    Thanks for your personal candid review of not only the Angel Wax products, but all the various reviews you do. In my opinion, you are without a doubt THE BEST product reviewer and advice giver related to vehicle detailing on the entire internet! I know that is a BOLD claim to some people, but again, in MY opinion and to me, you are THE BEST reviewer! Your reviews are not only honest, but they are truly helpful and useful. I am not a detailer. I am just a weekend, home enthusiast trying to keep my vehicles in the best possible condition using the most effective products. To me, vehicle detailing is my relaxation. Thanks again for all your insight into the various products. After your review of the Angel Wax products, I will definitely be purchasing several of the products you recommend in this video. I don't mind spending the money for QUALITY, and more importantly, AN EFFECTIVE product.

    As you stated a PH of 7 is bang neutral- the scale is from 0 to 14, zero to 6 is acidic, 7 is natural ( close to our skin, Hence Dove soap is very very gentle on your skin) & 8 through to 14 is Alkaline- zero will be a extremely strong Acid becoming less acidic as the number rises,8 through to 14 the more Alkaline it becomes, 7 is natural & completely safe on our skin.....for the one person from 19,000 that didn't know this, another well explained & easy to follow upload 👌

    Thankyou very much for introducing me the the angelwax products..I'm just a weekend basher who likes cleaning my car and have tried many products over the years..angelwax is by far the easiest product to use out there! The vision and h2go are awesome! And the 5th element has a gloss yo die for!..I also took your advice on ragmaster clothes and now won't buy from anywhere else!....the joy with this product is they all work together so you can play about till you find what works best for you...I've got a lwb van to clean and wax..the sample wax pot did the whole van with enough left to do the van another 2 3 times...angelwax really deserves bugging up.carry on the good work and thankyou very much for helping me along the way.

    I like Angelwax products.
    Their shampoo is really good, the glass cleaner is ace and I love their QD. I’ve tried drift wax and dark Angel but I found them a bit of a pain in warmer weather where they seem very soft and a tad greasy. Together were a harder wax to apply than Dodo Juice Supernatural.

    Angelwax excelsior is great too. It’s a soft top and fabric roof cleaner. I used autoglym before , but the excelsior is next level. You brush it in and it foams up a lot even using it sparingly. It then seems to go into the fabric, then when you rinse with your hose the foam comes back up bring all the deeper muck out. You can see how deep it goes as it takes quite a bit of rinsing. Best cleaner I’ve used on my mohair roof👍
    I top it off with the angelwax shield.
    As usual a very informative and in depth video John👍

As a novice home detailer your reviews and advice have helped me recently find some great products and tips on using them, thank you for your help. Hi Jon, another great video! Appreciate the time you put into these. Quick question on the sno foam; on the bilt hamber review you liked the way it fall off the car and this one you mentioned that you liked the foam staying on the car. I'm in the hot climate of Phoenix, AZ USA and have summer temps 9 months of the year - should I stick with one that slips off rather than stays on the car? Looking forward to the sno-foam "best-of" video you hinted at in the past. :)

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 7 lety +2

      you have to go on a product by product basis.. just because it slips off fast would not be the defining feature, how well it cleans generally is the key thing and then price :)
      I still find the BH one to have more potency when it comes to road film.. but the funny thing is I found their pre foaming wash really cool on film as well.. So at the moment Im continuing to play around with the fast foam and cleanliness to learn more... We are splitting atoms a little bit in terms of "best" with these foams.. theres some awefull ones out there and lots of cool ones.. If I had to be pushed Id say I prefer the BH foam over the fast foam.. But I love the angelwax foaming pre wash and that doesnt need high dwell times...

    • @ColdSoda1

      Ti-22 is a like a sealant that acts as a primer layer. as a standalone product sealant it isnt that prolific or repellent. but Ive used it a few times as a base layer before topping with one of the angelwax paste waxes.
      corona is a spray wax. I pretty much use this now with angelwax 5th element. ill lay down 5th element and buff it. and then go back over the car with a clean microfiber and corona to get an wax footprints left from 5th element.

