    For me, each of her fingers are equally strong and that makes the music understandable.

    How I love the way she glanced at the conductor when the performance was about to end, smiled in agreement and wiggled her head, indicating a "Good job!" or "We made it!"

      @Viet Hoang: In a performance of a Beethoven piano concerto. the Brazilian soloist (Cristina Ortiz) transferred the melody to the orchestra in such a delicate way that the Austrian conductor (Leopold Hager) turned his head, and they exchanged a smile that not only indicated a "How nicely done!" but also enhanced the musicality that was already floating before me and that, I am sure, had captivated the entire audience. I will not forget this, one of my best, musical moments; communication between artists is unbelievably grafteful. Wish you had been there!

    Bravo... It's funny how the orchestra started on playing on their own before the piano hit in the beginning, because it's like it was all going the conductor's way of performance until the piano started and her outstanding playing had suddenly changed the feel to the music and the orchestra has responded to that as well, so then the conductor have had a sudden change of mind that it actually sounds better this way then the way he intended it to be in the first place.. I give props to the lady, she should also be the one conducting the music as well! Just Sublime! It's close to Beethoven's interpretation then any other performance I've heard so far.. Just Great!

    • @ProdigyImprovisation
      @ProdigyImprovisation Před 7 lety

      Ithad2beU well can't you hear it? I don't judge, I only choose what's better & so the power is worth to be given to the ones who are better in understanding the music! Everybody sees it differently that's why each conductor is different. But there has only been one way & that way is Beethoven's way! To make it as traditional as his way is the most best way to play it! Which I understand it is impossible for most people to interpret the mind of a genius, but this is what it takes, so I choose that instead of anything else & I assume the world is on my side as well, it's common sense if you think about it!

    As beautiful a male conductor as Lenny . Oh i never tire of seeing him in Miami. Never saw him in San Francisco but have heard so much and he gives us all so much ! Larrocha is an unbelievable always more thanjust a n exemplary pianist with the taste of an angel and a goddess who somehow played Brahms2, Rach 3 and that Khachaturian concerto . Big men and big ,strong concerti yet she was a diminutive pianist ANOTHER TERESA CARRENO ! I heard Arrau but never saw LArrocha and I know she has come to the cities I have lived in . Listen to her Mozart sonatas and you know she has the verve and sensitivity of our most treasured artists ,virtuosi , and a stellar personality . Only Argerich still has her star power!

    I love this Beethoven performance but wish the adverts didn’t interrupt the music! They should only be allowed between the movements if they have to have them.
    I urge anyone who hasn’t heard Alicia de Larrocha play the Granados Goyescas to try and get to hear her recordings, on Decca and another on RCA; They’re phenomenal and have never been bettered by anyone else I have heard so far!

      +Valentin Chantereau The excessive garishness or sentimentality you see being projected by the filmed setting and lighting appears to me as something completely different. I see an alternative universe Star Wars episode in which the threatening cantina at Mos Eisley is mysteriously transformed from wretched hive of scum and villainy to a relatively safe and comfy 1980's sci-fi-themed spacious lounge for well-dressed and cultured aficionados of live classical music performance. I would stop in for a quick listen before blasting off on a Kessel Run.

    The way this is filmed (camera angles and costumes etc.) treats the sublime music as a joke. That is why it makes it uncomfortable to watch. But it's still nice to listen to, without seeing the picture.

    • @seven0929
      @seven0929 Před 8 lety

      +lisilisin There's nothing wrong with her, on the contrary. What I don't like is the version she's playing, the cadenza at 13:07 is really annoying in this version. Listen to the best version and you will understand:
      Rondo in B Flat WoO6
      Stefan Vladar
      Capella Istropolitana
      Barry Wordsworth

Do not let the frustrations of someone else let you fly off the handle! You're more mature than that! Next time, try a polite request for further explanation before sullying yourself with lust for ad hominems.
