FUN FACT: if u have a old minecraft disc that still has "Minecraft: (console name) edition" like PS4 edition then it will let u use a older version of minecraft, but it has to be way before the aqautic update

I still remember how pissed I was when they announced that all console versions would be merging with pocket edition

bedrock is still good it just has a lot of bugs. its still playable though, I’ve played it for over 6 years and haven’t seen any of those “gamebreaking” bugs
@@boomblok_ Nah Legacy Console was just built different, so well optimized, so simple, and just nostalgic. Minecraft Bedrock doesn't feel smooth, doesn't look smooth, laggy movement of other players, it's just not as good.
As much as i played bedrock like religiously for somewhere less than 8 years this is sadly true.
This is very nostalgic for a person who didn’t have a console and grew up on Java thank you

i had console, but my dad deleted all my old worlds to clear up space. so i cant relive them like this ;-;
@@tristanlyman Similar story, my mom used to say that I could only have one world on minecraft java to save space. Well, I had a world that was created, maybe in 2015, and I did SO MUCH in it. I deleted it in 2019, partially on accident, partially because I thought to generate a mansion I had to make a new world. But I'm so thankful for me being on java edition specifically, because in 2022, when I was cleaning stuff off of that computer, I checked the backups folder and found one. Turns out, the game updated to version 1.14 the last week I played on it, and it made a backup of the world! Sorry that you didn't have the same luck.

If Legacy 4J was as optimised as Console Edition was then "Bedrock if it was good" would be the perfect description for it!
Me and my little brother when the this new tutorial world came out, We made sure to try and find every mob statue. Years later I think we were missing like 2 but this mod will let us explore again on our pcs, thanks for showcasing this! The nostalgia is crazy

This mod is actually very accurate. The graphics are accurate as well, with the fog and the gamma being to the point. Very cool.

God, as someone who used to play console edition, I miss it so much, and I'm glad there's actually mods for it now! Can't wait to see more if you do plan on making more, and a lets play of the tutorial world? That would be awesome imo!

Oh also something useful, the gamma on old consoles is way higher than Java, so if you turn gamma up to like 90 in the settings it completely sells the legacy console feel.

i love this, i remember playing xbox 360 mc with my dad, the tutorial world was so much fun, i remember hunting for the portal, and all the musics discs. i even remember a faint easter egg "your princess is in another castle" i also remember telling him to punch a wolve with a stick as it will drop tons of loot! ( he got mauled)
Now I want to see some of the pre-built worlds for the texture packs. I loved the LBP and Mario worlds on the PS3 and Wii U version respectively.
If you download specifically the "Re-Console" modpack (which includes Legacy4J as a mod among many other things), it'll include all the older tutorial worlds as well - plus you can change the worldgen back to the "Console Beta" style for normal world generation, which is a feature I absolutely love.
Downloaded the mod right after watching the vid, and have been playing for about 2.5 hours, dont think Ive had that much fun playing MC in a while.

Its literally the most perfect mod ever made. I only wish they added a search for creative, and more mod compatibility with stuff like Cobblemon sophisticated backpacks iron chests. But it has so much quality of life stuff that console had that java doesnt, that it should

broooooo this brings me back to playing with my dad after like 2nd grade school. my mom would walk in on us playing split screen while he built our house and I was out caving. I wish times were still that simple. i think I need this mod for my current online world with my boys right now, currently in highschool. This does have some of the missing aspects, but the majority is there. I wish I could go back to that ps3.

This is a long comment, so I hope you can read it (: . I still play Minecraft ps3 edition over Xbox 1 edition (bedrock), even though I own both I still choose PS3. There are a few good features in bedrock edition such as being able to change FOV, the nether update, shields but other than that ps3 edition still has better features. It’s much more simple, much more fun. The tutorial world and the mini games are just amazing. Also Gareth Coker’s mini game music made me vibe more than most music in the last 5 years. Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but ps3 edition is just amazing. Thanks for reading this, have a good day ❤

remember playing on my ps3 with a friend, i built a emerald house and tried to play it off as it was real, built a working printer on it. so much fun stuff! this is nostalgia

if you go to video settings and go to gamma and turn it al the way up, you can fully experience the console edition
my favorite tutorial world was the TU32 update one, cause i used to play it with my friend and we made the spawn a city and we made our own houses and stuff. good times.

this is minecraft in its PRIME. this is very nostalgic for me. I grew up with xbox 360 edition (the old one) and made a giant mansion with my dad. i would do anything to see that world again

just like you, after your video, i started looking for java mods that make it like legacy, and i gave up when I couldnt find anything, so ironic that this was released lol
you can use brackets to switch tabs in the crafting menu.
Also, crank the gamma all the way up to 85 - 90% and press o in the crafting menu to access craftable items

Playing on java edition, I didn't exactly have a tutorial world there, but I did have Inspiration Island on pocket edition in 2019, and it taught me a lot about the game. Revisiting it on bedrock (please someone make a java port) was really nostalgic.
the best thing about the tutorial world i used to do is somehow learning myself how to duplicate the items in some chests

I remember how in the tutorial world on the actual console you could weirdly bug the chests out if you did not complete the tutorial for them, so you could take the stuff out and then they would respawn inside of the chest :D

i've only ever played the legacy console edition of minecraft when my parnets bought me and my little brother a ps4 slim still I remember it as one of the best editions of minecraft.

I play minecraft most on my ps5, and I sometimes just play the legacy edition because there is so many different things from bedrock to legacy console edition, It genuinely feels like a different game

I REALLY want either a sub mod or a native support for the old minigames. I used to play with my cousin 7 years ago, those were times when I was happy and the world wasn't ruined
This is the best Mod i have ever played and one of the best ever made.(May be a hottake but i can explain) This Mod Combines the Legacy Style aswell as its Mechanics (old crafting recipes and Worldgeneration) and mixes those with the new stuff of minecraft such as Ancient City, Nether Update and so on(they even made new Legacy looking textures for new Blocks and Items). And there is also the fact that you play it on Java and there for having smooth gameplay aswell. Its truly the PERFECT Mix of Legacy and Modern Minecraft. Edit: Its always amazing that the Minecraft Moding Community can create such Work of Art!
I hope in the future this mod actually mods the old Minecraft game modes legacy had like PvP, Spleef, and that one elytra mode that I cant think of the name for

ive recently gotten into emulating and minecraft xbox 360 edition was the first thing i decided to run. my urge to play it on multiplayer has been insatiable and now im in the process of pitching a server running this to my friends over discord lol
I did not grow up playing legacy console because I can't afford a console, but I did watch it and dream about it. Now being able to play it on java just feel comforting
