But she was at least trying to do what was best for them. If she is mentally ill, then Charles is mentally degenerate. He could have chosen to put his own selfish wants aside, and put the needs of his children first, but he made them go through Hell, and made their mother go through Hell.

In actuality, during their first interview when Charles answered, “Whatever in love means,” Diana awkwardly giggled and said, “Yes.” At the time I remember thinking that it was a sham on his part and somebody needed to rescue this young girl who was clueless and didn’t know what to do. They all used Diana and took advantage of her. She eventually grew up, sought help and found her voice.

Camilla said andrew cheated on her, but she also cheated on him with charles. What's difference???
Because adultery is a locked gate. Charles opened that gate and did not close it. Allowing Diana to walk through as well. Charles' choices were his own. So were Diana's. Unfortunately, his highness' did not simply affect him. It affected his family, too. And it affected Lady Diana in a really bad way. And because Charles opened that gate and did not close it, everybody else can enter as well. Meaning, he basically approved adultery for the entire world of people who look up to the royal family.
This statement does not just apply to this situation, but to everything that people who are looked up to do.

It’s not shown in this video but the scene where the staff are clearing up Charles’ bedroom and house after being with Camilla, removing a bra, putting fresh sheets on the bed, replacing the bedside photo of Camilla to Diana and changing the flowers around the house from Camilla’s favourite to Diana’s is just sickening. Don’t confuse the Netflix series with real life. The Crown is mostly fictional. It’s not a bonafide documentary. We don’t know what was said by royals behind closed doors, either to each other or to staff. The “he said, she said” is not proof, some unfaithful staff member selling out the Royal family to the press is not proof of anything.
The writers of the series the Crown make up stuff. It’s fiction. We have no way of knowing how their affair was carried out. It was secret after all. In such a situation, you want to involve as few people as possible, particularly staff of whose loyalties you can never be completely sure.

I love Diana dearly but I think both her and Charles were victims. Diana was not the love of his life, Camilla was. He wanted to marry and reign with her, not Diana. But the house would not ALLOW him to be with whoever he wanted. The house chose Diana, so unfortunately, he had to choose Diana. Which is not fair for either party. Both he and Diana were miserable and it’s all because both of them wanted out but the queen said NO! Harry had a better chance of escaping the palace because Prince William is the next heir. If the Queen, would’ve just allowed Charles to marry Camilla, we wouldn’t know Diana, but she would still be alive. The only person I can blame is Camilla, she knew that the prince was married so should’ve done her country a favor.

I believe she loved her, critiqued her, and was greatly saddened by her passing. You have to understand she knew this girl since she was a young child, almost one of her own. The Queen just isn’t a person to show open affection and admiration in the same way as Diana. She’s very stoic, very professional.

One lesson I have learned and had not realized this with my own life, Diana thought in the place she would win Charles' loyalty because probably she saw him treat her elder sister well. Yes Princess Diana was a good woman but in the wrong hands. She could never be her elder sister and that is why Charles' loyalty kept with Camilla. It was who his heart wanted. However much Diana was the best wife for him, she was not what the Prince wanted.
So the heart wants what it wants but it's so sad sometimes that one can be selfish that they even have to destroy others lives because they can't watch them be happy with someone else. You don't want but can't let go.
