Thank you Brent, awesome and informative video! My X350 was delivered 1 week ago. I have the 42" deck, and had the mulch kit installed at purchase. Now I'm just embarrassed, 1) I didn't know about the leveling kit under the seat, 2) I didn't know about the adjustable spring positions for the seat, I have the 2023 model, so when I finish writing this, I'm gonna check this out, 3) I didn't know about the deck save position, and what this lever was on the operators panel for. So I've bought my first John Deere, what a proud moment, because I recall like it was yesterday, my Grandfather buying a new John Deere 4020 to help feed America, bragging about how he received a new John Deere hat with his purchase! I guess times have changed. So long story short, you've helped me immensely with your knowledge, so thank you very much, now off I'm to the barn to check out my new found knowledge. Thanks Brent, Don
Hey Brent, just bought one of these up here in Canada based on your review. I was leaning toward the S240 but really like the deck on the X350 and it was your video pushed me over the price barrier to get it LOL. I'm retired now but had a long career in business to business sales and with your easy manner and attention to detail I'd have hired you in a minute! Take care and thanks for all the great videos.
Getting ready to buy a used X unit with about 300 hrs on it. Knew nothing about it and found this video to be exactly what I was looking for. Thorough and to the point. The mower deck removal looks a lot easier than I expected too. Thanks!!
I've been mowing with John Deere lawn tractors for 25 years now, I've found the primary use of the hydrostatic disconnect on the back of the mower is when you push it around the garage or shop. I've never liked the idea of starting the engine just to move it a few feet, so its easier just to pull the release and push it. I really like the hinged covers over the spindles, the models that don't have that you have to unbolt those covers from the deck, the bolts on the back are really hard to reach. JD does leave a small port but its extremely difficult to see and even more difficult to try to grease the spindles through the small port, those hinged covers make the job so much easier, plus the added ease of blowing out any cuttings that accumulate there.
Hey I'm a 55-year-old woman and I bought the x350 John Deere on your recommendation. I am currently learning how to do my first oil change. Thank you for your videos. They are greatly appreciated
Brent, I just bought this mower today. The JD dealer says they can deliver it to me Monday. I can't wait to get it! Your awesome reviews helped me make my decision to purchase this mower. Thanks for all you do!!
Hi. I usually don't leave comments or reviews but must say, you finally answered the question I could not find anywhere on the web...and it was about the Washout Port. I'm 71 and I take care of our 2.5 acres and trimming. So thank you. My John Deer is two years old and still looks brand new and I use it once a week. I clean it often and I think that helps. Thanks again for your time...
I have owned this mower a few years now. About 400 hours on it. I have done things to it that you shouldn’t. It never lets me down. Just changed out the belts and blades. That’s all I have had to buy outside oils changes.
I just bought a x350 2 days ago. I have been mowing for 4 years with a 317 Magnum 18 swapped 50 inch deck and I have to say I am very pleased with the new x350. I only have 2 hours on it but I am very very happy with it. The first thing I did was make a jumper for the RIO switch. Very pleased with the x350, I am keeping the 317 to plow the driveway and till my garden
This is a great video. I'm a first time riding mower owner (X350) and just watching this alone has made me a lot more comfortable with my new machine. Very helpful!
Do yourself a favor and remove the spindle guards, they dont prevent anything from building up. All they do is help collect, build up heat and make your spindles wear faster. With the covers off, its much easier to keep clear, keep an eye one it, and reduce heat build up.
My 2022 X350 arrived. I played around with it. I love it!! I tried the yellow RIO button. I tried pressing once before backing up. It disengaged the blades. But when I held it down for about 2 seconds, I was able to mow in reverse without holding the button down the whole time. I'm hoping to get more experience with it on Sunday before it rains. I'll post my review..
Got the same, did you ever make sure you only turned the blade on at half throttle and then pushed the throttle up? Yeah me neither, rip it, don't baby it you got it to use it!
