They really ain’t kidding when they say Soul Train is the Fountain of Youth.
lol
Ok ?!?!? 😉😉😉😉👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Fr!!..Like what was in that 🐔 cus most of them look way younger
@@SammiLaRo11 Too funny. You got me thinking... was it the chicken?? Lol
@@SammiLaRo11 🤣
You can really see the Nicholas Brothers influence in his dancing, especially at the end of the interview when he does an upper body 360 degree turn.
Vanessa Allmon, He gave the great Nicholas Brothers credit for their influence in this video, which was generous, I thought.
Those splits too!
"Mess around and buss my hip" 🤣🤣🤣
Facts 😂😂
yeah
WORD...I died!!!🤣🤣🤣
Dancing keeps you fit, healthy and young.
I agree 👍.
Yes!!! 🤩
Handsome then and handsome now. I really enjoy all the interviews!
These stories are the best! The late 80's and 90's. The clothes and dance in this video is so late 80's and early 90's! Dancing was aerobic as hell back then. You had to mooove everything. Hats off to Oak Tree for providing color block dress shirts and baggy pants with tapered legs.
I love that the last few interviews was from the New Jack Swing Era of Soul Train.
These were the days. Soul Train was soooo much fun....
I agree on that one i used to watch the show.
Indeed ! And it taught me all of my dancing skills !
Yes
HE'S STILL FLY
I love this guys personality
I was thinking the same thing. 😊
Yep, out of all of them, I adored him. reminded me of someone from high school.
I know right!
Wow, he was a great dancer. He gave a great perspective too. It was a lot of info in a short time, but. He kept it real. Glad the dancers know the cultural impact of ST that will be forever remembered.
I like that he said specifically that Soul Train was on Saturday morning and you had to get the house work done by 11am. That was life, whenever I mention this reality to my "other friends" they are in disbelief that, yes, we were getting our groove on, on Saturday morning.
Yup. This was our life too!! Get everything done so we could watch Soul Train. It was like a reward for cleaning...lol
I love Soul Train. But I have to say the 1989-93 New Jack Swing seasons were some of the best. The energy was on 10.
Yas!!
My favorite era
💯💯💯
I agree but I would even say 1987-1993. That New Jack Era is like second to to the early 70’s of the best time for Soul Train. Just a lot more dancing energy.
It's so crazy as I watch every move he did we did exactly the same moves in London and I mean exactly the same as a pre-teen so it took me right back to the best dancing phase of my life
_ST_ dancers from the past do not age AT ALL.
I agree!!
Dancing and true they are aging Gracefully.
They're Soul Train dancers! They're representatives in a way.
Truth No LIE
True 👍
Oooh he was fine 🙂
I just love these interviews! Terrell was dancing his behind off. I think I remember him but I definitely remember his cousin Leland. I hope to hear from him soon.
Oh man!! You have to love the Soul Train dancers!! They were so creative and made our weekends more fun!!
@Jay Mamba Jr I also miss the 70's and 80's.... Good times :-)
Loved him and his crew. And that he gave reference and reverence to the Nicholas Brothers!!!
I really like his style of dance! That old school hip hop early 90's
Never knew he was in the iconic Remember The Time video. Awesome!
Me neither
I am LIVING for these docu-shorts. As a dancer, I feel like this is my lineage. Keep em coming!
These ‘I Was a SoulTrain Dancer’ videos are the absolute BEST!!! I love how you’re getting history, cultural impact, and entertainment all rolled up in one fascinating video 😃
Terrell Ferguson....still handsome. I loved watching him and his crew. I love that Soul Train spotlighting their amazing dancers.
I'm age 65 and watched ST from the 70s and enjoy these dancer features. Dude could get down!
Man, growing up in Inglewood, me and my boys would check for Innocent Intentions and the Soul Brothers on Soul Train before they got on the risers. That's how highly regarded those dance crews were in LA in the late 80's.
