Especially in the last few weeks when you're done with your training and hage.nothing else to do. Also the drill sergeants getting bugs in their butts and randomly smoking you and everyone else for no reason.
Then look at operational infantry where they scrub toilets, mow lawns and sweep the motorpool (on top of monotonously doing connex layouts like so many other soldiers) because they have nothing else to do when they aren't sitting in the woods constantly with baby wipes for their butts because you can't wash your ass. All for a job that you never actually do unless we're at war (and even then modern day wars are so much more than foot soldiers infantry, especially the Vietnam jungle training we still do), and a job that has no civilian translation.
      Fuck infantry.

And stalking/harassing and poisoning!!!!! Please don't forget that one! Yes here in Orlando, via the dictation from their guy in st. Petersburg, Fl, we have a massive group of SHEEP ex army vets who choose to blindly follow their "master" in who resides in pinellas area in FL. They are ALL X army vets, and all take dictation/orders like true sheep. Why? With orders followed they have unity. Individually most are peons. Now using this unity against potential enemys as in other countrys: ✔️ its a formidable weapon. But using said unity on pne of your own citizens? Recon on one of your own? 👎 I call bullshit. Operation Par employees said leader of this out fit of outlier x army vets. I guess its EASIER, MORE REWARDING go do recon on a non military, untrained, 50 yr old homeless guy their abusing like a beaten horse, eh? Glad y'all got ur ass kicked in nam!

I was confused when he said "Fort Moore" because the only Infantry School I knew about was Fort Benning. I was there in 1987 at Sand Hill, Echo Company, 7th Battalion, 1st Infantry Training Brigade. I read why they changed the name but to me and my memories, it will always be Fort Benning. Anyways, my most fondest memories was basic training. When I graduated, I felt 10 feet tall.

After being a Combat Medic from 1982-85, I went to Infantry School at Harmony Church in Fort Benning in 1985. It was physically tough, but being prior service the physiological stress was not a concern, just respond to orders, and use your head. Myself and another ex-medic would help the trainees with the basic first aid tasks section of training. I got out in 1991, I never regretted my time in service, and will always be proud of my experience and my comrades.

Not saying a woman's place is in the kitchen but a female don't belong in the infantry. If females had the same physical fitness requirements the males do it might be a different story. But they don't. Just makes me question if they really earned that blue chord

It is okay to be scared and anxious and use it to finish the training, you will be tired, exhausted, hurting and feel like it is never ending and sometimes you might think that it doesn’t make sense anymore but just keep pushing and do what you’re told, the fastest way to finish the OSUT is to graduate, think like a leader and act like a leader but always remember good leaders doesn’t just give out orders and watch, you do it first proficiently and confidently. All the things that you are doing at BCT/OSUT will prepare you when you get to your unit and everything will make sense.

Stay out of trouble, keep your distance from female's because be wary of what you say and do near females or else you will get SHARP'ed/EO'd.
      Mind your own business.
Everything is provided, food, shelter, etc., so therefore it's all easy and that is why remember that you are getting paid to do the right thing and do your job, EASY!.
The only difficulty is the people, yes the job of the training/life but the difficulty the people, some may not like you and you to them, but remember that don't make things personal no matter what, it's all business, be mature about it, be neutral, don't take sides, be NEUTRAL, don't play favoritism, be a good role model as to help other's and don't be a singled out person which of course to be a team player, be understanding and help those that need help and don't make things personal, you are getting paid to do the job which is easy.
Not everyone is your friend, it's all business, so therefore be careful, NOT EVERYONE IS YOUR FRIEND!!!!, everyone joins the military for different reasons. When in doubt, in regret for joining, remember that don't be suicidal, it's not worth it of being suicidal, it's still just another job because you are getting paid...money is involved, even if you don't like it and yes it's the military and not civilian world, it's still a job, you are still getting paid.
You can still quit, just say that you refuse to train, and act upon and be ready for harassment and bullying but you can still get out of basic training if you regret the MOS and don't wanna continue, you will get general discharged.

That's the army in general. It wouldnt be the army without wasting a lot of time and doing things like fucking off in the motorpool not just on "motorpool monday" but tuesday - friday with endless connex layouts. I can imagine that infantry is even worse with not only pointless connex layouts but also scrubbing toilets and mowing lawns for the lower enlisted. Even in the field, you're just sitting there in the woods for weeks wasting time I would imagine the marines are just as bad if not worse (although I've had marines tell me they don't do the motorpool like we do).
I would imagine that the airforce wouldnt do their people like this and that more people in airforce would be doing something more productive like online college

There was a buddy of mine who begged his NCO to allow him to do his online classes after PT because we would just sit at troop till lunch (summer time). Good dude, he has the best PT score and knew his shit. So it’s not like he was going to jerk off for 6 hours.

I actually saw soldiers in the field who had to ride the vans because they were not allowed in LMTV's or Humvees, and they had their legs in braces and using walking sticks to move around. I myself a few weeks later after the field got a bad second degree burn on my arm (92g) and wasn't given quarters then the next day had to be in a mass layout in the goddamned motorpool and I thought that was bad.
I hope your battle buddy was able to to as high a percentage of disability as he could when he was still living.

I don’t understand. Are infantries like Marines?

    • @BlossomField91
      @BlossomField91 Před 2 měsíci

Infantry means ground troops who fight on foot. With rifles, machine guns, etc. Both the Army and Marine Corps have infantry, and no not every Marine is an infantryman. The difference is that, at least in doctrine, all Marine infantry is geared towards amphibious warfare, while the Army have Air Assault (helicopter), Airborne (paratrooper), mechanized, etc infantry. They also have slightly different unit structures. There are more men in a USMC infantry squad than an Army one.
In practice they're about 95% the same and in most wars, they're doing the same shit. Just in a different uniform.
Also in reality, the Army can absolutely do amphibious assaults (they did plenty of it in WW2, most notably Normandy), and the Marines can do air assaults.
