@@msdee3114 erm I think it’s quite normalised in American films. Maybe not the highest budget Hollywood films. However loads of films, especially black cast films have had dark skinned women as leads. All the way from 90s thin line between love & hate, classics like Ghost. All the way to more recently such as Girlfriends/hidden figure. As a British person any black film I’ve ever watched is from the 90s, all the way to now is American and has had at least browned skinned women as leads. All we got (UK) is Niomi Harris in James Bond. Don’t always have to be the darkest shade of black to be representing black women.
