"I don't think of myself as royalty. First and foremost I'm a loyal wife and mother."
The Crown is a masterclass and each season surprise me on the quality. This new season including the tragic story of Charles & Diana was no exception. It exceeded my expectations. I think Diane is a symbol to lots of womens out there and an important person so I am glad I managed to pay a tribute to this women through this fiction.

I remember Princess Diana shaking the hands of AIDS victims in London when no one wanted to touch them. I remember her visiting the little girl maimed by land mines. I remember her walking through the grounds and on both instances I said to my mum "Mum she is so brave". Years later I remember my Mum bursting into my room to say that Princess Diana had passed away.

@@glucosedigest2642 There is no such thing as "educated guess". Guessing is guessing and it can turn out to be very far from the reality.
It's tragic how blind most of the people are and think this movie presents the truth. Very, very dangerous kind of blindness.
Note: those lies are the most dangerous that hold parts of the truth. This movie is a clear example of that.
Diana was manipulative and gave that interview out of sheer revenge. Hence it cannot break my heart. And no, I am not heartless: I've seen it in real life how charismatic and charming people are able to manipulate the public.
Diana's "innocent" look on that interview is actually a look of an aggressor, google it and you will be surprised. Her occasional smirk gives her away too.

Just finished watching the series. Emma's performance as Diana was magnificent. Charles had always been henpecked, sidelined by his family and awkward when it came to winning over the public. Whilst I'm not a fan I believe he should've been allowed to marry Camilla. Or if he was that desperate to have her, renounce his title to marry her as Edward had done. I dont believe he anticipated how well received Diana would be by his family or the public. Here comes this beautiful, charismatic and warm girl who won over everyones hearts and completely stole his thunder. And his inferiority complex couldnt handle it. They were both of two very opposing personality types. Charles desperately tried to win public favour and fell short and Diana did it with ease. He was very formal and reserved she was unconventional and open.I dont doubt she enjoyed the admiration and attention she received. She was unappreciated within her marriage and didnt quite fit in with the rest of the royal family. Her isolation in her personal life drove her to desire acceptance elsewhere. Too warm, sensitive and open and unwillingly to mould herself to fit in with the rigid ideals of the monarchy. Theres only so many excuses he can make for the disolvement of their marriage her mental illnesses, her neediness, the overinvolvement of the public. But Camilla had been present in that marriage before itd have even begun and he was entirely unwilling to accept this new bride who was too much for him to handle.

From what I can tell, there’s 99 ways to not fit in with the royal family and maaaaaayyyyybe 1 way that’s acceptable, lol. Thatcher was nothing like Diana and she couldn’t fit in either, for example. I don’t know how accurate the depiction of the royal family or Elizabeth is, but it almost seems like they feel they were entitled to accept only people who fit into their idea exactly plus had to show that they felt their inferiority compared to such fabulous people as them at the same time. There was just no winning. They never had to change or compromise for anyone else or take anyone else’s opinions or feelings into account. People had to change for them, or they just didn’t count.

Back in the 80s, when my mother and father still lived in England, HRH Diana was in some sort of parade and exchanged hellos with the people. My mother, who was mystified by her, was so excited that she couldn't help but call out to her. Diana heard her, and my mother, who hailed from the Philippines, had the chance to shake her hand. My mother told me that she had very soft hands, had very minimal make-up on (only her blue eyeliner stood out, which she also wears in 4:28), and she smelled so sweet, much like the English rose that she was. My mother was very lucky to have met her in the flesh. The look of awe in my mother's eyes when she retells the story each time leaves me with goosebumps.
When Diana passed, I was eight, already living in a different country, and knew very little about her. My father, an Irishman, was crying while watching the report on the BBC, and my mother was in shock. Since knowing about her years ago, I've always had a fascination with her as such a beautiful, whimsical, and melancholic figure. I hope that she has found peace. She will be missed. The reality is Dodi was a womanizing playboy living off Daddy's money, he was 42 years old when he died and had never worked a day in his life, nor had he ever been married. Dod's father is the one who set them up and if they had married it would have been a Jackie and Onassis type relationship. Diana may would have married him for protection. Though, as we saw he did not do a good job of that, he got both of them killed. He would have married her because his father wanted him to, and he was tied to Daddy's purse strings. They were not in love. Diana did love Hasnat Khan, but he did not want life in a fishbowl which he would have had if he married her. As far as the story of the married man and police involved, yes, I have read it before but just like YOU did, never is there a name of this married guy. No way to know if this story is true. I doubt it. I think Charles's camp invented it. I only believe what Ken Wharfe said in his book as although he did not like her, he was fair in what he wrote. There was a lot of negative propaganda going around about Diana. Yes, Diana was on the outs with Fergie, but Fergie wrote in a book that she borrowed Diana's shoes and got some type of viral warts from her. That would have made me mad too. Besides I also seriously doubt Fergie ever borrowed her shoes. She was 8 inches shorter and has small feet Diana had big feet. Diana's mother? Didn't she leave her children for another man? I doubt I would have had a good relationship with my mother either, if she had done that to me. From what I understand Althrop had a cottage on the estate Diana wanted to borrow for her and her sons that summer of 1997 for a place for them to be together away from paparazzi and he refused, and her mother sided with him. Heck, that is how she ended up with Dodi. Dodi's father heard about it and offered her his yacht for her and her sons for a vacation together with him and his family and then had Dodi come along too. Don't forget her brother has used her fame for his own profit and still does to this day. He rents out her childhood bedroom for something like 25,000 a night. As if opening Althorp for tours is not enough to cover his expenses on that house. No, he is just plain greedy.

