Amazing performer! She is greatly missed.
This is maybe Mozarts best well-known piano concerto. A long time ago my father bought a record of this concerto. Soloist was Clara Haskil with the Wiener symphoniker. I turned this record "Grey" and later on I discovered there were 26 other piano concertos by Mozart.
So it took me years before I had records of all Mozarts piano concerto's to which I listened over and over again. Mozart was the only great composed who composed so many piano concerto's which are still played today. My favourite soloists still are Clara Haskil, Alicia de Larrocha and Maria João Pires.🎹🙏

Sony just brought out a seven-CD set of her Granados: played on BBC Radio3 this morning, June 24. We heard Allegro de Concierto Op 46. Such fireworks!
Alicia de Larrocha understands perfectly Mozart and Schumann. These two pianists, who do not have much in common apparently, she creates a kind of bridge between them. By her subtility, her incredibly colourful pianism. Fortunately, they are my two favorite composers.

Anybody know whose 1st movement cadenza Mme de Larrocha plays here in her k466? It is not the usual one, though conventionally suited to the movement it is drawn from.

Both, Martha's and Alicia's, are great. Just difrents. You are one of this people who thinks that playing faster means playing better. Wrong!!!!!!! This shows that you aren't a musician!!! Alicia thinks that this concert has to be playet at this tempo and Marta thinks has to be faster. Diferent opinion. That doesn't means that de Larrocha can't play faster. Of course she can!!!!
lisilisin It doesn’t make sense faster. Argerich can do it her own way, beautifully, Larrocha does it Mozart’s!