I am from Chicago. I visited LA in 1988. I went to a Club in Marina del Rey. Hope I spelled it right. I saw some Soul Train Dancers in the club. I was so excited. I had my camera w/me. I was scared to ask them to take a picture with me.☺☺
That's good looking out.. Appreciate it
“I met my baby momma there” 😩🤣 and he made me a little home sick talking about Slauson Swampmeet, Del Amo and Beverly Hills all in one sentence!!! #CaliGirl
Bring back Soul Train! We need music and dance more then ever right now! Can someone start a soul train line from city to city, state to state! Unify the people!
That's up to BET.
How about a reunion show? Let's see if the old school dancers still have it!☺
Yes, minus you dog-haired devils diluting our dancing environment!
In todays technology times just start a channel on youtube and have people subscribe and get it going like that.
I loved the style back then. That just had fun and enjoyed themselves. He looks great
Damn, homie was cold with that shit😎
Had the drip and the moves.
MY GUY TERRELL "ALWAYS" BEEN A TALENTED BROTHER
6:36 "Mess around and bust my hip"
We feel ya :)
My era of dance as a kid #80’s baby!
*This is crazy good! Feels like they should make a new Soul Train for today's era. Humans never want to stop dancing and keep evolving!*
Just to hear him say
"mess around and bust my hip"😄
This was a fantastic time for everyone that ever danced on the Train 😊💯🌹🙏🏼
I watched Soul Train from Panama and it truly inspired me! I'm a dancer and now a roller dancer. To see Terrell here, it's even more exciting!!! This is the life! Dance, music and fun! ❤️⭐❤️
They should get his partner Ricky lemoli.. that whiteboy could move
That's crazy... I lived on a street named Lemoli in the South Bay region of California. They must only be a couple of years older than me.
Yes 👍
okkkkk! i was just saying the white boi was gettin innnn
The white boy is sloppy
Damn I remember him and his crew this was more my era but I loved all years of soul train
Interview Ricki Lemoli his dance partner next!
Get it Terrell!!!! Long Beach State in the house!!!! :-)
I like how they studied the greats like the Nicholas Brothers; much props to Terrell and his crew!
He's right. There's always a Slide of some kind. Usually "Electric". But that " Soul Train" line is lit. No joke, I've had family member lose a hair piece. But, they didn't stop grooving. Our line is always a couples line. For the adults. Thanks to all the dancers, and everyone, that made my Saturday Afternoons full of "Love, Peace and Soul". RIHP, Brother Don
Wanda Williams😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭 "... family member lose a hairpiece."
@@YasminE-dk6nf Yep. And we have it on video.. You know you're doing it; to lose it and don't know or care.
Yep Don was a hater at first , but then you couldn’t deny the popularity of HIP HOP ! He thought it was a fad as well , he even said it on his show . It’s still here Don !!
This is my generation. This was a dope interview.
All these SOUL TRAIN stories are so so beautiful OMG!!!
New Jack Swing era, my high school days!!!
Me too, middle school and high school.
Man these dancers always seemed so fun and outgoing
I love all of soul Train. Make me wish I had tried to get on Soul Train back then. They need to bring something like that back.
I think I saw him on a documentary about skating at Venice Beach 🤔
Love it ❤ Do Ricky Lemoli next, soul Train! 😊
I have enjoyed many of these Soul Train videos. Terrell gives maybe the most energetic interview of all.
He was killing it
Ha! Ha! They did "The Guess!""The Prep" etc... Oliver went to my school ,Soul Bros. was my dudes. "The Romeos" were my homies from Westchester Hi! Alex Thomas comedian was a Romeo!!!
This was sooo cool.
Take us ALL back to these days pls!! 🙌🏻❤️💪🏻🎶😎🌴✌🏻
Exactly!!😁🔥
We was a great dancer!
Yes I remember him from Soul Train also from Venice Beach roller skating I have him on a couple of my VHS
My favorite male dancer hands down. He definitely had the moves.
Yas I love it!! Give us more!!! Leland Ferguson!!
I want Leland!!!!!!
