    Brad, my 5 mags at CGC have been sitting in "grading, encapsulation, and imaging" for days now and I sent them fast track. They're killing me! I didn't send any monster issues in but a couple I think have a shot at a 9.8 and that 1st Bird subscription I don't predict very high. I've got the 1st ESPN mag with Rickey Williams. If I remember right, that was oversized. Do you happen to know?

      My experience with fast track has unfortunately been that it's not any faster than regular service. And usually the grading/encapsulation/imaging phase takes 2-3 weeks. Once it moves into the "quality control" phase, it will likely be finished in 1 or 2 days.
      Yes, I believe all of the early ESPN mags were oversized and currently too large to be graded by CGC.

      FYI, In December I sent CGC two 10-magazine shipments at the same time - one via Fast Track, one via standard submission. The Fast Track order arrived back four days AFTER the standard order. Go figure.

      @@markpotash7986 I'd be inclined to ask for a refund for the extra I spent for Fast Track in that instance.

      @@markpotash7986 That's brutal! Evidence doesn't get any better than that.

    love the larry bird cover one question for you brad if i find an absolutely beautiful no finger bends awesome gloss modern magazine right from the shelf within the last month or so is it possible to get a 9.8 without pressing

    • @sportsmags
      @sportsmags  Před 29 dny +1

      It could, yes. I'd say 25% chance to get a 9.8 without pressing and a 60% chance to get a 9.8 with pressing, in that situation.

    Like the controversy over Tom Brady's first cover, I own a complete run (and some duplicates) of the raw '96 Olympic Daily's in mint condition. Heard the same story that these were only given out at the Atlanta Olympics. Plus, I picked up a graded '98 Stockton SI CGC 9.6 (none higher) for $51.41, including shipping and taxes, on eBay earlier this year.

    Brad, do you sell more mags on Ebay or Heritage?

    • @sportsmags
      @sportsmags  Před 28 dny

      I really hate selling on eBay because the fees are a joke. But it's highly convenient and gets a lot of eyes so I've sold most there.
      I've only sold 2 issues on Heritage, but they were very professional to work with and both sales did very well.
      I sold once with Goldin and probably never will again.