      Forensic Detailing Channel that ifo is very helpful. I didn't know that TI-22 was a sort of primer for other coating. I thought it was more of a sealant that would go on top of a wax or sealant. A few after you explained their uses i used TI-22 on all of my trim then applied Corona on top of it. It seems to be holding up/looking pretty good with all of the rain we have had. I have not saw much instructions on Anglewax products, maybe i overlooked them. I have seen some videos that i may misunderstood what they were saying. Thanks for your help

    You call out some glass cleaners as a load of water with some IPA and a bit of soap thrown in vs the Vision product yet your homemade glass cleaner is water, IPA and Surfex so when would you use the homemade vs spending on Vision?

    • @ForensicDetailing

      I think vision is ammonia based, its a lot more powerfull than my homebrew. the reason I dont use it though is it just gets down the back of my throat its too like harsh to breath it in. I just homebrew because it works and its cheap.

    Hello I need this product and I don't know how to get it

  • @mr.lad-detailingtricksntip

    So I purchased the enigma system not too long ago. My honest opinion as a mobile detailer in a humid climate, the products aren't that good. They're very hard to use outside. The enigma wax was very oily and melted very quick. Just very unpleasant to work with. The enigma shampoo and QED was OK. There are just many other products that are better for outside use such as the double black line from PNS or some of the car pro line.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 6 lety

      hi ya, Ive only used the enigma wax but I wouldnt describe it as that oily. sounds like your in america, I wonder if the wax doesnt like the heat. Ive still got some decanted.. gonna go down for a smoke and have a look at it again.. Its been a couple of year since Ive used it.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 6 lety +1

      mine seems fine, not especially oily.. in fact I dont even know if they are using oil as a carrier. Id speak to the angelwax guys million.. But as long as it cures out and buffs and holds up well then I doubt you have a bad pot or brew.. hard to say mate sorry.

    • @mattb1870
      @mattb1870 Před 5 lety +1

      Unfortunately, I have to totally agree with Million Reflections comment regarding enigma wax. I live in U.S. (FL) and I saw your video praising this product and was super excited to finally get a 30mL sample. It took a while to get here but it finally did. I put it on in 80 degree weather in my garage. Mine was definitely more oily than I would have thought. I put it on the car and initially thought it was ok since it spread easily. Then it buffed off easily but left this cloudiness on each panel. I only let sit for a few minutes like directions stated. I tried another panel really thinly and buffed off and still haziness/cloudy. Could not get rid of it no matter what I tried. I continued trying different ways of applying/removing for an hour on other panels with same result. Needless to say I threw in the garbage (not cheap wax either) ........was so excited to use this stuff and it totally disappointed. I don’t think I have ever had such high hopes for a product and been so let down. Maybe the humid climate doesn’t like it but that is no excuse for such a high priced product without a warning. Thanks for the good content on the channel. I will stick with my experience of products from now on.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 5 lety +1

      its cool feedback Matt because I can tell its real. maybe its the heat? some waxes that are used in the blends melt at around 60 deg, some 75-80 deg (celius), sometimes using paste waxes on hot days can give poor results. Ive still got some engima wax and I could shoot a video right now applying it to a car and buffing it with no problems but its cool here. I dont think Ive ever used it on a burning hot day in the UK or really high humidity. Im also a fan of fireball fusion , Ive heard other people say similiar things about smeary application in high temps. who knows maybe its something to do with the ceramic in it as well. generally all the feedback on engima though and fusion from the guys Ive spoken to in the UK has been really good. the biggest problem is simply the price tag. you dont need to spend 180 quid on wax. bilt hamber double speed for 14.99 is an example of why. But still I want to like buy up all the proper ceramic waxes at some point (I think theres 4 now adams do one, engime, fusion and infinity wax from kamakazee, although it wouldnt surprise me if thats the same as fusion)

      @@ForensicDetailing my best guess is the climate over in the UK vs over in FL, USA. for hot days (and in general, actually) I like to use waxes by Poorboy's World. Sun friendly. Not sure how they would do in cooler climates, though

