About The Blacklist: For decades, ex-government agent Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader, TV’s “The Office,” “Boston Legal”) has been one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives. Brokering shadowy deals for criminals across the globe, Red was known by many as “The concierge of Crime.” Now, he’s mysteriously surrendered to the FBI with an explosive offer: he will help catch the world’s most elusive criminals, under the condition that he speaks only to Elizabeth “Liz” Keen (Megan Boone, TV’s “Law & Order: Los Angeles”), an FBI profiler fresh out of Quantico. For Liz, it’s going to be one hell of a first day on the job.

The Blacklist | "Do you know who I am?"
/ sptv
This is beyond doubt the best character ever played by James Spader, a truly magnificent performance in every episode.
And also his Robert California one too😂
Its up there but I have to say I loved him as Alan Shore on Boston Legal.
@@paulgraham8155 Thats his best character. Who else can dress in a flamingo costume and still win a trial.
its very different to se james in this role compared to stargate serie.
@@paulgraham8155 agreed. I was laughing out loud in the Blacklist scenes where he's in court defending himself, antagonizing the beat cop, he effortlessly slid back into Alan Shore in front of the judge... perhaps my favorite series arc.
The guy Red is talking to, is giving some of the best terrified acting that I've seen in a long time. It's all in his eyes.
The gulp too! Can actors control that part?
Bonus points to continuity for keeping his glasses on lopsided.
Pulp fiction 'what' scene still #1
@@tebogomashapha3866 Nah, plus Sammy wasn't this much intimidating. But good mention, good memory.
Agreed! It’s a wonderful performance!
- Do you know who i am?
"No, I don't"
- My name is Robert California
Why is he treating the magician poorly
“I’m the f*cking Lizard King”
The only thing I didn't like about the Blacklist was Elizabeth Keen. She was an insufferable character. We are meant to be sad when she "dies" or gets injured, but I think many fans would prefer her gone.
I smiled and was happy. My only sadness was how bad Red felt.
I could not have said it better myself 👌
I agree😂 I absolutely hate her😂
I was so happy when she got shot but when it happened right in front of Raymond and seeing his face broke my heart literally
So glad she’s gone. I really only watched for Reddington, even the other characters are intolerable besides him.
james spader's dialogue delivery .. its on next level.. the way he takes them subtle pauses and emphasised on key points just made this show worth a while ..
It's actually on the next level after next level. Been doing it his whole career, too. It's just crazy what he can convey with his voice.
"Worth its while" :(
Red is a scoundrel,,, and I love him for that. Imagine him speaking to you so casually and knowing that he is very capable of doing horrible things to you
I'd try to be chill and say, "do you remember that weekend in Budapest when we try to convince Viktor Orban to relocate the location of the IIB, and we tried to hide from Nikolai Kosov? boy what a weekend that was".
I'd argue that he is far from being a scoundrel. The definition of scoundrel: - A dishonest or unscrupulous person. A person, especially a man, who treats other people very badly and has no moral principles - this doesn't fit who Red is.
Believe it or not dangerous people are generally pretty polite to one another. Kinda refreshing tbh.
"Meanwhile, sit back and enjoy the free peanuts"
"Ummmm, I have a nut allergy"
... "We know"
Interesting way to tell someone that is as good as dead.
One thing I appreciate about Raymond's characterization is that he is a criminal yes. He makes no apologies for what he is, there are no false sides with him. But he is a realist in the fact that he recognizes he can portray whatever he needs to be, to people. He makes them understand he can and will do horrible things to them if he deems it necessary. Therefore it's better to just speak to him, he gets what he wants simply by being present.
If it’s not, you won’t. One thing you can believe is that Red means what he says.
I love an honest villian
And the guy he was talking to seemed to understand that and not try to deceive him.
Elizabeth is gone?!
Ok I might just give the show another chance then.
LOL
Everytime you thought the show was gonna fizzle he juiced it right bac,k, you know someones good when they actually have you rooting for the bad guy.
The show got soo much better when they dropped the off the rails, all over the place needlessly convoluted arc about Liz' parentage. It was a great ongoing B plot for about the 1st half of the series, but just got mired in complexity for the sake of complexity instead of creating meaningful intrigue.
So glad we're back to Red just being Red again.
When does s happen? I dropped the show cause I was sick of that, but if it's back to Red just being Red then I'm very interested again.
@@idlemindedmage6925 the latest season.
I agree: it became painful to watch. An FBI agent supporting her "mother", who has just has two FBI agents murdered, made no sense. In fact, it was total bollocks.
