- In todays crochet tutorial I will show you how to crochet this absolutely beautiful dress or frock for baby girls from 0-3 months. This crochet baby dress can also be made smaller or bigger by simply changing your hook size and making it in the exact same way as this tutorial. Just remember these sizes are not exact they are approximate since not all babies are the same size.

TO MAKE SMALLER OR BIGGER
NB use 2mm hook with Dk, 8ply or #3 yarn
0-3M use 3mm hook with Dk, 8ply or #3 yarn
3-6M use 3.5mm hook with Dk, 8ply or #3 yarn
6-9M use 4mm hook with Dk, 8ply or #3 yarn
9-12M I used 4.5mm hook with Dk, 8ply or #3 yarn
Materials used:
Baby dress = 165g of #3 yarn ( I used Premier Cotton Sprout)
Baby headband= 9g of #3 yarn ( I used Premier Cotton Sprout)
Ribbon for bow: 7/8in wide and about 24in long with pre-made flower sewn in the center and purchased from Joanns
Ribbon around waist: 3/16in wide and long enough to go around the waist about 18in

Sara I had made this entire set two years ago with #4 red heart yarn.. I loved how it turned out...but I am going to make the dress again this time with the recommended hook size because the yarn I am going to use is much softer yarn by loops and thread, it almost feels like the Caron simply soft yarn, as we are in spring now and she can wear it till the summer months, so beautiful!! my granddaughter will look so gorgeous in it!! Set is so adorable! Question...how well does the headband with the ribbon tie stay on a baby's head?
I put it on my baby niece and she kept it on for a while. Most babies sleep so it stays on. Someone mentioned that they attached a little piece of elastic in the back and that worked too.
