- In this video, we will discuss the best ways to prepare for Infantry School. Initially we go over important terms we use in the Army and the we discuss preparing for Infantry School. Also, I've included an instructional workout video that you can do from anywhere in preparation for 11B training. #army #infantry #basictraining #advancedtraining
Fantastic video, thank you for the information🇺🇸 I ship out tomorrow morning for basic combat training 11X at Fort Moore
Oh wow, this video came out just in time for you lol Best of luck! Infantry School is what you make of it
just don't be sedentary. if you can't run half a mile thats fine. they will work with you.
If you weigh 170 pounds maybe but I weigh 330 pounds I lost 25+ pounds in the last month I do 200 pushups every other day and I do 200 sit-ups every other day and I run up hill at 7 miles per hour but I can't run to far but I'm workin on it but they don't want me I want to serve about 5 years active and maybe guard after but who knows they don't want me
@@Johnson-31.franklin Just lose the rest of the weight and you'll be good. They can't accept you at 330. I'm working on losing a lot of weight too.
Just gotta keep up the grind until you hit the numbers they need.
Impressive that you make these videos completely by yourself!
🙏🏼❤️
Heck yeah! Thank you!

(number one rule for OSUT is “shut the fuck up” that’s what one of the drill sergeants in reception told me and it’s true)

Graduated ft benning from c 2-19 in 03... I've heard a lot has changed. I remember we were out in the field bout 90 percent of the time. The most memorable thing for me was the bayonet. Went to Iraq in 04. Before I went I ran cross country in high school. That's how I prepared
Shipped out July 22 11b for Illinois NG, thanks for the video
I'm trying to join as a junior to 11b illinois also waiting on waiver
@@unhoney5856 good luck
What's up Sergeant Beitz. Passed Meps!! No just gotta finish these damn DUI classes!
Nice!!!!!
As a NG recruiter did you have any experience with EPTS cases? In my case I have ulcerative colitis but it’s controlled. I know i’ll need a waiver for sure but the AD recruiters i’ve talked to said I have basically 0 chance to get back in.
Extremely excited to have my waiver passed soon.
I wanted to ask, is there ANY way I can increase my chances to join the 11th/be stationed in Alaska after Airborne school?
Do you have any information on prior service at duty and prior service reserve class infantry in the National Guard?
ALL HAIL 30TH AG!!
30th AG for the W!
For the AIT portion of OSUT, can you grow your hair a little, or are you still bald?
Currently enlisting for 11x option 40.
What’s the probability of me having to get a TS clearance?
2:58 question: what if multiple candidates maxed out the ACFT (which I assume happens all the time for infantry candidates), would there then be multiple "Iron Soldier" titles awarded?
I hate saying this because I say it a lot, however, it is the absolute truth; every command in the Army does things differently so it'll depend upon the command. One unit might give several Iron Soldier awards if several soldiers max the ACFT, but another unit might say, well, soldiers 1, 2 and 3 all maxed the ACFT so let's look at weapons qualifications to narrow this down...and whoever shot the best combined with their maxed PT score will be who is selected for the Iron Soldier. That's one example I could give out of many.
@@SFCBEITZ thanks for the insight
@@sx99cornell anytime! That was a great question, if you have more, just send them!
Hey sir, I’m about to go through Army infantry training at 37 yo. I’m former Air Force and Navy. Any specific advice on rucking/pace to prep, or is that all built up to in the training?
Smart man, get that retirement. Push to get Ranger School and then on to SFAS or the Regiment. Lets goo!
Oh and I know the name was changed but I'll always call it benning
Hi, I’m a high school junior enlisted with 92A mos and will be shipped out for BCT in 1 week. Now, i want to be an infantry, can i change my mos after BCT?
I made a video on this topic some years ago but it's still very relevant. Below I will link the video. In short, yes, you will be able to change your MOS at some point in the future, but, the Army will want you to be a 92A for awhile before they allow you to change your MOS. They just spent like $100,000 or so to get you proficient in a certain skillset and they want to get their money's worth out of you before they allow you to do something different. On a positive note, having multiple MOS's will be very valuable as your career progresses. So, that 92A MOS will be highly looked upon once you become a 11B...
Can I change my MOS? (video link)

Is there a way to ensure you will get deployed overseas like in Germany or Italy or a country like that when you are signing up. Went to a recruiter and said that was the main thing I wanted to do. Mos would be 11b
You get threw options. However, that does not mean you will get them. It depends on what the current need of the Army is.
^ What he said. They only guarantee you things in your contract. You just have to get lucky on where you go.
Hey can I join the army without a ged and if yes how do I join
You can’t. Get a ged
Teach them how to wear a beret!
How much swimming is done in infantry school? If any?
Fr on my understanding none, unless you want to go SOF(Green berets and/or Rangers)
@@kevinurielfonseca How about during your entire 4 years as an infantryman?
@@BostonsF1nest I don't think so, besides Infantry guys don't get rotated as often as the SOF Soldiers do. They're the ones who do the heavy stuff and shit you see in movies. Most of the time as a 11B you will be doing drills and from time to time you will be rotate but no as often. That's just what I know from some of my coworkers who used to be 11B prior to moving Reserves
@@kevinurielfonseca question: how big are infantry men? Are they large and athletic with large shoulder's and triceps?
No, as a former 11B, infantry is comprised of all shapes and sizes. Most guys are fit. In the Infantry we push everyone to get swole.@@Interactionismhmslaw
Saturated fat is good for you
Fam, go look up saturated fights right now. You want very limited saturated fats in your diet.
@@SFCBEITZ Our species has survived and thrived off of saturated fats like those found in red meat and eggs for thousands of years. They are an integral part of our diets. Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) as found in seed oils (vegetable oil, canola oil, etc.) are extremely unhealthy and are prevalent in fast food. Our bodies need salt, protein, and healthy fats in order to operate at an optimal level. Saying saturated fats are unhealthy because McDonald’s is throws the baby out with the bath water.
