Everytime I watch you I think about my mom. She died at age 60 in 1998 I was only 27 I miss her cooking especially her cookies. She would literally spend all day and night in the kitchen baking. She made huge quantities for weddings. People loved her cookies so did I. She would of loved the pecan ones. 💜

I simply love this series. It comes on Saturdays multiple times on various PBS channels here in Philadelphia. Something about it is so comforting and perfect for Sat. afternoons. I could see making all of these for my next brunch.

Mmmm, just give me a basket of the pecan bars-- heavenly stuff. But a couple of other recipes here are not bars, but actually _squares_ ... Bars are shaped a bit like a gold bar from Fort Knox, or a full sized Snickers.