Also if you are worried about wearing out your mower belt, I suggest a simple wire to jump the reverse cut off, disconnect the switch and make a jumper, you will never have to worry about the deck shutting off in reverse, and it will definitely reduce wear from stoping and restarting the blades
Well Done, Very Informative, my 2nd Deere Mower, 1st LX280 good mower haven't used this X350 I went with 42 inch deck as I have just 1acre of grass to cut. Got a good price for my LX280, $2300.00 (14 years old 621 Hrs). Sold in 18 hours sitting on my front lawn on country road. Accepted the offer just $150.00 under asking price. Served me well.
Great information for anyone looking to buy a John Deere X350. You described all of the features so that someone could easily compare this unit to another. The 4 year warranty also makes it a great buy.
You’re the second very nicely done video explaining the usage of the X350 except for “must hold button down then you can mow in reverse”? You do not say to push button down and release and then you can keep mowing in reverse. Huge difference. Someone who does not know better will think you have to hold it down the whole time while in reverse mowing. They would figure it out quickly while using it but it might be something to keep them from purchasing this particular mower. Excellent tutorial besides that. I love mine.
Bought my LX188 26 years ago. I like to stay informed, I may need to replace it "some day". I put the lx188 and my body through hell taming my property but were still going strong. I like the new features on the x350 but Get the feeling my tractor is a bit more robust. My Kawasaki is water cooled too. Oh well, this is still a contender if need be. about $4K is ok too.
Note: that oil filter is a pain to take off if it's the factory filter. (Once it's replaced its much easier.) Starting the mowerdeck: I put it at the bottom of the green zone, otherwise it might stall. (Atleast it feels like that). The cruise control is genuinly a handy feature to have. Btw: mine is a 2017 with the 42" Edge Mulch deck. Can confirm I am able to mow about 3/4 hours with one fuel tank. The washout ports DO work, but it does not get everything completely brand new clean, so to speak.
I have a 2019 x354. The only thing I do not like is the oil filter location. It can be a bit of a pain to get it off and when you do it can be a mess unless you makeshift some type of chute to funnel the oil away from the deck below. I only do this out in the grass as you will drip oil most likely. Could be a bit less deck noise, could be a bit easier to remove the deck. Even with those small things it is a great machine. I cut around a lot of trees so the 4 wheel steering is great.
The throttle level for PTO engagement was a new concept to me, never knew half-throttle was recommended until I had to replace mine recently. Good info that you never really hear about.
Funny the way we love the mower we purchased. The engines are not made specific for anyone and Cub Cadet among others also use it, as well as Kohler and Briggs & Stratton. When I was looking for a new rider, features, engine, reviews and price are what you have to work with as I don't know any dealer including the big box stores that will let you take it out for a test cut. The truth is your pro's and con's are derived from your own personal experiences, how do your operate it, take care of it, and the conditions of how and where you use it. In short buy what you like but comparisons are B/S. They only differ when you go from a yard tractor to a garden tractor and that's not comparing apples to apples, it's more like apple to banana if you get my drift. Garden tractors do cut grass but will do so much more just keep in mind with the extra do's also comes an extra cost. So when i see these I laugh because as I said in the very first sentence, "Funny the way we love the mower we purchased". Of course mine is better I bought it, it's mine and I'm stuck with it the good and the bad. Oh I have a 46" Cub Cadet the deck size is due to my circumstances I would have preferred a 54" but I do not want move fences and trees to accommodate the deck size. My rider is also fantastic, sure it is, it's mine. End of story.
Thank You for your well-presented video on the X-350. I went to my John Deere store here in Chesapeake, VA and purchased this Rider! I haven't taken delivery yet, but will be adding a double bagger and front bumper. Thanks again, your awesome!!
i liked the video i am fixing to buy me the x350 i think it will last me a lone time .lawn mowers have changed a lot in the last few years. it is really nice to watch the video and see how john deer puts so much pride in there products.this is a big move for me .thank you again.Donnie Rogers
Im glad i found your video on the x350 my wife and I just bought our first John Deere in general in fact the only rider anything thanks to you I already got the run down on this mower can't wait to mow with it for the first time
Stellar review. I just bought an X300 48 inch deck, 2013 model with the Kawi top engine option. 603 cc engine. Used of course. 266 hours on it. Looking forward to running it this year. Bought it to replace my JD D140 which was a total piece of garbage. Spent more time wrenching then mowing on that thing .