One of the best series ever made
Show got so much better once Elizabeth was removed. I love the concept and idea of the character, perhaps with a different actress or writer/directing of the character? Not sure, but the execution we got, I simply wasn't personally happy with the execution of the character of Elizabeth and in every season she was easily my most disliked character even counting side characters. This here, is so much better.
She was ungrateful after all times reddington protected her
One of the best Lawful Evil character I've seen so far
No, Reddington is True Neutral. He has no particular adherence to order or the idea of it, nor a revulsion of it; instead he uses it when it's useful to him, and undermines it when it isn't, so clearly Neutral on the order/chaos axis. As for the good/evil axis, he does what benefits himself and his family, and nothing more. If he were greedy, sadistic, or willing to kill innocents with nary a second thought, he could be neutral evil, but he is none of those things. And he's definitely not good, so he's neutral on the good/evil axis. True Neutral. Just like many mercenaries, mobsters with codes of honor, assassins who refuse to kill innocents, etc. etc.
@@jadedandbitter ok
AWSOME actor and character!👍🏽
Spader is an incredible actor - kudos
Sadly the truth is there are innocent people who get caught up in high crimes without knowing what happened.
Hello, Captain Obvious!
That was intense
I’m the f**king lizard 🦎 king 👑
I was looking for this comment 😂
❤ Love your work:)
love to hear him talk .. can be funny ..or make you scared from it ..he means what he says! Love this show!!
When he gets up to do the dramatic walk-off, where is he going? They're on a tiny plane! 😂
Imagine someone introducing himself to you the way Redington did?? What will you do??
Tell the truth. Regardless of the consequences.
Or say "This is good one" and wait for the gun to pull off
Katarina Rostova, they revealed that in last season
I'll wish I never boarded that flight with him 🤣🤣
I would listen and be honest
Whoever the 'prisoner' is, he deserves a medal for helping kill off Keene.
They finally killed off the most annoying character on the show? I might have to give it another chance.
You're not the only one 😂
You mean I don’t have to hear about her and her mother for the 55th time? Jokes aside hope the show does well and goes out on its terms gracefully.
Yes she was extremely annoying. I also hated how she turned on Reddington at every opportunity.
Who are y'all talking about?
@@tillygreen9751 Elizabeth fxcking Keen
The Blacklist was awesome ! I hated to see it go off air !! Ramond Reddington is an awesome actor & that includes the rest of the cast !!!! Great job !!!
Stylish, knows History,know
Your wines, very smooth and charming, much respect Red .100 percent definition of a Gentleman 🙏
Enjoy the rest of your fight
Wow that is one scary guy
I wonder since the upcoming season is the final one, will they flat out say who he used to be? They’ve all but said it and we know, but will they let the other characters know? I’m beyond curious to see how they choose to end it.
I'm still convinced that he is the mum.
@@kris123o He is. Definitely. They’ve all but said it.
With you on this. I’ve watched this show 10+ times and every time I watch, more hints arise from the script. It is very much said but you really need to understand words, I mean, his character is so very well written anyways.
@@tuukkap601 totally agree. I've thought this since the Cape May episode then rewatched and it's evident long before. Especially when he refers to himself as a different person "back then".
I already thought it was a foregone conclusion that Red's - Elizabeth's mother.
this is kind of a master class in what not to do when someone questions you
I disagree. When Reddington asks you something, you'd better tell him what he wants to know.
I hope they end up making him out to be someone that no one would have guessed someone that hasn’t even been mentioned something so simplistic. Like a much older brother who took over the fathers name or an uncle no one knew about.
i think he actually is raymond reddington, but raymond reddington was always someone else to start with anyway...
If you ever saw legend with Sean bean, he'll be a similar character that Sean bean became toward the end of season 2...(was cancelled at that point aswell I think)
i think liz character is totaly incompetent she ventures out on her own and constanly gets in to trouble she always doubts reds word and thinks shes smarter but he always bails her out i wouldnt hire her to be a security gaurd lol
Lindos amo o trsbalho deles muito fofos 🥰🥰👍👍👍
"Do you know who I am?" Ronnie Pickering lol
To borrow from the movie, "The Devil's Advocate", he is the guy with the hand up Mona Lisa's skirt!
I would prefer to say that he is the guy on the Grassy Knoll, the guy in the Dal-Tex Building, the guy in the Records Building, the guy in the Sewer Drain and/or the guy on the Overpass. Take your pick!
please what episode, I can't remember 🎉
Intelligently orchestrated:)
This is scary from Red other than when he threw Smokey off the plane.
Raymond is so cold in this show
He was the same in The Practice, and Boston Legal.
Who else is watching with a pop corn. Raymond is the best
I don't know why, but I find it funny the whole time this tense conversation is going on that woman a few seats behind is chilling with her headphones on XD
Weecha is a very deadly assassin. Her aim with the dual guns, in "The SPR/SPK" was phenomenal.
