- I don't do a ton of unboxings but Hawk sent me one of their super fidgetable box cutters and I had to share. Also I needed content. Desperately. These are made in USA- Hawk Knives makes the Shortcut in their shop in Idaho. As you know legendary Hawk Deadlock Model C OTF appeared in John Wick 4, and they are also responsible for the MUDD, the Orbit (along with Serge), and more.

The mechanism reminds me of my Granpa locking his knees when he over extended getting up to grab his Stanley blade in a hurry. I wish he lived to see this day. Ironically his new knees would have cost the same back then as this box cutter.
Like poetry
😅🤣🤣 _"Ironically his new knees would have cost the same back then as this box cutter!" LMAO!_
I am your greatest fan. Not in the sense that I like you or enjoy your content the most, but in the sense that I am the greatest.
Nice to meet you Mr hot shit!
@@AdvancedKnifeBroyes.
Deadlock is the only EDC knife I ever want in my life. They're built so damn cool in every aspect. I'm jealous you got some.
If you have a deadlock feel free to pry with it. Best advise ever do it DO IT
Sweet. Looking forward to the batoning it’s second only to unboxings.
For whatever absurd amount I'm sure they'll charge for this, needing to carry a tool around to change the blade seems like a misstep. Considering the level of engineering that goes into their other knives not having a unworldly-strong quick change blade mechanism is a vast disappointment. As always, happy to see you giddy over your new finger chopper.
Apparently, you've never had a job that would dull your knife daily. 😅
@@ADREISTER or maybe I have, and know that taking time to replace a boxcutter blade is the most pointless attribute to have, since the whole point is being able to quickly and easily change the blade. But then again, we know this knife isn't meant for people who would actually dull it in a day, don't we?
@@arrowheadguys7637 fair enough.
Bro.. it take 0.5 seconds to change
@@thecarproconnoisseur5412 hyperbole doesn't help your argument
I have to say, this was the most bizarre video you’ve ever uploaded. It was like watching you do an impression of a Metal Complex unboxing 😂
I’m not complaining,I’m here for the weird. Do Pete next 🥸
I've never heard this dudes normal, non-sarcastic, non-dry-wit voice. Amazing.
My impression of a table top bro.
@@AdvancedKnifeBro🤘
I love your infectious excitement at getting this new Hawk, which exudes strongly on this video. It includes unboxing and box destruction too. It's a fantastic knife and it looks so cool. And practice makes perfect on the flipping. ❤
Good afternoon Mr. Knife Bro, the box said PUSH with an arrow --> pointing to where. If you had done so, I am confident that you would not have been forced to use another knife to pry OH YOU FIGURED IT OUT NEVER MIND SIR HAVE A GOOD DAY
I AM HAPPY TO REPORT I FIGURED IT OUT. I’m not trying to toot my own horn but there’s genuine character development in this video. The bro that started out is not the bro that ended up.
@@AdvancedKnifeBroThe bro advanced!! 😂
My favorite design element of Hawk knives is their spring loaded clip. You know what else is impressive? That long awaited meatloaf review you promised us so many years ago…
No one is prepared for a 400 dollar box cutter.
but can it baton?
Yes; if you baton like a soft lady.
@@nicksweeney5176 oh good, i baton like a virgin cheerleader..if there were such a thing
Man, i picked up two in the first drop. A little disappointed they didn't come with the fancy packaging. Simultaneously relieved to watch another knife knerd knearly lose a finger tip awkwardly learning how to flip it closed. Haha. Love the channel. Keep em comin.
Damn that is wickedly cool but I laughed when I went to the site and saw the $400+ price tag with a limit of 2. If I had won the lotto I could see dropping almost 1k on 2 box opener but as an average working pesant, I'll stick to the free slide box opener I can get at work till I save up a whole weeks salary for something this cool.
That little “yeaaaah” when you activated the mudd was hilarious
Nice, surprise box!
Day 1 of mustard sandwiches and gas station coffee to save the scratch to purchase this masterpiece.
In all honesty, that is some dope ass kit you got there.
