  • This video is a step by step tutorial on how to crochet an easy pinafore dress / top / shirt / tunic. This pinafore dress can be made in any size from baby to girl to adult and is suitable for beginners.
    For my crochet dress I used a 5mm crochet hook and Drops Bomull-Lin yarn. I used 2 strands of yarn at a time to make my dress thicker/chunkier.
    Thank you very much for watching!

      Patrice Walker Hi Patrice, thank you for watching and the great feedback! It took me a long time to work out an easy dress pattern that could be adapted to any size so I am glad you like it! x

      WoolyWondersCrochet You're quite welcome. I will say that I tried to create an adult size top from this pattern and the sleeves didn't quite work (too tight). I also think the neckline needs to be increased (more stitches in succeeding rounds) because it didn't lay flat across my neck and shoulders. Have you made an adult size one?

    • @woolywonderscrochet7586
      @woolywonderscrochet7586  Před 10 lety +2

      Patrice Walker Hi Patrice, Although this pattern can be made in all sizes, it is probably best for a baby/child. If I were you, I would add in a few extra stitches in the armholes and around the neckline to accommodate for an adult. I hope this helps x

      WoolyWondersCrochet Thanks so much for the tips! I'll try it again with those adjustments. Btw, what weight yarn are you using? Looks like you're hold a double strand. Would you say DK weight?

    Thank you for the video! I am a beginner and all the other tutorials, they talk to you like you are a pro and skip through settings they think are "easy" and unless you know all the terms, it's really hard to understand what you are supposed to do. This is one of the only crocheting videos I can follow.

    Hi there - this may sound stupid BUT.......I am in the UK and follow your tutorials.I understand that the instructions are not in UK terms and I am able to follow them, however I do get confused with the yarns etc. You say you used 2 strands together for this yarn - but looking at the yarn is it equal to Aran? So my question is "Do I used Aran or Chunky for this" with the 5mm hook as I want it to come out the correct size......................confused Suzanne

    • @woolywonderscrochet7586

      Suzanne Mears-Lyons I used Drops Bomull-Lin yarn which is Aran weight. I used 2 balls at the same time to make my dress slightly thinker as this yarn is on the thinner side! I would recommend using yarn that is suitable for a 5mm crochet hook, my preference is Drops Alaska. I hope this helps x