Just bought an X590, and you are a terrific wealth of information. The X590 is considerably more capable and complex than my JD102. Thank you for putting this together.
@@WesternEquipment I really appreciate your work. Because of your video I purchased a X330 with a few adds and a 10P cart here in Southern Indiana. Taking delivery today. First John Deere.
I have an X304 with a mulching deck , it's pretty similar to this X305 , same engine, same controls the main difference is the LCD display and the modern front end. It's been very reliable in 15 year's I've put 340 hours on it. The only complaint I would have is the extremely poor quality seat cover !! The yellow vinal cover split after 29 hours , I remember going back to my local John Deere dealer where I had purchased the mower and got no satisfaction ! That needless to say left me very annoyed. I would still say it's an excellent lawnmower.
@BBQ Nut Do you have mulching blades on it? Did you put different blades on and accidentally put them on upside down? Some kind of blockage in the discharge chute or tube?
I have just bought one of these in the UK today. Thanks so much for your excellent Walkaround, really informative and helpful. Very difficult to buy these tractors now because of Covid but I got lucky. Can’t wait to give it a try.
I've run the heck out of a deere x 350 very easy to operate from a 12 year old I've run mowers since I was old enough to sit up straight on my grandpas lap now 10 years later I've put over 1000 hours as on 20 anchors Deere's the way to go I have one that's 20 years old now with a lot of hours do math 10 of 20 anchors for ofer16 years great!
@@WesternEquipment my jd gt 235 I just finished mowing a field with it that you'd usually use a Bush hog for set it as high as it would go it looked like a golf course afterwards and. I was moving no slower than normal and I didn't have to do it half deck
I bought an X350 in August 2017. The seat cracked within a month...warranted it and that one cracked within a year. John Deere really needs to consider better quality vinyl seating.
Your video is very informative. You do an excellent job of pointing out the features of this model. There is a 2019 Black Friday Sale where buyers can save $600 on this model. I'm buying one !
One of the best instruction videos I have ever seen. I have on question. I have the 48" deck and I also have a Trac-Vac that I have which is in A1 condition that I obviously would like to use. I think I heard you say that the 48" bed needs a blower. Also, can I hook the Trac-Vac up to the JD ?
Hey Brent!, I have had my X350 now for almost a year, LOVE IT! I have 70 hrs. on it. I'm getting ready for 2024 mowing season. I would like to add a striping feature to my 48" deck do you know of a good one I can add seen a few but not good reviews?? Your Videos are very informative, more so that the dealers.
Fairly pleased with my x350 after almost 3 years but please explain why engineering can't devise a pulley tension spring for the transmission that stays fixed...
at the 21:00 mark you talk about removing the deck and it is very easy. But you don't mention anything about removing a belt before the deck will roll out?
Very well done and informative. I have had my X350 since late last summer and learned more today than I ever knew. Also enjoyed the outtakes to know you are human.
I will dig further into this but either way it is a good idea to have grease on the shaft to avoid rust on it, even if the spindle and bearings are sealed.
@@WesternEquipment Yes I agree with the shaft getting some lubricant, however the JD shop where I bought my mower told me I must grease the spindle bearings every few hours and when I had a bearing failure I found them to be sealed both sides. Even if the inner seals are removed, holes would have to be drilled on the outer seals otherwise they would pop out under grease pressure. I'll look forward to your findings. Regards.
This is true but the grease will fill the open space in the spindle which in turn will keep moisture from building there and cause damage to the spindle.
@@woods840if properly maintained they last several years. If you simply cant stand the thought of it you can spend an afternoon and pop each spindle apart and remove the inner seals. Reassemble it and grease it all ya want. Literally every manufacturer has gone to these style spindle bearings, and failures are seldom a problem.
Bought a 42" X350 today. The thing is a beast compared to my old Craftsman. Thanks for explaining the features. It took me a while to figure them all out and I still wasn't sure.
@@commonsense6839 After my maiden voyage... Impressive, but the power, sitting higher and safety features will take some getting used to. Im used to a much older wheel horse that served me well.