...grrr, ok fine. i just wanted to say "save the scratch" in a sentence and this is the only place i could get away with it.
What kind of mustard. I saw this funny poupon video someone shared with me the other day. Let’s just say it had a funny premise!!
@@AdvancedKnifeBro literally "French's Spicy Brown" mustard. The poupon jokes almost, but not quite, write themselves. 😉
If I knew how to share videos I’d link it!
Most beautiful utility blade knife I've ever seen but I don't want to cry when something snags it out of the edge of my pocket at work and teleports the 500$ knife into another dimension where it can never be found.
That has to be one of the coolest exchange-a-blade knives out there!
Thanks for the video!
May this beautiful cutter aid you in unpacking beer, which one day hopefully results in a beer review
That's awesome! I've never seen knives with a built in roach clip. Brilliant!
Didn’t want to say in case of eff bee eye
@@AdvancedKnifeBro It's ok. They're too busy trying to look up Biden's political opponents to worry about roach clips.
Have to be the best looking knife designs that I have ever seen, and that logo OMG!! Please lord make me rich 😂😂😂
Very cool! Love my Shortcut, great evolution of the folding utility blade.
Totally agree!
i need a shortcut in my life.
Confucius say: "Life with short cuts makes a life cut short."
Boudica say: "Short cuts make broken bones."
“I like to be part of the problem.” 😂😂😂
Really really dig that one.
Initial thought was that it looks great! then I realized you need a tool to change the blade like an old fashioned Stanley knife! Surely someone could've improved that aspect.
I love M390 jokes!
I actually had alot of fun watching you have fun with this. This is totally the type of enthusiasm I get from a new knife
Once you pop, you can't stop. Babysitter told me that once.
I can't believe what I just saw with my own eyes!
Great budget choice. I'm sticking with my byrd.
This is pretty cool! I think one reason is that I wouldn't be afraid of messing up the blade, so I would be willing to carry the knife more often.
Let’s be honest, the T9 tool needed to take out a utility blade that normally takes 3 seconds…serated blade…clunky closing mechanism..
OOS has entered the chat.
The old "lets be honest" straight talk with disputable points. I love the internet.
450 for utility knife 😂
@@Hoosierdaddyjones812 it's called art something you might find out if you splurged a bit and bought the 25$ Milwaukee razer rather than the 10$ husky
@billybob-gb6ol 🤣🤣 cry more because you wasted your 450 bucks sucker!
That is one cool logo
Awesome video. That thing looks amazing and now I want one too
You lucky bastard!!!! That’s one of my grails you got there sir!!!! Congratulations
I was already prepared just missed the last drop. I'm ready for this one!
Badass mark! Awesome 😎
More like overbuilt awesomeness.
Love it, and I'm looking forward to the feeling of disappointment I get when it drops, whether it's from missing the drop or paying $400 for a box cutter 🤷
$500
@-velius doesn't matter I missed it in 13 mins or less 😂
@@jaredappleseed7037 saw the e-mail like 4 minutes after, their web page was pretty jammed up, had to enter my info on the checkout page twice cause of some error where I had to reload the page, but I didn’t miss it 😭
You totally timed this video to release with the new shortcut drop email. I was already gonna buy one and now ill cry if i miss it😂 curse you
My Shortcut came in from the first online drop like 6 months ago, and I have been carrying it every day at work since! It works great. I’ve changed blades, but found I may go back to the serrated eventually because it’s very effective.
It’s such a fun knife
Clearly this would make the "Knives that make me happy" list.
proceeds to immediately cover money shot lol
I’m torn on this one. On one hand, I love Hawk products and I think this is a clever little tool. But on the other hand I just do not understand expensive/high end Stanley knives nor people who buy them. It’s sort of like if someone came out with a really expensive custom pipe snake/toilet auger.
If this was at a 100$, I'd maybe go for it, but I could get many other knives for that price tag
Have you tried the Medford Knives custom toilet auger? You can really baton the shxt out of a toilet with that thing!
A $1200 box cutter should be cool. And it is.
I’ve got good news for ya buddy. It’ll set you back a mere $475 if you are quick enough on wednesdays drop.
