- Hello 👋 my name is Sara. Welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby. In today's tutorial I will show you how to crochet this super easy baby romper, dungarees, jumper, overalls, shortalls, or shorties for baby girls from 0-3 months with snap buttons. You can also make this newborn baby romper smaller for a newborn baby or bigger up to 9 months by simply using baby yarn and a different hook size as explained in the tutorial.

For this tutorial I used James C Brett double knit baby yarn which is a light #3 baby yarn in the color lilac. I used about 110 grams of yarn along with about 10 grams of white yarn. If you're in the USA I recommend you use Lion Brand Baby Soft yarn since its the equivalent to the yarn i used. To make this little romper I used a 3mm crochet hook. Here’s a link to where you can purchase the yarn, hooks and the snap button kit. Thanks for watching.

Hi Sara, which is better to buy snap buttons for baby rompers. I'm making one. Pls let me know ok
Dear, i have been following so many of the patterns you shared on you tube... I must admit, your tutorials are amazingly successful... I am doing this baby romper for my future little family member... I would like to thank you especially for having made me be able to do such wonderful baby clothes. Until present i did a cardigan, i did hats, booties and nw rompers... Thank you... ☺☺☺
You’re very welcome 😉 and thank you for your support always 🤗
@@CrochetForBaby you are welcome.
Hi, thanks a lot for this beautiful pattern. I just have one question regarding the sleeves spaces. My fundation chain had 48+1 chains with that I got the 11,5 inches (29cm) but I can't figure out how to ajust the sleeve space. Could you kindly confirm how to define/ajust the space for the sleeves? Thanks a lot
I love your work and made this for a friends baby, they have asked if I could do one for their older child 18-24 months what size hook would you recommend please. 😊
Try with a 5mm hook.
I am loving this so far😍 I am just wondering how many inches should the 14 rows of fans should be? I am using a thinner yarn so it would be great to know
Thanks!
Hi I have one last question. I would like to combine this yolk with a dress from your video 131 which has 19 fans. since this has a multiple of 4 + 1 giving us 57 chains for the yolk I like with the 19 fans can i just add 4 chains and do 61?
❤
Hi cannot seem to fine the line on video where u attached the stitch markers sorry checked over and over maybe i am overlooking ? Very nice romper just started my first one South africa
Hi Sara, love this romper but I've been putting off making it because of the snaps. I'm a terrible sewer and really struggle with lining up buttons properly on crocheted items, so I decided to take the plunge and try it with snaps. I learned so much with your videos and made many cute little outfits to donate. Now, I was wondering if you could do a short video on how to use your snap kit - preferably showing the felt strip idea as well as how to attach the snaps. Right now, I'm working on your latest blanket. Thank you so much for your videos, they are so easy to follow.
In another tutorial I show how it’s done a little different but definitely works too. Here’s the link czcams.com/video/fTaySXSS7LM/video.html
@@CrochetForBaby Thank you, Sara for sending the link to this little romper but I was hoping for a little demonstration on using the snap kit itself. I'm okay with doing button holes but have no idea how to work with snaps on crocheted items. Do you have another video that just shows how to work the kit?
Hi...if I use a G hook and a light 4, would that work out?
Hi. I love this pattern but do not want to put the buttons/snaps in. How can I just close the crotch area?
When your making this which way are the front posts supposed to be facing when you get to the second half? She doesn’t say.
Muy lindo. Pero no entiendo. En inglés lo. Quiero en español gracias
Ya está en español también. Mi canal es bilingüe 😉 presiona la ovejita que está al lado del nombre de mi canal y te llevará donde están todos mis vídeos.
Love this video and pattern. Making it now. :) What type of felt did you use, what size was it cut to and how was it applied?
Glad you like 😊 I just used regular craft felt that had been pre-washed. You can also use a mall 1/4 in bies tape or a small piece of fabric in same size for length of opening. I recommend fabric or ribbon instead. I just weaved it like a ribbon thru each of the dc. I hope this helps.
@@CrochetForBaby...WOW...thanks for the quick response!
You’re welcome 😉
How much yarns did it take for you??
Que pesar pero no entiendo pues soy muy mayor y no se inglés bendiciones
Gracias amiga pero también va estar en español ya que mi canal es bilingüe. Espéralo en unos días 🤗
Do you think I could leave out the bottom bit and put a frilly bit to make a dress
Yes it will look beautiful. I have made it in a dress before 😉
Crochet For Baby thank you will let you know when I have done it xx
I just a little confused. Can't figure out what is the count of the fans before I do the sleve? Never mind watched again and saw what I missed. Th u

Lost when joining the two parts after neck line. Yarn at wrong side..
Can i use one colour yarn
Yes 👍
Is there any tutorials for this designs ?
What do you mean? This is the tutorial.
Hello! Question: In video you say 3 mm for 0-3 but note under video says 3.5 mm. I am using Mandala 3 weight to make 0-3, which hook is best please?
Oops 😬 yes use a 3mm hook.
@@CrochetForBaby thank you, now I can begin. I appreciate the speedy response and love your tutorials.
You’re very welcome 😉
Is there a written pattern that I can follow too?
Yes. Here’s the link to my Etsy shop crochetforbabystore where you can find the pattern etsy.me/3qJJBA4
I am not a beginner crocheter, however this is too complicated for me to do without a visual pattern to follow. Do you have a written pattern to help with the "ruffle" part? Please advise.
Is there a written pattern please.
No sorry 😐
Too bad no written pattern. Can't waste my time trying to translate your instructions. Good bye.
@@patsygoates1567 Wow arent you just lovely 🙄
@@jennyoconnell4464 thanks
Y en español 😢
Ahora estará listo 😉
I have never in my seen someone use their middle finger to yarn over like that!
Is that good or bad? 😉
I am making for a larger baby. I am curious though at the length before making the legs. A 0-3 month baby is shorter than a 6-9 month. How much longer will it need to be for a good fit?
If you’re using a bigger hook it will automatically be bigger in that area because the stitch is bigger with a bigger hook. I hope that answers your question 😊
@@CrochetForBaby no it don't, I realise a bigger hook will make it bigger around but it won't add length. Your measurement is for 9.5 on the stop for the crotch on 0 to 3 month but babies grow longer I would think an inch for each age group would be necessary. I am not trying to be a pain I love your stuff but this just isn't computing in my mind if that makes sense and I am an experienced crocheter. I just see t want to make sure my great niece won't have a wedgie lol
Yes that is correct, the measurements are different but If you use a bigger hook it’s automatically bigger by at least an inch all around. Have you made it using the bigger hook so you can see what I mean? I know it can be confusing but try it and you’ll see what I mean. It does come out bigger in the crotch area and all over. I’ve done it many times myself 😉 Also if you want to play it safe you can add a couple of extra rows in that are, the design will not change.
@@CrochetForBaby thank you! I appreciate your patience with me. Love your videos
This is very nice romper but you talk too fast for me to catch what you have said or if this pattern is in written form so I may keep in step as I would luv to crochet this for my niece
Hi sorry about that. I will have the written pattern in my Etsy shop crochetforbabystore. I’ll add it today as I just finished writing it 😉
I love to learn to crochet with your CZcams channel, how ever sometimes you talk a little fast and hard to get what you doing. I pause and back up serveral time. I keep trying..lol
I’m sorry 😞
@@CrochetForBaby No need to be sorry I am persistent and keep rewinding you.
Hi plzzz silo are u very fast talk about video