Yes! Leland got plenty camera time. Need his ST story for sure!!
Yup! Leland’s the man. Maybe can get his wife Mrs. Apple as well. She was also an ST dancer. She was like the Cheryl Song in the 90’s.
Excellent story! Huge props Terrell!
Awesome testimony to Soul Train’s influence and help for so many. The stories of the dancers give me joy.
Soul train Christmas party 🤯🤯
He was in that documentary, "Roller Dreams"
This was one of the best episodes. When he mentioned the Ankh, that solidified this as my favorite episode
Great Dancer!
Yes keep these soul train stories coming . thank you❤
Tyfs! Awesome!
Although they got 2 pc chicken and a canned soda they received great opportunities within and outside of the show! A great stepping stone for most of them!
I LOVE us so much💗 YAH made us a special people, literally. 🙌🏽 All Glory, Honor and Praise to Him alone❗❗
That brotha was☄️💥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Man I was 13yo visiting L.A. from Texas. I wanted to be on this show so bad. But was to young. There will never be a show like this. 😍 these dancers!
I could really relate to his story the most 👍🏿
Damn... Terrell was/is fine.
DEFINITELY ONE OF THE BEST DANCERS I'VE SEEN ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
these episodes are soo addicting, I love em!

He met his baby momma on Soul Train ... I'm shocked alot of their stories didn't mention any of them hooking up
MOS Def enjoy watching this I was a Soul Train Dancing 💋 Each episode dancing was Fill with Such Good Vibes. Spoke well About Don Cornelius (RIP) 😇 It's A Show that has Touched All of Us till the Day. Love Peace & Soul❤️
Dang I remember him he was one of me and my mothers favorite dancers.
Can we please bring Soul Train back!! 😭😭
Ima need the 16 ppl who gave this a thumbs down to step outside...😒 This man is DELIGHTFUL!!! I laughed & smiled the entire video. Very animated, joyful soul...thank you!!!🤗❤️
Don’t give your energy to even notice the dislikes. They do not matter. And you bring down the positive vibes by bringing our attention to them. ❤️
Yeah that "train" ride looked like so much fun! I wanted to be on it myself! Ohhhhhh those were the good ole' days!
So Energetic !!! Outstanding !!!! I'll always love Soul Train
Love him! That was my fave time!
He was a beast dancer and cute! Very dynamic and acrobatic. A beast!
Beautiful! We need a new Soul Train! I use to watch every Saturday!
I'm from Texas, but a cable station WGN out of Chicago is how I saw Soul Train
Notice a lot of comments about how young the soul train dancers look which is true. However ya'll know black don't crack unless you smoking a lotta crack. But Terrell was one of a kind. He was so athletic maybe the most out of all the male dancers from the 70's to the 90's. Very impressive!
I love the fact that people knew these dancers name!
Yep thank God for ur young youth and then we pray for Good health old age because we all age thanks for sharing 🙏
Amazing video, definitely a well described gentleman.
@8:29 that's him the Elegant dancer whom in my opinion had the best Dapperness Wardrobe Attire on Soul Train. I've been waiting a Year for his interview. There was another Dancer she was on Soul Train, during the earlier 1970s. She wore a lot of High Fashion Runway Attire. She was inside the Right On Magazine, along with other Soul Train Dancers. During the 1970s the Dancers were showing Prom Clothing inside of the Magazine. She was very Elegant. She and Mr. Marco were similar in their High Fashion Runway Wardrobe Style.
Damn i miss Soul Train I’m while I get my chores done!
I met my baby mama there, Lol......But really that white boy out danced they asses!
Thank you Soul Train love the video keep it going 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👍🏿.
You're so right I us to get up early and clean up the house and get dress and yes to watch soul train 🚂 before I go house and pick up me some dance move and see what new style was clothes to the hairstyles too
7:29 "do you remembah girl.. on the phone you and me???"
I remember him!! this is soo good.
Misa...very cutie blonde loved her style of dancing
These interviews are so fun! Love hearing the background stories! 🔥