Excellent presentation of what appears to be a great mower. GOOD JOB!! I saw a very nice, like new looking one for sale locally and i'm tempted. It's a 42" which is a little small for me and does have 230 hrs. on it though. He is asking $2250.00
High Brent I was wondering if you could do a video on taking the mower off and putting a snowblower on. I am handicapped and just want to know before I but. Thank you John.
I'm waiting for my 2022 JD X350 to arrive in the next week or so. Great video! Could you possibly do a video about greasing it? I've never done that before. Thanx!
Thank you for the awesome video! Very informative and an excellent review. Wish you were in my part of the world so I could meet you all in person. Convinced me to buy this model over the E series.
I had to replaced my spindle and found that the barrings were sealed. So the grease I had been squeezing into the tip, never got into the barrings. It's a hollow cavity.
Brent, Love your vids! Just got my dream John Deere! You give us so much info on what our JD's do & the importance of the upkeep. I do need some help reading the diagnose symbols & what they mean. no manual. Got it yesterday 2018 - X350
Why does John Deere says you don’t have to change the oil on the hydrostatic transmission but I’ve seen like seven or eight videos of people doing it and they find metal in the transmission
Best instruction video I've seen so far. JD states that this tractor is not for hills. My property is separated by a short but steep hill. My current 12hp with Eaton hydro handles this (when dry). I've also heard complaints about the TuffTorq hydro. Am I going to have a problem negotiating this hill with this tractor?
It is hard to say without giving it a shot! I can tell you these are very nice mowers and most people do not have problems! But what I would do is call your local John Deere dealer and ask them to bring one out for a demo! They should be more than happy to do so! Let me know how it goes!
I actually say the first digit represents the series, so the 3 is the series. The second number represents the features and functions of the tractor. And the last digit represents the type of steering the machine has, whether it is 2 wheel or 4 wheel steer.
Good video. Thinking about buying a new 2021 X350. Wish you would do a new video for the new 2021. I know there is a lot of new features on them. Thanks
I am debating on what mower to get I’m between the s170 and the x350. What do you think is best? I have about half an acre. Also what engine really is better the 22hp cyclonic engine, 21.5hp I torque or the 24hp twin extended life engine. I can’t find much on what would really be the best engine. I figured more hp the better but hp seems to go down in the x series.
If you are willing to make the jump then I would go with the X350. You are just getting a better built mower and the Kawasaki engines are a great option and seem to be everybody's favorite.
Brent you could sell ice to an Eskimo. You make me want to go out and buy this mower. Great job and keep the videos coming. Maybe do a X580 or X7 series mower next.
Thanks for the review. Very informative. I’m looking at the x350 and the 2023 z320r. I have an acre(give or take) to mow. I do have a slope to the yard and it slopes to flat in the back while flat in front yard. So I’m trying to figure out which would be best. Do u have an “expert” opinion on which might be best? Thanks. Great informative videos. Keep ‘em coming.
i got a 2016 X350 48A deck the question is the transmission they have a Tuff Torq K46 that are nonservicable as other brands also use it. as there is a 300 hour warranty not sure if John deere warrants this transmission? i hear these transmissions fail the axle seals and other parts.
All if this depends on how the engine is made and what all else is on it when they rate the HP. It is very confusing to me at times too. Good question and thanks for watching!

Thank You for your well-presented video on the X-350. I went to my John Deere store here in Chesapeake, VA and purchased this Rider! I haven't taken delivery yet, but will be adding a double bagger and front bumper. Thanks again, your awesome!!
Thank you and I hope you enjoy your new mower. Also, thanks for watching!
i liked the video i am fixing to buy me the x350 i think it will last me a lone time .lawn mowers have changed a lot in the last few years. it is really nice to watch the video and see how john deer puts so much pride in there products.this is a big move for me .thank you again.Donnie Rogers
Awesome!! Glad I could help show you the product! Let me know how you like your new mower!
Im glad i found your video on the x350 my wife and I just bought our first John Deere in general in fact the only rider anything thanks to you I already got the run down on this mower can't wait to mow with it for the first time
Awesome! Glad i could help! Let me know how you like it!
Hate to hear that about the D140 but glad you are in another John Deere product!
Just bought an X590, and you are a terrific wealth of information. The X590 is considerably more capable and complex than my JD102. Thank you for putting this together.
