    As always, thank you for your great video! My simple solution to cleaning auto class is a mixture of about 25% rubbing alcohol to water, then use a clean soft cloth to dry and polish up. It does a great job for me.

    I'd love to see a dedicated tyre cleaner comparison. They definitely do more than an APC with the almost immediate reaction to tyre bloom, scrubbing the tyres can be absolutely ball busting when they they've been in the sun for years.

    The one window cleaner you don’t review is Sprayway! I buy good quality car products but I just don’t understand spending excessive money on class cleaners. I have tried some of the expensive stuff and I can honestly say Sprayway out performs or is equal too all of them at a very low price point. Plus is is readily available in most stores…My two cents..

    Despite exploring the proprietary car brands, I have found that Jangro Glass and Mirror cleaner, works well for me, it is vinegar based so kicks up for a little bit, but total clean of the screen is, wire wool, BH shampoo, Jangro, Shampoo, rinse, then dry.

    I don't think there's such a thing as a bad detailing product these days as there is so much competition all the brands have to be on their game, as a detailing enthusiast for many years I just go with what I enjoy using the most. Constantly trying to find the best product can work out incredibly expensive.

    I still stand by the fact Stardrops Original All Round Cleaner (concentrate one, orange, but not citrus-based) is one of the best APCs on the market, about £1 for 750ML in high street stores, though seen as low as 79p, and it cleans exceptionally well yet still safe enough to even wash your hands with (I wouldn't do that with G101!). Would love to see it in a test, especially against detailing specific ones to see how it compares.

    This is the sort of testing I really enjoy watching. Group testing, knock -out testing would be fun also. Great to see practical notes like dodgy sprayer heads can really effect your enjoyment/user experience, leaking products, and sprayers that don't atomise well really does my head in, I'm glad you covered that as it has to be mentioned- #1 gripe. I've been waiting for this video to come out. I use carpro clarify, which does everything well and like Jon, I'm a detailing brand snob and I'm OK with that. The only thing that could be tweeked is the smell- ripe banana appeals to a small number of people, I think a blueberry or a cool fresh smell would work better as the colour blue and glass are synonymous and would fit better with the brand..

    Few comments here Jon, as I know you've been working hard on this set of videos:
    1. You mentioned Stoners just doesn't "feel" like a professional detailing product. I agree with you. That said, it's so cheap for us here across the pond, if you look closely, you almost always see it in somebody's collection regardless of all the brands they like.
    2. Regarding the P&S, again, I think this is another across the pond issue. A lot of us that like P&S products, buy in bulk, so their crappy bottles are irrelevant. The price for P&S here is probably similar to what you see on Bilt Hamber stuff if not better. It's ridiculously cheap for a professional detail lineup, but the stuff just works.
    3. I have a handful of Koch products myself, so it was no surprise to see it perform so well. We pay a premium over here for their stuff, but for the enthusiast their products simply perform. Like you know if you buy something Koch, it's going to do what it says on the bottle without hassle. Definitely too expensive on most things for professional detailers running a business, but man, at home they are great.
    4. Super Clean or we riot for sure.

    • @ForensicDetailing

      yer P&S was a good one, but it simply didnt get picked because of the trigger. which I think highlights that you need to put good triggers on it. beadmaker has good trigger, they could just use that trigger.

    Please could you try my own blend Jon, just to compare.
    30% the cheapest pure white vinegar you can buy so it has no perfume or anything else in (I buy mine from B&M for 79p for 750ml), mixed with 70% distilled water (deionised water), which I can get for about £3 for 5 litres.
    A typical sprayer bottle full stands me at about 50p.
    At that concentration, there is no smell, and so long as you have a fine mist hand trigger, it is as good as anything else.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 2 lety +1

      I would tweak that. I would go 25% IPA, 5% vinegar, 1% surfex HD rest water. you do need surfactant and solvent i think nik.

      @@ForensicDetailing Yes Jon, that would make it better, but also a lot more expensive matey.
      For the money, my blend is the cheapest but most effective for the price I think :-)

    All these cleaners did for me was leave a chemical film on the glass. Using chemical free distilled water works better for me. Leaves no smell or chemical residue.

    Can someone help me please. It's driving me mad. I have changed my wiper blades 3 times, tried different brands each time, I have changed the wiper arm and still I get a spider web effect on the down stroke of the driver's wiper blade. I have tried vinegar, I have tried loads of glass cleaner, I have tried glass polish, I have tried turps, I've tried claybaring,. In fact I've tried just about everything to stop this annoying smearing from taking place. The only step I've not done is replace the windscreen. Can anyone suggest what the hell is causing it please. When I've given the glass a good clean it's ok for about the first 4 or 5 wipes then it's back again.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 2 lety +2

      spiders web effect or like tiny thin lines like leopards skin. Thats usually a glass sealant where its starting to fail. Smearing is simply residues and grease/water/surfactant making a smear.
      Get Glaco compound to properly clean the glass and use Glaco ultra sealant and you should be good clean the wipe blades are well.
