- By far the most time consuming part of the project was getting the concrete just right. Mike in his infinite wisdom nails all the measurements and prep work to make the pouring and tiling a breeze. Up next, the actual lift installation!

What a great addition to the OG team! Mike is super talented! Whatever Matt is paying him, he's worth every Penny! Great job Mike!
Mike is just a natural vlogger
This Lift install series has been top notch. Can't say enough about how good this is. Keep up the good work OG bros.
I'm all in for the Mike F. Builder Series shirts.
Mike definitely is a very skilled guy, not that it wasn't obvious in his other appearances in the past. But, his care and craftsmanship in doing this recessed lift project really shines through.
I am now seriously considering the possibility that Mike is a cyborg sent here to teach the rest of us how to be real men! How in thee hell does he know how to do LITERALLY everything!?
More mike videos please. Great stuff and nice change of pace.
Give this man a raise!! how is he so funny and can plug all the stuff in the OG store? He's a legend
Mike needs his own line!! Put my order in for Mikes line of OG buckets!!!
Mikey & Matty, what a Combo!
Mike F for another win baby ! Mike F has elevated the channel to a whole nother level!
Great Job Mike! You do well-making videos!
Carhartt shirts YES PLEASE!
I like how Mike goes back and forth between teacher mode while doing the work, to sarcastic humor while shopping at the big box stores.
Mike can give all the guys on “This Old House” a run for their money. He is unbelievable.
Hello Mike from Australia 😉 What can I say but perfection!!
Yup - these are the best and most entertaining OG vids to date! Love it Mike!
Love the music that's being used. Great fit. Mike's content here is a fantastic add.
Great job Mikes! Once you are done with the lift install and wheelbarrow wheel is coated please let us see that beautiful Lexus interior!
Really enjoy watching mike work do these projects start your own channel
Can't wait to see this finished!
Wow, nice job. Can't wait to see the finished product 🙌
Love having Mike around
My man mike must have some Portuguese blood in him with those concrete skills haha, what a great addition to the team!
great work!!
Good job Norm.
Need to do a Home Depot commercial.
Whatever Mike makes, it ain't enough. Could you imagine Matt doing this? He'd be cussing and spiking the trowel into the wet cement.
I would certainly wear a builder mike edition carhartt OG shirt.
Finally seeing this wheelbarrow in action!
You know your stuff. Love it. Matt 2.0.
I'm all for a working man's OG pocket T-shirt.
You mean Mike's Summer OG Collection 😂
That would be an awesome shirt Mike F
No OG grout buckets?
Mike, a great addition to OG.
Free hand circle cut, just wow
Loved this series, and I’d totally buy carhartt OG shirts that’s almost all I wear,
Damn that was a wet mix! Pool trowel is the way to go! 👍🏻
@5:10 - Yes indeed the LS430 is a sweet ride.
Not gonna lie I think you'd sell a ton of builder series shirts
Hey Mike, really nice job with the floor maybe on Matt’s install consider leaving the tile 3/4 of an inch proud of the floor so when the switch tracks are installed you can’t see the cut edge just a thought you guys have a great Christmas!!
Going on with the Builder Series shirts (which I know was intended as tongue in cheek), we need an OG Builder Series Spec Garage. Because most of us who build things in our shop (welding, etc) are a "hard pass" on plastic floor tile and some of the other choices. But we still like our garages to look good and we still care about having the best products.
Get Mike his own channel.
Matt no matter how much you’re paying mike it’s not enough
I've always wondered this. How do intend to drain water out of the pit if you do any kind of washing on the lift?
You would have to install a drain.
Please. No more 511. Use HMK S34 with oleophobic (oil proof) properties as well as invisible. Great for kitchens and shops!
Why where the two slabs not doweled and epoxied (with something like sika 500)together with some #3’s at the spacing of the bar in the new poor so the two slabs have less of a chance to settle at different rates?
Clean up the mess before the supervisor gets there 😮😮😮 🤣
are you planning on putting expanding foam or something in the pipe for the hydraulic lines? If not i would have left the pipe proud, if Matts going to be washing things in there, that's inviting water to drain down into where the lift is.
No washing will be done in here.
Looks like the wheel barrel held up just fine
How long it take from start to finish to this state? Nice work mate!
About a week
Looks like this was a bigger task if it merited three installments.
Hi Mike.
When are Matt going to detail your truck?
As soon as we finished the Yarn studio.
vibrator and slump test next time please Mike.
Great job as always, dont forget to water the thing after 24 hrs. :P
Why use grout instead of concrete over the PVC pipes?
Finished look
The aggregate in the concrete mix makes it more difficult to fill the small spaces around the pipe. I've always had better luck with grout.
So, as an X-pro myself, I always play the Devils advocate. If you know what the job is going to require you should only need to go to the store once and buy everything otherwise your wasting time and money unless ofcourse you just have time to kill and are waiting for the mortar to harden and need a break? Lol! Otherwise, awesome job.
can we get him shirt that fits! great job tho
I guess I need to stop snacking
No back buttering?
Probably not needed for that small of an area. Normally you would press one into place and then pull it back off to check for thinset coverage, which I would think Mike would do.
I wonder what Mikes salary is!
If that man doesn’t make $150k a year, I’ll hire him! 😅
Car enthusiasts turned salesman who just wants to sell you overpriced pieces.
First, I've been selling stuff my whole life. Second, using the term "overpriced" is for losers.
Yeah, you should leave the concrete work to someone who knows what their doing. smh
No masks in Florida?
No masks anywhere if you are sane.
Ha, ha... I've worn a mask a total of about 10 times. It's complete nonsense.
Even here in liberal Minnesota, there are no masks except for the safety sallies.
And that’s why we’re seeing yet another spike in cases.
@@Patrick94GSR the spike is because of a more contagious variant of covid. I don't think anyone has drastically changed their masking especially in Florida in the last 6 months. So I doubt it's the lack of masks moving up the rate of infection. Here in Colorado I'd say about 20-30 percent are wearing masks in stores.
