Leah’s Pinafore Summer Dress Pattern by Crochet for Baby
Hello 👋 my name is Sara. Welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby. In today's tutorial I will show you how to crochet this easy and beautiful baby girl pinafore style crochet dress, frock or gown for 1-3 months. You can also make this dress longer and use as a christening or baptism gown by simply adding more rows to the skirt. And if you want to make it smaller or larger you can do it by simply changing your hook size as explained in the tutorial.
For this crochet baby dress tutorial I used Wendy Supreme DK cotton yarn (link above). I used about 120g. You may need less or more depending how long you want your dress to be. You can also use cotton thread #10 just use 2 strands or any #3, DK or 8ply yarn.

Sara what is the difference with light # 3 yarn and 4ply yarn
I ordered mine from wool warehouse. Baby yarn which are all 4 ply
So I made this dress with that wool came out smaller but nice
4 ply is thinner than #3 or dk yarn.

I would use a 4.5 with baby yarn if you crochet loose. Or a 5mm hook with baby yarn like pound of love by lion brand. The only thing is that yarn is hot. I’ll try to make in bigger size soon too. Thanks for watching 😊

Ok I saw it. I’ll see what I can do but I’m getting ready to go on a much needed vacation in July and August so not sure if I’ll be able to do anything anytime soon since I’ll be traveling abroad for 2 months.
oh lovely i am on holiday at the moment only gone to Norfolk we bought a new caravan so just trying it out lol enjoy your holiday weather has been really hot here in uk at minute that pattern she made 14 sts for front and 22 for back it came out huge about 20 inch chest how many sts would you reduce for 3 months 16 inch chest xxx😀
Thats great! Enjoy your holiday 🤗 I think I would do 8 for each sleeve and 16 for back with 3mm hook and dk yarn for 3-6m. Now this is just a guesstimate 😅 I hope it helps
