- If you ever find yourself in Albania, the city of Berat should be one of the places that you give "must-see" status. It is a fantastic mixture of historic wonders and modern pleasures. Everything about it, from the Castle of Berat, which is very much alive, to the iconic buildings that give the city its nicknames, will make you glad to be there.
One of two Unesco World Heritage sites in Albania, Berat is a fascinating destination.

The castle of Berat looks amazing! It seems you're always able to find a local musician to provide interesting background music. The "City of 1,000 windows" looks so interesting. As usual........nice work, we really enjoyed the video.
That castle was amazing and I thought it was so interesting that people lived there and that you could stay there if you want!
I love the street musicians and it's an easy thing to capture. Give them a tip and they will play all day!

How much was the cost of 2 days in berat?
It was very little. My lodging was $44 for the two nights. The bus from Vlorë was less than $10 each way. Food and drinks were very reasonable.
I would say the total cost was right around $100.
Empty city...not many visitors..!!!!
It is a bit more full than it might look in the video. I try not to disturb people when I'm capturing clips.
