Brenda I'm 70 and I've always really liked Mac and cheese. I've never used a box of Mac and cheese. I've always made mine fresh. Now I guess I made mine the old fashioned way. I cooked my macaroni then drained the water off and added my cheese and after the cheese melted I'd add my milk salt and pepper keep it in low stirring it the whole time so it didn't stick and burn on the bottom. My kids and husband just loved it. When my kids were growing up they didn't know what instant or frozen TV dinners were. The only cereal they got was Oatmeal . Now every night in the winter I fix them a small bowl of warm oatmeal. And tell them it keeps the warm all night. Now my one daughter ate her a bowl until she was in her middle 40's Have a good day God bless you

I use different cheeses in my Mac/cheese. Sharp and mild cheddar, Monterey Jack, pepper jack, and velveeta, and sometimes Cracker Barrel. I don’t use eggs or make a roue. I use carnation milk. It’s creamy and delicious. Thanks for sharing your recipe Ms. Brenda.
I make my macaroni and cheese with several cheeses. I use sharp cheddar, monterrey jack, muenster and velvetta. I use heavy cream and a couple of eggs. Sometimes I top it with a bread crumb topping. I use shell macaroni because I think the cheese sauce gets inside the shells better than the elbows.

I'm loving ❤ your videos but I must tell you that my husband fact checked leaving butter out of the refrigerator and was alarmed that it only lasts a few days if left out. I went and looked at her channel and tried to find another channel and I'm not finding it now but there was some fake ones and perhaps I got this one mixed up with another one but one thing to know is that I certainly wouldn't do that on purpose so try to chill a bit if you would lol I would never try to discourage somebody away from Brenda's real channel.. I know how you love onions so I'm sending you this very simple recipe for Cheesy Bacon Onion Rings. They're so good! Put shredded cheddar cheese in each cup of a well greased donut pan. Lay one ring of a sliced onion on top of the cheese in each cup. Sprinkle with chopped cooked bacon. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. That's it! Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. My daddy and older brother live in Red Level Hugo "Butch" Zacchini and Anthony Zacchini..Well daddy passed on last July and I've been missing him something crazy, I'm in Virginia. Lay a wooden spoon or anything wooden over the top of your pot it will keep it from boiling over. I don't put cream cheese in mine and I use velveeta cheese and shredded cheddar cheese and put it in a baking pan and sprinkle bread crumbs with some melted butter on top and bake it in the oven untill it gets bubbly and lightly browned on top it's good

I’ve never heard of them before, so they must not grow well in my area. I appreciate your videos. My mother used a block of sharp cheddar that she shredded. Add that to drained macaroni. Added milk and a beaten egg. Simmer than put into a 9X13 top with more cheese and baked til bubbly. Everybody loved it. I just might try your way.
At the 10:20 mark, something happens to your audio. Can hardly hear you. Audio comes back at 10:54. My Mom used to experiment with her mac and cheese and sometimes add a small can of V8. It was good 😊. Momma baked hers too.
I make mine like your mom did except I put mild cheddar and mixed cheddar and sharp cheddar I don’t put any egg in it but I do put milk and butter then I put Colby cheese on top then back it in the oven

I also sometimes use cottage cheese in mine. Along with the velveta cheese butter. Cream cheese shredded cheese. I'm an absolute cheese freak and then when it's all set and done it makes it to a bowl. I add Parmesan cheese.❤

one of my daughters has always hated mac n cheese, but my other 5 kids loved it. I have always used Velveeta in it but I do add other cheeses , egg milk cream cheese and a can of cheddar cheese soup and bake it like your mother did

Miss Brenda the best way to cook pasta is salt your water. Bring water to a boil. Pour in your pasta bring water back to a boil. Turn off the burner put the lid on the pot for maybe 8 to 10 minutes. That is the best way to do pasta.

Homemade is the best. Most people buy boxed because real cheese is very expensive.🤔☝️elbow macaroni,sharp chedder, diced tomatoes, butter, milk, salt& pepper. That looks good , but I loved the way Mama Made it. She layer her noodles and cubed her cheese then she put a mixture of eggs and milk beat together and put that over th layers. That the way I remember it. Old fashion way. This new way is different. What you are making to me is the new way. It is good but I love the old fashion way.

I was the same way about cheese when I was a kid. I hated it. I lost a bet to my sister in law and I had to eat a grill cheese sandwich. I lost. I was sick thinking about eating it. Once I bit into it I was thinking to myself I lost but I won today. I’ve been eating cheese every since.
On the Italian cooking show I have watched she said as long as you have plenty of water you did not have to worry about the noodles stinking together. They did not like to do it so the sauce would stick to the noodles better. They did not beleive in putting oil in the water. So I quit using oil after I saw that program.

My gram cooked flour and butter and then added cheese and milk and poured it over noodles. To bake she added crackers or crushed chips to top.

A little dab of oil keeps the pasta from foaming up and boiling over. It works for anything that can foam up and boil over.

At the 10:20 mark, something happens to your audio. Can hardly hear you. Audio comes back at 10:54. My Mom used to experiment with her mac and cheese and sometimes add a small can of V8. It was good 😊. Momma baked hers too.

I make mine like your mom did except I put mild cheddar and mixed cheddar and sharp cheddar I don’t put any egg in it but I do put milk and butter then I put Colby cheese on top then back it in the oven

I love Mac & cheese. My favorite comfort food. I am trying it your way Brenda, so much easier then making the run, grating the different cheeses ( usually cheddar, Colby, parmesan, and swiss). After all, isn't comfort food suppose to be qui k & easy? Love ya ❤

I also sometimes use cottage cheese in mine. Along with the velveta cheese butter.
Cream cheese shredded cheese. I'm an absolute cheese freak and then when it's all set and done it makes it to a bowl. I add Parmesan cheese.❤

The macroni looks delicious
one of my daughters has always hated mac n cheese, but my other 5 kids loved it. I have always used Velveeta in it but I do add other cheeses , egg milk cream cheese and a can of cheddar cheese soup and bake it like your mother did

Miss Brenda the best way to cook pasta is salt your water. Bring water to a boil. Pour in your pasta bring water back to a boil. Turn off the burner put the lid on the pot for maybe 8 to 10 minutes. That is the best way to do pasta.
My family loves macaroni and cheese. We like to chop onion up in ours.😋

Homemade is the best. Most people buy boxed because real cheese is very expensive.🤔☝️elbow macaroni,sharp chedder, diced tomatoes, butter, milk, salt& pepper. Bake until top layer is crispy.😋mine was never a winner.Everyone I knew used condensed milk instead. I like my homemade best.#"To each their own." It's all good.&bless you to💖👍😎
You can also put a wooden spoon across your pot so it won’t boil over. The handle breaks down the heat at the top 😊👍

Made it. She layer her noodles and cubed her cheese then she put a mixture of eggs and milk beat together and put that over th layers. That the way I remember it. Old fashion way. This new way is different. What you are making to me is the new way. It is good but I love the old fashion way.
I put a little bit of cooking oil in the water that I cook my pasta in so, it does not boil over while it is cooking.

I was the same way about cheese when I was a kid. I hated it. I lost a bet to my sister in law and I had to eat a grill cheese sandwich. I lost. I was sick thinking about eating it. Once I bit into it I was thinking to myself I lost but I won today. I’ve been eating cheese every since.

On the Italian cooking show I have watched she said as long as you have plenty of water you did not have to worry about the noodles stinking together. They did not like to do it so the sauce would stick to the noodles better. They did not beleive in putting oil in the water. So I quit using oil after I saw that program.
