    Nice ! I have a 2007 model (with over 400 hours on it now) so it's interesting to see the differences. Confused by the power steering now , I suppose it's for weak armed drivers. I've found the steering to be quite light actually. Rear suspension gives your back a break on uneven lawns. Electric mow height beats manual by far. Seat looks to be more comfortable and durable then before. Hope they still have greaseable spindles as they last forever. Gas gauge on the dash is nice and I now see pushbutton start. The deck looks to be even beefier than before which was fine.
    The tufftorque automatic traction control isn't as great as they make out but it helps and is reliable.
    Simplicity wont tell you but Tufftorque will tell you (on there website) to change out the hydrostatic oil to synthetic and I have at the 225 hr mark and will change it again at the 450 mark.
    I see now the Vanguard motors are no longer used which is a shame but nowadays it would add considerably to the cost as they are made in the US vs before in Japan. Simplicity has held the line incredibly well on there price and for the most part improved their mowers at the same time.
    I'll never wear my mower out in my lifetime , maybe my son will , hard to tell at this point there just built to last.
    Oh another thing Simplicity hasn't prostituted themselves out building a cheep version for the box stores like so many others.

    w just bought the exact same one last year, but with 25 horsepower. I love it it only takes about 5 minutes to take the mower deck off and put it on. The snowblower is just as easy to put on and take off. Or at least once it is all assembled.

    I've learned to hate mine. Broke down with 'minor' problems allll theeee timeeee. Just 1 year old, back to dealer 4 times and In the garage right now waiting to have the THIRD $60 deck belt replaced this season. When it works, it's great but mine has been more unreliable than the 25-year-old John Deere I replaced with it. Regret the purchase.

      I had the belt stretch problem first few times I used it and was told initially by the dealer that it was not covered by the warranty because I did not have the engine on high when I engaged the blades! No one told me that and if it’s in the manual…it’s as well hidden as Jimmy hoffas body!!

    How do you find the use of the rollers and the deck? I'm interested in one of these but I worry about the small rollers getting hung up on rocks or sidewalk curbs/edges

    • @The570Experience
      @The570Experience  Před 10 měsíci +1

      You will have no issue with curbs and sidewalks...as far as the rollers themselves...you get stripes when you mow a certain way...I hardly ever mow that way..I have three hrs of mowing...it would take an extra hour if I were to mow back and forth

    Bought this same model mower early May 2020, it's a 54" cut with 25 hp Briggs. I think mine was made on a Friday or Monday as it had a few 'minor' hardware problems like nuts/bolts not torqued properly. Gas gauge did not work, fixed myself by just plugging in the electrical connection. My biggest complaint, and I can't get my dealer or the factory to tell me, is how to set the clock to the correct time. The time is always off by about 10 minutes per week and it won't reset. All other resets on the clock (engine hours, air filter, blade hours) work. Anyone have the same problem? Owners manual does not reflect correct procedure to reset clock. Factory won't acknowledge this error :( By the way I gave $5200, but with $200 discount direct from dealer (per factory) and another $200 mail in rebate (from factory), brought price down to $4800 plus tax.

      Your mower does not have all metall WELDED construction...its mostly stamped steel..your deck height adjustment is manual were mine is digital...you have a plastic piece on the top of your hood. Your frame is stamped, so your hitch is very weak and susceptible to bending...your deck is metal but not welded steel, it's stamped. Your mower doesn't have a suspension or traction control. Your mower doesn't have solid axles. Your mower has smaller tires. Your mower doesn't have the striping rollers. Your mower doesn't have keyless start. Your mower doesn't have cruise control. Your mower doesn't have power steering. Your mowers seat is foam..mine is custom patented anti sweat seat and is the most comfortable on the market. Your mower has a cutout in the hood to see the gas level, mine has a digital gage. I could go on but like I said....two different class machines

Just try to find a local dealer, any dealer !!, in any state !!, or even a phone number for those clowns! Instead, they direct you to Briggs & Stratton. Lovely!
