Just love everything about this. I've never known such a versatile group that are so in sync with each other too. Kirstie looks so tiny in the middle of them all and love her part in this, plus the hat really suits her!
Kevin and Avi SMASH THIS!!!, The background by Mitch and Kirstin is totally insane!! especially during Scott's 2nd solo. Scott is a master at those quick runs adding so much flavor!! Mitch has maybe the cleanest, clearest voice I've ever heard, it's almost crystalline.

That album is all fire! My fav song (Mitch leading) is See Through, and I don't know that I have EVER heard anyone react to it. There is no MV for it, but it is the hottest fire on that album & one of my fav of all their songs!!! I just love your reactions coz you notice & get excited about all the same things that I do!! This one of my favorite Avi era mashups! It showcases everyone's talents so well. I love how the video is simple and just has them jammin' in a circle. They look like they are having the time of their life just vibing with one another.
Like I keep saying Every Single Mashup from PTX is golden! One of my faves!!!!!!! This was probably one of the first mashups I heard from them because it was around the time I first discovered them and it still slaps!

This is one of my favorites, thank you! Just came home with Blinding Lights playing in the car ... La La Latch really is the predecessor for that and even New Rules - the PTX synthesizer plus rhythm effects.

This la la la song is one of the few mainstream track that caught my heart when it came out, prolly also coz of it's official video (visual type here) with that bolivian legend, it made me look it up and all SO, IN SHORT they did justice (of course) and love this just as much 🤩

Travis! You HAVE to react to Water by PTX! That entire album was incredibly underrated in my opinion and would love it if you reacted to it. Ref, Water, and light in the Hallway are my absolute favorites with the addition of Rose Gold. Scratch that. The entire album is gold lol. You should definitely check it out 🥰

It's a shame that album has only a few videos. I love "Rose Gold" though I sometimes wonder if it isn't just a teensy bit higher than Scott is comfortable with - though he sure sounds awesome. "Ref" is just amazing. A capella synth - whoda thunk it? "You made your bed, you know the rest."
@@barbarabishop9362 I think Scott’s falsetto was a little bit weaker back then. I feel like if they re-recorded it it would sound a better since his falsetto (even though not showcased as much) has gotten a stronger

I don't think there are any other groups that do medley mashups quite like Pentatonix. We first saw glimpses of their mashup skills in The Sing-Off and full on in their award-winning Daft Punk Medley.

While I want you to stay firmly on the PTX and solo projects train I also wanted to put forward a different artist recommendation. Might not be your cup of tea but for your Christmas repertoire you should check out For King & Country. My six year old (big Imagine Dragons fan) loves their Live in Phoenix Christmas album but especially the remastered version of Little Drummer boy. (The original video is great too) Look for the CMA Christmas video, it’s good. And no, they are not really country, they are labelled as Christian but I personally find them more alternative. To pitch them further: it’s the only Christmas music I can play in front of my husband without complaint 🤗 (and that’s 15 years worth of trying)
You made this Chicago guy very happy. I would always request it (and Rather Be) and thought you weren't going to get to it :D This really is, one of my favorite if not the favorite mashups that they've done. There is a live version that they did in studio for a radio station in Europe that is amazing (although to be honest, the sound guy has Scott's mic on a little to high at one point and throw it off, but the rest is great. Always the same problem with PTX tracks: too short! Why couldn’t this be 30 minutes longer? A measly 30 minutes is all I’m asking for. Is that too much?