From her parents’ divorce, to her horrific marriage to Charles. She attempted suicide multiple times while married to Charles, even during her pregnancy 🤰 to Prince 🤴 Willliam. From cutting herself to throwing herself down a flight of stairs!!!! Her bulimia stemmed directly from Charles, when he said she was chubby, weeks before their wedding!!! I do believe she actually was, she was the Queen of Hearts - all over the world. In the background "Silent Night" is playing as you hear the phrase "sleep in heavenly peace". The flash from the camera goes off which is no doubt one of the last things she saw (witness statement "a blinding flash of light") followed by the sound of the flash gun recharging (the high pitched whine) which makes a noise that sounds a lot like a heart defibrillator recharging, You then hear "sleep in hevenly peace" again and cut to black.More subtlety to a scene than what you first see.

How to even write a comment for a video as beautiful as what you just created. I can't even tackle it and been in awe for 3 hours at this work.
Out of all the videos, this one in particular touched me the most for how genuine it is, for Diana's story, for your mastery of sound, editing, song choice.
This is probably one of the best things I've ever seen in my life out of all art forms. Truly a work of beauty. Never been moved like this in my life like I am watching this.
The nostalgia, intensity, heartbreaking scenes and the power that shined through your composition of clips is unmatched. Thank you for this !❤️

I think it’s funny that no one looks up to Prince Charles but people all over the world, even people who aren’t ruled by the royal family, kids, adults, are still looking up to Diana even though she’s passed, it’s proves that even though she’s passed she still lives on in so many peoples hearts ♥️

I really think, no one can copy the character of the people's princess Diana. She was exceptional, loved by all. God gifted but the tragedy part is that, she loved the person who does not know how to give regard. This is the thing for Diana that is above all.

And again... MASTERPIECE! And what a genius idea, to post the two videos together. The juxtaposition between them is mindblowing, especially when you notice the difference in the music themes you chose (much darker for Charles, way lighter for Diana). And the inner juxtaposition in this particular video, which is the light in the music and the darkness of her story. Excellent excellent frigging EXCELLENT!

You don’t wear a crown on your head. You hold your crown in your heart. If you don’t have the heart, the crown means nothing. It’s just metal. You need a pure heart, and loving, caring soul to care for others. A terrible tragedy. I was 2 when she died. And I knew I felt something powerful. And it’s because the REAL princess died. The princess with the heart of crowns. She was the people princess, and she always will be 💖

An absolute masterpiece, really. You have captured every feeling, the music in the background, the dialogue, sequences... I have nothing to say but 'tragic'. The fact that the series covered flawlessly every scene and event
And it's more of a vibe than dialogues and the silence in the scenes speaks more of the situation
For instance Season 4 is about Charles and Diana's wedding
But if you see their wedding was not shown like a happy marriage
You can see Diana in the morning looking at her wedding dress as if doubting her decision
And then you can see her heading towards a black door Charles is shown dressing for his wedding but he looks rather cold and pale and throughout the episode, a silent note was played which is unlikely for a wedding
Comparing it to Season 1 the queen's wedding was more joyous and both the Queen and Philip were beaming this wedding episode looked as if they were about to commit a huge and a tragic mistake