      @ForensicDetailing  Před 7 lety +9

      strictly amateur, no real desire to do this professionalyl, just way too much work for a lazy old donkey like myself. Always loved cars enough to want them to be well maintained. always kept a clean car since I was a young guy and knew how to wash them with a bit of care.. used to help a friend working on project cars and it bugged me when we had got them mechanically sound, to see them covered in scratch damage on the paint so starting splatting them with a rotary.. did a fair amount of machine polishing over the years, that was the area I thought I knew.. realise now I used to do a subpar job, rushed, used the machine brutally.. slowly got more into it by just doing more cars and realising that prep and taking your time and working slow and cold were more important... only discovered the product scene recently I guess with the emergence of FB groups... Was a lack of people online just independently talking about the stuff from a neutral perspective (eg they were not trying to sell you anything).. thought strongly enough about my opinion on it all to start slapping stuff on u tube.. content started off sloppy... its still rough around the edge but just doing more and more of it makes everything improve down to the production through to the accuracy of what your talking about.. so yer the channels getting better slowly but surely... never really expected anyone to watch but just about hung in there enough to the point I could see the channel was growing.. so its a cool hobby for me really and the last year opened all sorts of doors but more important allowed me to get to meet a lot of cool people in the industry...

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 6 lety +1

      short answer is yes my friend. You can choose to go down the budget route and use non detailing glass cleaners (they will work). You can use IPA mixes etc.. I sometimes do little homebrew products for myself and use them... But theres defo a difference between products, even if most are functional. Angelwax vision is powerfull. It stinks , it gets right down your throat and makes you want to gag.. but it really cuts away grease and grime on the windscreen. again I suspect its just way more concentrated or using different chems to most other glass cleaners.. john from angelwax is a cool chemist, so whatever they are using its really strong. still my favorite glass cleaner.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 6 lety

      yo Hakman :) h2go lasts longer than a month. but how long it lasts depends on lots of things.
      how many coats you apply
      how clean the glass is when you apply
      how long you leave to cure before buffing
      what products you use to clean the glass afterwards (and screen wash choice on front windshield)
      whether its front windshield or side glass
      whether car is garaged
      also like any product you see a tail off in how hydrophobic it is as time goes by etc... beads like crazy for a while. but still carries on providing protection. have a watch of the angelwax review video for more info.
      but any product specific questions ping Angelwax, john and matt understand this product inside and out and can give you all the correct info. merry christmas buddy your my number 1 viewer :)

    Easy to say that a pot of angelwax enigma 250ml will last a lifetime; but will the product actually last on the shelf for years?
    Wont the polymers breakdown after a few years?
    Will the UV protection ingredients breakdown on the shelf overtime?
    Will the UV protection last more than a few weeks once applied?
    Seriously what are you getting from angelwax enigma that soft 99 fusso coat isnt giving you for £22?? Bit of extra gloss?
    Is it £158 better? I have my serious doubts.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 7 lety +1

      ist still there working after 3 weeks.. the thing at the moment in the UK. regardless of what you put on your wheels, they are insta dirty after even a short drive. So for me its better to have a dressing which bonds and seals right now over one that just adds unbonded silicon.. So after Ive cleaned the car I dont need to keep reapplying dressings... (although its so quick to apply it wouldnt be a major problem)..
      there are definetly more glossey wet dressings on the market, so if you like those then elixir isnt going to tick your box... but its one of my favorites so far and its a bit different to the others.

      @ForensicDetailing  Před 7 lety +1

      Hey Deje.. you will not be disapointed.. Check out AnGEL. Check out some of their waxes.. Check out the glass range... Check out anything its all cool.
      Cquartz is a ceramic coating.. Enigma is a wax thats heavily infused with an additive thats typically used in a lot of ceramic coatings out there..
      From speaking with John Hogg.. Enigma wax isnt providing a delivery mechanisms from the ceramic within it.. Instead the ceramic is siting in the gaps of the wax molecules.. This is an important thing to understand.. So enigma is not the same as a ceramic coating... Just think of it as a turbo charged wax that you can use as a wax. its really really good...
