How to crochet a cute baby pinafore style little dress for 0-12 months

  • Welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby. In today's tutorial I will show you how to crochet this easy baby girl pinafore dress, frock or gown for 1-3 months. You can also make this dress longer and use as a christening or baptism gown by simply adding more rows to the skirt. And if you want to make it smaller or larger you can do it by simply changing your hook.
    For this crochet baby dress tutorial I used Lion Brand light #3 baby yarn. I used about 100g. You may need less or more depending how long you want your dress to be. You can also use cotton thread #10 just use 2 strands.
    Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy this crochet baby christening or baptism crochet dress tutorial by crochet for baby.

      @CrochetForBaby  Před 6 lety

      Yes you can use cotton thread. If you use #4 cotton thread you can just use a 5.5mm hook to get that size. However if you use #3 or 2 strands of #10 cotton thread I’m not sure since it’s very thin. I’ll try to make it bigger and upload the video once it’s ready. I’m thinking 91 chains.

      It could be at the beginning of the row or the previous row. It’s not much of a difference so I would just continue like that and reduce 4 random stitches on the next row.

    One skein is enough? :) and on the other hand, I have beautiful yarn, all weather by Alison&Mae, but it suggest 8 crochet hook, and I dunno... What to do to crochet baby dress with that yarn.

    Thank you for your tutorial. I’m making it now. I just have one question once the sleeves are set on that little first part you don’t put any more on it right! You just keep making the dress part?

    Such a beautiful and well taught project that I'm working on at the moment. Would anyone be able to tell me the stitch count for increasing in size please? I guess I'm just working for more fans at the beginning but what multiples would I need to go up by on my beginning chain to achieve this? I want to make a matching one for my two year old too so increasing hook size would be too gappy a look x

      @CrochetForBaby  Před 5 lety

      The stitch multiple for the base chain is 4+1. Good luck 👍

    I found a pretty pink color but it's a medium 4 , should I still use the same size hook it find a lighter yarn ? It's so hard to find the right shade of pink as it is. Thank you as always. Your tutorials are the best

      Hi. If you use med #4 yarn with same hook it will come out bigger. If you can go down a hook size using that yarn would be the best thing. Good luck 👍

    Why does my tutorial not start at the beginning? I cannot use unless it startts from the first stitch. Please help if you can.

      You need to double tap on the left side to rewind or move the red line at the bottom.