Wow, thanks for the comment! I hope you enjoy your new mower and thanks for watching!
Best coverage of the x300 series I've found. Thanks.
Thanks for the comment. This is the stuff that keeps us going!
@@WesternEquipment I really appreciate your work. Because of your video I purchased a X330 with a few adds and a 10P cart here in Southern Indiana. Taking delivery today. First John Deere.
Finally some one gives a decent review. Good work.
@mark Rockliff thanks for the feedback. It means a lot to us!
Brent just bought mine last week got to use it once love it but learned so much from your video Thanks so much
I have an X304 with a mulching deck , it's pretty similar to this X305 , same engine, same controls the main difference is the LCD display and the modern front end.
It's been very reliable in 15 year's I've put 340 hours on it.
The only complaint I would have is the extremely poor quality seat cover !!
The yellow vinal cover split after 29 hours , I remember going back to my local John Deere
dealer where I had purchased the mower and got no satisfaction !
That needless to say left me very annoyed.
I would still say it's an excellent lawnmower.
On my LA145 RIO button only initially on reverse, you don’t need to keep it depressed.
This is true! I misspoke, pressing the button, then making your descent and then releasing the button in the correct procedure.
I'm still changing oil after 5 hours. I'm still running engine for 5 minutes before inducing any load. Kawasaki still says to do it, so I do.
Just ordered this X350 today from John Deere dealership. Looking forward to getting it! Great video!
Awesome! I hope you enjoy it. Thank you and thanks for watching!
I have a 2019 X354 with the Rear wheel steer and love it.
@BBQ Nut Do you have mulching blades on it? Did you put different blades on and accidentally put them on upside down? Some kind of blockage in the discharge chute or tube?
@BBQ Nut Also lower the deck to a lower cutting height.
d mccull do you feel comfortable on it on hills?
@@akbychoice Good question, I don't have any hills to use mine on. In theory I think they would do OK.
Glad to hear you like it! I plan on doing a demo of the 4 Wheel Steer in the future! Stay tuned!
Ordered mine Tuesday, hope it comes soon because I am ready to rideeeee
Awesome, I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching!
You did an awesome walk through. I hope to pickup a JD later this spring. Thanks for posting this clip.
Thanks for watching!
I have just bought one of these in the UK today. Thanks so much for your excellent Walkaround, really informative and helpful. Very difficult to buy these tractors now because of Covid but I got lucky. Can’t wait to give it a try.
Awesome! I am glad I was able to help you out. Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy your new mower!
Glad it has been so good to you! What’s your favorite mower?
@@WesternEquipment my jd gt 235 I just finished mowing a field with it that you'd usually use a Bush hog for set it as high as it would go it looked like a golf course afterwards and. I was moving no slower than normal and I didn't have to do it half deck
@@WesternEquipment although the x350 ain't bad
I bought an X350 in August 2017. The seat cracked within a month...warranted it and that one cracked within a year. John Deere really needs to consider better quality vinyl seating.
Mine did too!!!!!!!!!!!
Patrick Garcia I’ve yet to see any of these seats last on jd.
Was it kept inside or out in the weather?
Could you do a review on the 2021 x330 please. It's like the only one you have not done. I enjoy your knowledge of the lawn tractors!!!
If we get one in I definitely will. Thank you and thanks for watching!
Love your videos on the X350 mower. Would love to see a video on mower deck leveling on X350 42 inch deck...
I’ll see if we can make that happen!!
Taking the deck off is a piece of cake without a ramp or lift..... putting it back on gets me frustrated something fierce lol
We have heard this more than once unfortunately!
Your video is very informative. You do an excellent job of pointing out the features of this model. There is a 2019 Black Friday Sale where buyers can save $600 on this model. I'm buying one !
Thank you! Did you buy one? If so, do you love it?
One of the best instruction videos I have ever seen. I have on question. I have the 48" deck and I also have a Trac-Vac that I have which is in A1 condition that I obviously would like to use. I think I heard you say that the 48" bed needs a blower. Also, can I hook the Trac-Vac up to the JD ?
Getting my new X350 42" today and your video was very helpful. Going from a E110 to the X350. Excited!
