This would be level of engineering prowess that I would expect to see if Patek Philippe was to get into knife making. Mr. Hawk, you have raised the bar to it’s true & proper noble apex. Your name should become the gold standard in the industry against which all others are judged. And as if this achievement wasn’t a crowning one, in the true spirit of dauntless Yankee ingenuity, the subsequent generations of your superlative knives promise to defy the illusory mandate of irreducible complexity by streamlining this already elegant system even further - delivering equivalent function & improved durability with significantly fewer components. Stunning. A watershed moment in the history of the craft.

Exactly. Peerless, not even close to any competition.
I heard these are $1k to 1.8k, that seems like an absolute steal in my opinion, but then again a grand seiko is also a genius mechanism and can be had for $6k. Difference is their knives are handmade

This knife is worth every penny and is more than just a knife! Words can’t explain but when I first handled mine & deploying and retracting it for the first time, I felt the heart, blood, sweat , tears and workmanship/care & countless hours that went into this knife design/build. The action is absolutely better than I imagined and I was already expecting it to be perfect. The switch/trigger to the action of the blade is absolutely unexplainable. So smooth and precise, smooth and clean break on the switch. Couldn’t stop smiling, it’s therapeutic fidgeting with it. A must have for any knife enthusiast! This is one bada$$ knife , keeper for life. Will open it up one day but too busy enjoying playing with it at the moment.

At first it seemed like it was a complicated mechanism but it's actually a pretty simple design. I like the way you actually put an insert where the screws go for the clip, handle and button plus loc-tite it unlike other manufacturers that just stick a screw into a thin piece of metal or worse, a softer material.

As a machinist, I have a real appreciation for things like this. Saying the mechanism is a work of art would be an insulting understatement. It is truly a thing of beauty beyond words.
The first time I watched the video, my mouth hung, gaped open and I instantaneously wanted one. I have since watched this at least a half-dozen more times and still cannot get over what I'm seeing.
As much as I want one, I'm concerned over issues of legality. Unless there was a configuration that offered a spring "assist" on the open action (or even just enough to release the lock), I may not be able to get one, short of moving to another state.
