2013-2014 Ford F-150 and Raptor SYNC 2 to SYNC 3 Upgrade

Big Raptor upgrade this week for my 2014 - OEM Ford SYNC 3 retrofit to replace the old SYNC 2 system! This is a huge quality of life upgrade and highly recommend overall. While there was one issue I ran into (which is why the video didn’t turn out as short and efficient as I’d have liked) it was easily overcome, and overall I’m super happy with the end result. Been using the system for a while now and it’s absolutely awesome.

Why not take the bracket off the one you removed and install it on the new one?

The metal brackets will only fit if you purchase a flush mount screen and kit and not the recessed mount version. Thanks for watching!

How’s your Bluetooth audio working? All speakers have sound?

I'm seeing an option for the Sycn 4 HD screen, do you know if this is also compatible just with a different resolution and upgraded software?

I'm not aware of one for the 13-14 trucks, Sync 4 retrofits to my knowledge are only for the trucks that came with Sync 3 from factory. It's very similar, just newer and better in the ways you listed. Thanks for watching!

FourSyncTech now does offer a Sync 3 computer paired with the HD display from the Sync 4 systems. So, it is still Sync 3 software, but with a nicer display. I just bought it and will be installing it in my 2014 soon!

Update: I installed it tonight (the Sync 3 with Sync 4 HD screen) and it works like a charm.

@@Refine-life physically, it is pretty much the exact same size as the sync 2 display I had before. It fits great in my 2014’s bezel.

Other than from a company that sells the complete kits, no. You can likely submit the STL file to a company that does contract printing and get them made for less than $50 though. Thanks for watching!

Looks nice/ sharp ,questio my 2013 f 150 radio 4 inch screen took crap 3 months ago I’m trying to find a replacement for it , I came across your video and I was wondering if you willing to sale me the head unit ( if equipped with reverse camera input ) I know I have to buy the modified bezel but it small price to pay to put some music in my truck , so if you have no use for you old radio I will buy it name your price , thank you.🎼🎼

You can via CarPlay. It doesn’t appear to be supported as a native Sync app.
Pandora is, though.
