How to Crochet Granny Stitch Girls Dress, Size 3-4 Years Old, Easy Crochet Pattern, Video Tutorial

- Since I posted this tutorial for a newborn dress a couple of years ago, I've been getting requests for more crochet tutorials for baby and toddler dresses. In this video I would like to share this simple granny stitch pattern for a little girl's dress in size 3-4 years old. The stitches used are chains, slip stitch, single crochet and double crochet.
Materials:
3 skeins of Feels Like Butta yarn by Lion Brand Yarns (100% polyester), color Lemon (1 skein = 218 yards = 100 grams). Total: 654 yards, 300 grams.

Hook size G (4.25 mm)
Finished measurements: about 26 inches around chest, about 21 inches long.
Gauge: 8 stitches = 2 inches; 2 rounds = 1 inch in height

I don't really know. I guess you can try crocheting around the arm openings to create, but I'm not sure how it's going to look.

I can't really they off the top of my head, I would have to recalculate and rewrite the pattern. But if you used lighter yarn (maybe category 2) and a smaller size hook, and follow the same pattern, it should work.
Good tutorial. I thought when you said that 88 Stitches is starting to crouching for the bottom of this cute girls dress 👗. The 88 stitches are to started for the Top of this dress. I’m new for this project

If you use a smaller size hook, the dress will definitely come out smaller in size, but I can't really predict what size exactly it will be.

Congrats on the soon arrival of your granddaughter! Unfortunately I can't say off the top of my head how many chains, I'd have to re-work the pattern and make new calculations. Do you mean you made a round yoke instead? It should still work!

I made most of this dress for my 3 1/2 yr old great granddaughter & the neck was way too big & she wears a 3 & 4 in tops. How can I remake it so the neck won't be too big? Take out 1 set of 3 dc on each side of the neck?
You can make a round (or a few) around the neck, decreasing amount of stitches (the corners would probably be the best spot for that).
@@OlgaPoltava Well, I got so frustrated that I ripped out the entire dress & started over with a smaller hook & I think that may solve my problem. I'll let you know how it works out. Thank you for responding.
