, but lce really was its own little charming thing. While the mod is cool for java given that lce was more similar to it than bedrock, porting the ui to bedrock would be a pretty big game changer and has been my most wanted thing there since
They got confused they were supposed to make java playable on console not the other way around 💀
java is now extremely laggy and bedrock has latency issues and is unstable, legacy console edition shockingly did a good job
I played on the PS4 and xbox 360 and man the premade maps and tutorial worlds were amazing, I mostly played those and when i was younger lol
This mod is great. As a person who grew up playing the legacy edition and it being my introduction to Minecraft, I want this to be the way I normally play Java from this point on.

glad to hear that!
Thanks for the tip at the beginning of the video
when i was first intodiuced to minecraft when i was 6 , i played on my older brothers xbox one. i always loved playing on that edition and when i got java , I immediatly thought it was a duller version of it. now that i can get the legacy console edition for java , this is one of the best mods out there.
i have my ps3 with a copy of minecraft and oh my god i got such a nostalgia wave from just looking at the mod
I remember playing this version on my ps3, the good times. Also it had minigames which were amazing, played with friends all day long.
I see a lot of hate on bedrock in these comments with people saying its unplayable but in my years of playing bedrock the only major issue i had was the not being able to connect to my account (and that was years ago). I have played legacy, bedrock and java and most of the issues were on legacy (not saying its bad) but the game corrupted and deleted every world that i opened
For added effect, make the HUD size 2, crank up the gamma (who doesn't?), and make full screen resolution 700xsomething and go fullcreen
Really gives off that SD, old TV look,
Bonus points if you use a controller-
i'll admit, i started to tear up (interrupted by very frequent pauses of cursing my computer out for being bad and laggy) whenever i went through the tutorial world in this mod, it wasn't the one i ended on, cuz i didn't play on the ps4, but i still felt the nostalgia there
Am glad this gave you that feeling again, and I mention at the end of this video to use sodium with this because yeah, it sucked.
@@cubedimensions well, i did actually manage to make it work with Optifine, i just had to boot it without the Legacy mod, change what i needed to, then restart with the legacy mod
they really should've just made the console editions cross compatible keeping the ui as is instead of changing the entire ui to fit every device
console edition is just better in terms of ui if you're a new player (or maybe that's just nostalgia speaking)
Bedrock edition is still technically over 10 years old, shame they messed it up and it's even written in C++
This is nostalgic, the graphics are so memorable
Something I truly miss from the PS4 Version (idk if all legacys had these) are the minigames...
genuinely the most puzzling things to come out of bedrock were the slow ass menus and superflat being uncustomizable
Also, for anyone who does not own Java or PC Bedrock, the game is 50% off as part of their 15th anniversary celebration! Go get it!
I spent countless hours on the Wii U version, and I loved every second of them.
Sure, the new updates on bedrock edition (on the switch) are "nice" but Minecraft almost seemed to be more fun to play in the past. I even changed the default button settings on the switch to the Wii U controls.
Sometimes less truly is more.
i miss 360 edition
with stampys house n what not
the big minecraft text and that box house
I never watched Stampys videos, however he really did seem to entertain and inspire a lot of people
Playstation Legacy addition also had a version of the tutorial world with Stampy's house. However, since Minecraft kept updating, newer versions of the tutorial world didn't have it. Also, console edition had a lot of skin packs, texture packs, and worlds to go with texture packs that you could purchase. However, you could check out these worlds and texture packs for free in a sort of demo mode where the game would only allow you to save without quitting. These worlds were ridiculously filled with structures and theming. Those maps must have taken months to build. All legacy console edition premade maps also have all of the music discs hidden in them. So much content was lost between Legacy and Bedrock.
I'm not a very old mc player. I remember playing some console edition on my ps4 in around 2018-2019. I was terrible at the game and knew basically nothing about it. The game got blocked, I didn't know how to fix it, so i bought a disc for mc bedrock. I lost the rare version forever and couldn't even truly experience it.
This mod should help now!
I wish the minigames would come back. I would love if someone made a world that had the fully functioning minigames and the hub. Making it a server would be evem better.

You can still play Legacy Minecraft if you have a disc of a console version. The game tries to get u to play bedrock but you have the option to play the older version being Legacy Minecraft

Minecraft pocket edition was my childhood, I played it for hours a day I would read all the dev logs. I started playing pocket edition when it first came out. This was my version of Minecraft.
When it became bedrock I was super hyped and it is still my favorite version of the game.
At least when I am playing vanilla Minecraft.
I end this by saying I am sure people love Console edition the way I love Pocket edition. I think people should be able to experience the version of Minecraft they love.
It's super awesome to see this mod making it so it makes some of peoples most favorite aspects of Console more accessible.

Moving to java from xbox 360 was a hard change 😢😢
Anyways guys, as someone who played the original console edition, the mod is good but it makes your game very slow if you have a work pc.
The newer versions of Minecraft are horrible performance-wise in general, I did not use Sodium in this video and you can obviously notice the framerate dip as soon as the game loaded into the tutorial world, when clearly there shouldn't even be any world generation, I might be wrong however but I don't think the default chunk loading goes that far to generate the outer border chunks.