Awesome! Hope you enjoy and I'm glad I could help!
I wish I had an answer for this, but unfortunately I am not an engineer by any stretch of the imagination haha!
at the 21:00 mark you talk about removing the deck and it is very easy. But you don't mention anything about removing a belt before the deck will roll out?
That was a great walkthrough! Thank you so much. The manual was daunting. I just bought the machine and I am anxious to use it!
Thank you and I hope this helped. I hope you enjoy your new mower!
Very well done and informative. I have had my X350 since late last summer and learned more today than I ever knew. Also enjoyed the outtakes to know you are human.
Glad to hear it! And yes these videos are not as easy as they look sometimes haha!!
The bearings on the blade spindles are sealed both sides so the grease point is a total waste of time........or has the design changed?
I will dig further into this but either way it is a good idea to have grease on the shaft to avoid rust on it, even if the spindle and bearings are sealed.
@@WesternEquipment Yes I agree with the shaft getting some lubricant, however the JD shop where I bought my mower told me I must grease the spindle bearings every few hours and when I had a bearing failure I found them to be sealed both sides. Even if the inner seals are removed, holes would have to be drilled on the outer seals otherwise they would pop out under grease pressure. I'll look forward to your findings. Regards.
He talks about greasing the mower spindles, but I’ve seen several videos showing the bearings are sealed and don’t need to be greased. What gives???
This is true but the grease will fill the open space in the spindle which in turn will keep moisture from building there and cause damage to the spindle.
Designed to fail.
Great video. I have the S240 which has the 100 chasis but a lot of the X300 features. has the same motor etc. love my John Deere.
Couldn't agree more!
I’ve got this mower. Wish i had watched this video 2 years ago 😉
Well maybe this was a god refresher or taught you something you didn't know. Thanks for watching!
Bought a 42" X350 today. The thing is a beast compared to my old Craftsman. Thanks for explaining the features. It took me a while to figure them all out and I still wasn't sure.
Congrats on your new mower!
Just bought a 42" x350. Hows it workin for ya?
@@Pwrcritter my only complaint is the reverse blade safety feature but it's easily bypassed. Otherwise I love the mower.
@@commonsense6839 After my maiden voyage... Impressive, but the power, sitting higher and safety features will take some getting used to. Im used to a much older wheel horse that served me well.
Are you still happy with the John Deere X350? Any problems or recommendations?
Excellent presentation of what appears to be a great mower. GOOD JOB!! I saw a very nice, like new looking one for sale locally and i'm tempted. It's a 42" which is a little small for me and does have 230 hrs. on it though. He is asking $2250.00
High Brent I was wondering if you could do a video on taking the mower off and putting a snowblower on. I am handicapped and just want to know before I but. Thank you John.
I am hoping to get some snow equipment in soon to do videos on, so stay tuned. Thanks for watching!
Fantastic job! Camera work was also good as he wa able to keep up with all of your great content.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
I'm waiting for my 2022 JD X350 to arrive in the next week or so. Great video! Could you possibly do a video about greasing it? I've never done that before. Thanx!
Awesome! I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching!
Thanks,a very excellent video, very easy to understand.Going to buy x350 with 42 inch deck
Thank you and i hope you really enjoy your new mower. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the awesome video! Very informative and an excellent review. Wish you were in my part of the world so I could meet you all in person. Convinced me to buy this model over the E series.
Thank you! Glad we could help!
I had to replaced my spindle and found that the barrings were sealed. So the grease I had been squeezing into the tip, never got into the barrings. It's a hollow cavity.
@Paul Cox Yep. It's a good little project that will save that "new pulley" money. czcams.com/video/h-83_Zoge3M/video.html
Yes! Paul Cox and Rocky77340 have the right answer!
Brent, Love your vids! Just got my dream John Deere! You give us so much info on what our JD's do & the importance of the upkeep. I do need some help reading the diagnose symbols & what they mean. no manual. Got it yesterday 2018 - X350
Well if you contact us at 247Parts.com we can get a manual ordered for you. Thank you for watching!
This is a dynamite video. It's made just the way I need to be informed about this mower. Thank you for the video!
Sweet glad you liked it.
