But I have found out that by paying attention to the ladies at church, I already knew some of recipes. I paid attention😮😮. I’m now 65. Never married no children. But I always cooked Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas dinner for the ones from church who were like family to me. I cooked for at least 15 to 20 people. They brought side dishes or a ham, I always fixed a turkey. And all the trimmings. This is a long comment, I just wanted to thank you. I love how God brings people together.
Brenda, I don’t know how many people just make gravy to put over bread, but I love it like that. I love the instructions you have given us for gravy, it really helps. I never knew how to put the ingredients together. I love the way my ingredients come together now. So Good! Thank you!!! ❤😂🎉
When my children were young, I always would make my gravy with a small amount of milk and the rest water. I used the milk to satisfy my husband’s desire for “milk gravy” like his mother made. I used water to save the milk for my children to drink😀😀.
We eat gf on the Trim Healthy Mama plan. Have you tried arrowroot powder as a thickener? It works much like cornstarch. It’s tasteless. The gravy is delicious over gf toast ,scrambled eggs and sausage!
Unlike all purpose flour, self rising flour has baking powder and salt added. The baking powder is an additional thickening ingredient and the salt adds flavor.
