A Seized Moment - Michael sings AntytilA

We listen to AntytilA on Amazon Music and Spotify so much that Michael (age 8) has his favorite songs. He loves "Лови момент" which they translate as "Seize the Moment."
The song is about looking around you, being present in the moment, and, if I understand, not worrying about tomorrow because tomorrow will take care of itself. Michael loves this song and wants to sing along with it, but we do not speak Ukrainian. I can speak and read passable Russian that I learned at university.
But to keep the meaning of the song and also keep the vowels so Michael can sing along, I'm slowly translating parts of it so that the words in English blend with the Ukrainian. At the chorus when they sing "де соловей, де соловей лине" (d'ye soloVEY, d'ye soloVEY lin'ye) I am teaching him to sing "Oh, seize the DAY, Oh seize the DAY---" . Although "Catch" is the correct translation of "Лови," "Seize the day" has more of the "Carpe diem" feel to it.
The moment the song came on the Spotify rotation, Michael started trying to sing along. Then he asked me if I thought he could be a singer one day. "Well, to be professional singer, you need to practice piano every day, and learn a couple more instruments. It's hard work." He took a deep breath, nodded, and went straight to the piano to practice.
He will aspire to great things, like the nightingale (my broken translation of the chorus: де соловей лине).

Мы так много слушаем AntitilA на Amazon Music и Spotify, что у Майкла (8 лет) есть свои любимые песни. Он любит «Лови момент», что переводится как «Catch the Moment».
Песня о том, чтобы смотреть вокруг, присутствовать в данный момент и, насколько я понимаю, не беспокоиться о завтрашнем дне, потому что завтрашний день позаботится о себе сам. Михаил любит эту песню и хочет ей подпевать, но мы не говорим по-украински. Я могу говорить и читать на сносном русском языке, который я выучил в университете.
Чтобы сохранить смысл песни, а также сохранить гласные (чтобы Майкл мог подпевать), я медленно перевожу ее части, выбирая слова на английском языке, которые сочетаются с украинскими. В припеве, когда поют "де соловей, де соловей лине", я учу его петь "O, seize the DAY, o seize the DAY---".
Хотя "Лови," является правильным переводом "Catch," «Лови момент» больше напоминает "Carpe diem".
Когда заиграла песня и Майкл начал петь, он спросил меня, не думаю ли я, что однажды он сможет стать певцом. «Ну, чтобы быть профессиональным певцом, ты должен заниматься на фортепиано каждый день и выучить еще пару инструментов. Это тяжелая работа». Он глубоко вздохнул, кивнул и пошел прямо к фортепиано, чтобы попрактиковаться. Он полетит с соловьем.