Why does John Deere says you don’t have to change the oil on the hydrostatic transmission but I’ve seen like seven or eight videos of people doing it and they find metal in the transmission
This is a good question. I will have to look into this.
Just bought this machine. Can't wait for first cutting. Thanks for your awesome video, very informative.
Let me know how it goes! And thanks for the comment.
He’s good at explaining.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
This has really helped ... I am English and living in France but in your vernacular you are awesome!
Glad I could help!! And thank you for watching!!!
You give an excellent presentation. The last 2 mowers I've bought have been John Deere brand. Well done video!
Thank you for the compliment and thanks for watching!
This defiantly helps because I know everything when it comes to the 100 series but next to nothing about the x300 tractors
Glad I could help!
@@WesternEquipment thanks, also you said in the video that the 1st digit is the engine. X330 and X350 have different engines so I don't understand.
I actually say the first digit represents the series, so the 3 is the series. The second number represents the features and functions of the tractor. And the last digit represents the type of steering the machine has, whether it is 2 wheel or 4 wheel steer.
@@WesternEquipment sorry, you are correct. You are saying "mower". I thought you were saying "motor"
Ah, totally understandable!
Thanks for well how to operate and maintain JD mower.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
What’s the point of greasing the spindle when they are sealed bearing? To keep water out of the space between the two bearings?
Yes, and to decrease vibration. I have a video coming out on this very topic soon so stay tuned! Thanks for watching!
Great video! Answered many questions I had about the X350. Bloopers at end, very funny!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good video. Thinking about buying a new 2021 X350. Wish you would do a new video for the new 2021. I know there is a lot of new features on them. Thanks
Thank you! Here is a video explaining the current updates czcams.com/video/nI6GvkeVh6Y/video.html. Thanks for watching!
Own their LA125. It is okay, but I am converting all my yard tools to lithium-ion on . Looking for 42" by JD - where/when?
Good choice and good question! I have not heard of anything just yet but I would assume something must be in the works! Stay tuned!
@@WesternEquipment I purchased the x350 yesterday!! Just waiting for delivery! Can’t wait! Also do u have a review on the one touch mulch kit?
Brent you could sell ice to an Eskimo. You make me want to go out and buy this mower. Great job and keep the videos coming. Maybe do a X580 or X7 series mower next.
HAHAHA thank you! I really appreciate that! We will get one in the making!
Outstanding job! Clear, cincuse VERY informative. Planning on ordering one next week - this really helped. Thanks.
Thank you and I am glad I could help you out. Thanks for watching!
In my opinion, I like the tractor style mowers for slopes, but a zero turn mower can do it with correct operation.
Just bought my x-350 drives like a Cadillac
Nice! I'm glad you are enjoying it and thanks for watching!
Impressed with your presentation.
Thank you!
How about doing a video on mounting snow blade
I definitely plan on doing this as long as I can get my hands on one. Thanks for watching!
Great job on illustrations on how to operate equipment. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! That's what we plan on doing for a long time.
Hi great video! Is the 48” edge deck compatible with the X350?
Love your videos, very informative. Thanks for doing them.
Thank you and I am glad you like them!
i got a 2016 X350 48A deck the question is the transmission they have a Tuff Torq K46 that are nonservicable as other brands also use it. as there is a 300 hour warranty not sure if John deere warrants this transmission? i hear these transmissions fail the axle seals and other parts.
Yes, John Deere will handle any and all warranties on these mowers.
break-in oil in the transaxle NEEDS to be replaced at 50 hours. If you don't the transaxle will be junk within 200-300 hours.
Interesting. How do you go about changing it out since this is a sealed transaxle?
My 2006 JD 155C has Briggs and Stratton V-twin engine rated at 25HP and your X350 has only 18.5? Why is that?
All if this depends on how the engine is made and what all else is on it when they rate the HP. It is very confusing to me at times too. Good question and thanks for watching!
Hello. Do you have any plans to video a review on the X730? Thinking about purchasing one in the near future. I have owned an X350 for about 9 years. Thank you.
I am hoping to be able to do some X700 reviews this summer so stay tuned and thanks for watching!
This was incredibly informative. Thank you!!
Thank you and glad you like it!
