  • In this weeks video i show you how you can go about adding all the details and levels of an armor piece/prop by adding multiple layers of foam ontop of a base design.
working from inner core, to most outer layer.
    Enjoy :D

So, what glue do you use to cover large areas when layering? I would guess contact cement but it is so fast drying and prone to getting soaked up by the foam.... would E6000 do as well?

Razzy 18126 I just use contact cement. Not really have a problem with it going fast. The properties of contacting last long even when dried already. If soaked just add a second layer.

Thank you so much! I learned the hard way about having to double layer the coats of cement! Oh WOW does that stink up fast! Opening all the windows even though it's was March? Yup. It's necessary, I made myself so sick. But thank you for replying and making these videos, I'm looking to learning so much more in the future!

Love your videos Wayne! Question: do you use different mm foam for your layers?
    What mm is your foam?

KidGroove main body is 10mm and the detail layers are 5mm. I do have some 3mm and 1mm laying around if some fine detail needs to be done
