Then I asked my wife to do the same. She immediately said cherry cedarwood. She wouldn't taste it. So I did the honors and here are the results: Nose: cherry cedarwood. Taste: cherry clove oakwood.

I don’t know why, but it drives me absolutely insane when people say “Carmel” instead of caramel. Carmel is a city in California. Caramel is candy made from sugar. And no. It’s not the same thing.

After years of continuing with cheap college boy cheapies, I found an epiphany whiskey. Finally, I understood how good bourbon can be. That set me on the journey. What was yours? ... Good review.

Really enjoy the history of this review, I enjoy woodford but I prefer the more spicey bulleit especially in a maple old fashioned

Woodford, of course. Then went right out for the Double Oaked. That reminds me. I need a new bottle!

Woodford is always a solid pour, and my go-to around derby time for a mint julep. Neat I'm a much bigger fan of the Double Oaked though.

Pretty much same here. Yeah the basic Maker's Mark is not my favorite. I prefer the profile of Woodford. :)
Woodford has a wheat now, give that a shot it might get you closer to that makers flavor.

My everyday go to Bourbon. I think it has a lot of flavor for a cheaper bourbon.

Yeah it hasn't done well in blinds for me. I think it was a good start but it doesn't have enough body or richness.

Part of it is triple pot distilled. The rest is column distilled, which they don't like to tell you haha