I got some of those serrated blades a few months ago and they are really good. I use them in my little Aerocrafted and RUK.
Any idea what brand they are or where I can buy them? The serrated blades Hawk includes with the knife.
@@EldenLord84 I responded to your other post. I don't know what Hawk uses but the ones I've been using are Rapid Edge RT00004.
I need this actually
Way to be part of the problem! And the taking of my money. I guess problems plural really…
Live it! Sweet work mark. FYI I may jump you for you hoodie…😮
Live ASMR box cutting! Oh yea 😊
Looks dope
Masterpiece lineup 🙌 I may have to get me a Shortcut.
God tier craft knife.
"What's in the box", my favorite movie question ever. Favorite movie song, "Scotty doesn't know".
What better pocket clip is there than a clothes pin?
very cool knife! anyway, I'm *more* than happy and satisfied with my Tirant Razor V3. More. you should give it a fair try too bro! 😅
love every video. please keep up the great work. i'm too poor for patreon, but i watch every video until the end my friend!
You're the best!
Hope to grab one this week... But living in the mountain state definitely has some perks.. But the Internet isn't one!! Lol I've literally never gotten lucky on a drop But hey l am using an s23ultra and will be sitting by my router so
The sun shines on a dog's ass every now and then 😂
If I'm selected as a member of the new "Alien" crew, I definitely will carry this one with a laser blade and two built-in blue lights on the side. It could be used for surgery such as removing an alien from a contaminated body or simply used as a backup weapon.
Really nice. Makes me miss my v2 Chavez c.h.u.b.
Yes, it is really cool looking. Thing is, that mechanism, if slicing, would get really dirty and impede slicing.
It is a cool mechanism, and the knife itself is sweet. Nice eollectible.
The same thing can be said about most standard box cutters which nearly all have a big bump or mechanism to hold the blade. All of my non fancy box cutters have something.
@@AdvancedKnifeBro True! However, that is why I don’t carry a box cutter with the possible use of slicing meat!
Appreciate the lightsaber sound effects while cutting cardboard
Schaweet, impressive collection of Hawk knives.
Very interesting on the packaging it came in. the one I got from the first drop was just in a cloth bag wrapped in paper. no torx tool or extra blades or fancy case. Kind of peeved about it because I paid the same price.
Watching you pry this out of a box which a steel blade while obliviously ignoring the CLEAREST instructions I’ve ever seen drove me completely fucking insane 😅😅😅
👍. My night made. 😍.
You are so kind
I think I was one of the lucky ones who got the drop today. if so, I’m super excited for my birthday gift
Oh yeah!!! Awesome man!
showed up on Monday. I still suck at the opening and the closing parts but I can cut the shit outta some cardboard
Hey, this wasn’t the usual knife bro. I don’t think this was the advanced knife bro, just the regular knife bro.
Hoodies are cool, but sweat pants would have been cooler.
Looking forward to the IG pics where you’ve replaced the blade with a Rusty old DeWalt razor.
My blades already spotting after using it in the kitchen- might not have to change it!
🥁 Push it… 🥁 Pop it… 🥁 Drop it… 🥁 Pull it… 🥁 Cut it…
You could fidget your finger open pretty easily closing that bitch. It’s cool though. I almost bought one. It’s the first Hawk I could afford but still would have been my most expensive knife and a box cutter at heart.
I hate unboxing videos but you do a good job and I always watch your videos.👊
This was a very special occasion.
Neat
"Pop and cut ur finger off "😂😂😂
Looks really neat. Practical and figety. You don't have to sarcrifice box cutting performance when you are in the knife hobby, now you can buy an expensive box cutter!
Neato
Wow you were so excited!! I am assuming that box cutter had unicorn horn scales or a dragon bone core...I have an overwhelming urge to cut dry wall....over whelming.
Very very cool
I like it a lot. And I do like a lot you can to the Ape simpson grandpa voice on point
I purchased the WORKPRO razor knife. I like to carry it in shorts pockets, since it's light. It doesn't require a tool to change the blade. It's not lefty friendly and neither is the Hawk. But the Hawk is cooler, Mr. AdvancedKnifeBro.