This is S9E4 or 5
Best mover ever❤ Raymond 🫂🥹
Yeah binuhi ra japon ka sa kalangetan.
I love seeing Robert California play Raymond Reddington!!
Nobody does frightening quite like "RED".
I love it😂
Blacklist is the best show on television.
Nice to see Vic Reeves in a more serious role
He didn't want to, but the casting director wouldn't let it lie...
:grins: Glad I am not the only one who had to take a moment to figure out who I was looking at :D
I just love this about Raymond Reddington. He will tell you all the facts just as they are. 'My name is Raymond Reddington. I am a criminal and a fugitive. I am wanted on every country on earth and at the top of the FBI's most wanted list. I am armed and dangerous!😂😂😂
That last part tells you you shouldn't try doing anything stupid around him. 😂😂😂
I love james spaded he,s best actor
I really him in "Boston Legal"
So did he make it to class?
He did.
@@mrlionX Does Red give him the funding for his device? That seems like a very Red thing to do.
*IF ITS NOT, YOU LEARN TO FLY* (would've been a better answer)
I figured it out...very powerful people.
Which episode and season is this?
9
This may be a spoiler 😊
Andrew Kennison- Season 9 Episode 15
Roberrrrrrt califorrrrrrrrniiiaaaaaaaaaa
Do you know who I am? Aren't you that guy that did that thing with that other guy once? Yeah, that's me...
Well that sounds like a fair deal.
the terrified guy looks like chess player levon aronian
Ah.. desperation for money. The catalyst for all good and peaceful outcomes.
luv the show so sad it's about over ---- I will miss it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😍
Spader made watching the Blacklist enjoyable. Although the writers were to blame, Elizabeth's love/hate relationship with Reddington grew tiresome, as did her on/off romance with Tom. Likewise for those teasers about her past and Red's real identity. I mean, gosh! Commit to disclosure but don't keep yanking the viewer's chain.
Oh James ?
He is Ultron
@BoxxFactory' should do a video about the blacklist
Did Liz die? Then he's a hero.
Yes
I know one thing about him, he’s no friend of mine.
Some actors, the really good ones, like James Spader "light up" a scene and make you happy when they walk into one of them.
Elizabeth Keen on the other hand, like Megyn Markel's character on Suits, was insufferable and a buzz kill.
Totally agree..! Hated that entitled biotch…!!
In this day and age, I can see cops doing things like this.
Especially New York City cops!
He's the @#$%ing lizard king.
So, did he make it to class the next day, or did he not make it?
A rose by any other name
I miss you
is it james spader ?
It's a shame Sony Cant take Red before he handed himself in to FBI! Would be great now to see the before and how he got all the power and the network and so on
If its not, you won't.
I hope that wanted man follow up on that.
Robert California?
Elizabeth Keen - The 'Kim Bauer" of The Blacklist.
I thought that was Vic Reeves so I went "Yeah, you're Vic Reeves". But it turns out that's not Vic Reeves.
It seems I would not make a good spy.
Ju huhhuh mitä sakkia
ça me vient pas là tout de suite
Soooooooooooo.... Did he make it to class?😅
Remember how very handsome he was as a young actor? Well now he's not so handsome but he's a fabulous actor..>!!
Red always said he was not Liz's father. this goes all the way back to Season 1. He told Alexander Kirk that Elizabeth was his Daughter. Also true. The puzzle pieces were there the whole time.
How are you certain he was Katarina?
I predict he was just a caretaker of Katarina's vision of a better world, not in the hands of the government.
The video? That's how I'm certain. The clues are all in this video. (and there are a few more I left out. @@ryandsouza547
Man I hope a Bull doesn't come out of nowhere...
My wife and I love this show, and ALMONT every character. But we joke that it should have been called 'Everybody Loves Lizzy', because almost everyone does, and I'm damned if I can figure out why.
Annoying little narcissist.
I wish I had never been born
Express that to Sharon Gail Haggard
ben ahad polliakoff ... on a répondu prout
I hate this show ended, I hate Demba didn’t have his back anymore
From the first episode I didn’t find her behavior very believable. A rookie FBI agent who basically acted like she was a senior agent in charge of most things.😜
un des nombreux échecs du renseignement ... je n'ai pas vraiment de vie médiatique
OMG, I love James acting! As he ages, I find him as attractive as the aging Sean Connery!
Aku mesti gimana kalo diancam ?
Ultron
Did he make it to class?
This man is a representation of george galloway
Kalo diancam, aku mesti gimana?
Season 10 will be the last.