Pop. Lock. And drop it! 🎶
Good job Bro! I'm fairly sure Wranglerstar would have cut himself/herself...
One day I hope I have to upload a video where I talk about the videos I deleted because rolling stone did an article about things I said. That way I’ll know I made it.
That's cool but... A knife is a tool, and the use case for a tool with disposable utility blades favors being able to swap those blades out without using another tool.
But for fidgety finger fuxxerupper, looks awesome!
That’s it!! Hawk Snuggy must be acquired. I can sit and watch sex and the city in my Hawk Snuggy deploying my Deadlock again and again. That would be so hardcore 😎
Yes!!!!
@@AdvancedKnifeBro you know if Hawk actually made a meme/snuggy like that as a joke they would sell all of them! 😅
If you think about it the pocket clip is just a titanium clothespin, so you can use your knife to hang your clothes up to dry on a line for an emergency tactical air dry.
You had one job. PUSH
When a box cutter man and a knife guy adopt a son
Man, I know that I’d slice the crap out of myself at some point with the way this one closes.
I just robbed the rich dude down the road, provoked by advanced knife bro 😂🤙
This knife lock has something, not sure exactly what, in common with a CRK Ti-Lock, i.e. the way that “button bar” slides along a track while deploying or closing… Am not sure how much it adds to function, but it sure looks cool!
Guess who designed that lock??
@@AdvancedKnifeBroDem Hark niff doods
I usually don't like utility knifes that much but this ones pretty cool. Is that blade standard length etc? I've never seen serrated but is this useable with any old blade?
Just a regular razor blade
Not something I'd buy, though it does look awesomely designed and machined. The sound effects almost convinced me though.
Bro this guy is funny asf
Well that's spiffy.
But, can you baton with it? Sweet box cutter, for sure.
Looks like they are going after serge . Looks like that aesthetic
The hawks and serge have been long time collaborators… so I think their work informs one another.
I do like it. but it looks to me that Hawk didn't have contractors in mind. When designing this utting off I use a utility knife every single day of my life I install garage doors and unpackaging things is an all-day progress but when you pull out your knife it definitely needs to be opened by one hand which that is opens fine opens great The issues I have is closing it You need to be able to close it quick put it in your pocket quickly jerk it out pop it out close it quick safely and another thing is is having to have an Allen wrench handy to change out the blade You're not going to have your carrying case out in the truck or on the job site it's probably in a drawer at home somewhere So now when your blade breaks or you break the tip off your blade you're in the truck digging for an Allen wrench and that's the biggest issue I have with it so the got to come up with the easy snap easy release for that blade for it to be logical for a contractor to have and contractors are always looking for a small bladed handle that can easily fit in their pocket and most of these utility knives are large heavy bulky and don't really want to keep it in your pocket all the time So this style would sell really well especially for your higher up contractors You're fancy your contractors cuz I'm pretty for sure hulk has a pretty large dollar amount for this utility knife now I haven't looked up the prices yet so I don't really know. But yeah there's a contractor's point of view definitely need some kind of easy release to slide that blade out and put a replaceable blade in its place because the person you're going to be selling it to obviously uses razors a lot if you're cutting sheetrock or if you cutting cardboard especially if you cutting cardboard you'd be surprised how cardboard will dull a knife blade a razor blade in generally it dulls them up fairly fast so within two or three days of hard work you're changing that blade out probably two to six times in a week so that means you got to pull that blade out and get on with your job you know you don't want to have to go hunt something down to go cut something you know because you blade snap and blades do snap tips do break off and they get dull So just a thought in mind would love to see this knife will purchase one myself if it comes with a design that allows you to pull the blade out without having another tool
All right garage door man out
I appreciate your comment. And you're correct, this wasn't designed for a contractor or tradesmen. This wouldn't be a good choice for that. This was designed as an edc knife for guys that carry high end knives, but are afraid to use them. I've seen many guys carry a $500 knife, but they won't use it!! Mainly because they're afraid of damaging the blade.
